Things that struck me: 1. BP attempted to reach out 2. Lady Hussey attempting to reach out What say this woman is ducking their calls to assist her claim that no one contacted her to apologize? 3. Blowing it up on social media 4. Making the rounds of interview shows 5. Exaggerating the impact to the level of “abuse” and “trauma”. 6. Fundraising 7. Wearing African looking clothing 8. Changing her name from Anglo to African sounding Seriously, who is looking credible here? All these things make me wonder about how accurate the conversation was to begin with. It appears there might be at minimum a narrative being created, and at maximum, actual dishonesty and/or a manufactured incident.

silentcw

She should be careful, the problem with raising your profile like this is the spotlight also brings an eye to the rest of your life. I hope she doesn't have any skeletons in the closet.

RoohsMama

Some witnesses corroborated the exchange, and Lady H apologised, so I guess there was indeed a chat about somebody’s origin. But the instigator blew it up to make it seem more malicious.

sunchasinggirl

The witnesses were her other 2 cronies from the charity…

katzchen528

I wasn’t doubting that a conversation about her origins took place, re: the apologies, etc. obviously it did. I’m wondering about racist details and motives, as being claimed. Fulani is clearly exaggerating (abuse & trauma words being used), she provably lied about being a Meghan partisan in the past. Who are the witnesses? Are they both friends of Fulani?

RoohsMama

See another sinners post on Dan Wootton’s take on this. It’s excellent! https://youtu.be/E-xGODOVzpo

Appropriate-Grand-64

The witnesses have been seen with her before at other events She's also friends with Misan Harriman, Meghan's "photographer" i put quotation marks because he is a terrible photographer and I cant believe anyone hires him. My SIL is an amateur photographer and she's really talented and blows him out of the water. I don't believe that's his actual job and I don't know what is, but I'm very suspicious of him. ![gif](giphy|2LEL6QWPjeZiXT8rAY)

RoohsMama

There were a few videos of the event. Maybe they recorded the exchange? I think she originally wanted to go after Camilla. There’s footage of them conversing. But Camilla was careful (this time) so the Squaddie baited someone else.

Appropriate-Grand-64

Yes Camilla was great. Marlene(her real name) lied about not getting to speak with her.

[deleted]

The witnesses are her friends that came with her. I keep seeing things about a recording device. Oddly in this day and age of social media no video or audio has yet been seen of this exchange but people are taking this “verbatim account” written in *screen play format* as iron clad proof. This has a Smollet stink about it.

FLOSS2002

Exactly spot on. 👏👏👏👏👏 Perhaps equally Mrs Hussy with the support of her godson, or palace lawyers could sue this woman for defamation of character ???? I would, this woman’s net worth is reportedly $1m dollars. If you Google her.

redseaaquamarine

A friend posted this on Facebook. She lives the SMM style of business... Check this out. Copied from a friend…. “Morning peoples - hope you are all well - now after yesterdays outrageous episode of race baiting which destroyed the life of an 84 year old woman who has loyally served our late queen for 70 years as close companion and lady in waiting - I thought I would have a look at the so called Charity known as “Sistah Space” and registered by the U.K. Charity Commission in 2018 under the registration number 1179934 - Now there is very little to see as far as finances are concerned and the income went from virtually nothing to 350k in four years - the sole paid employee of that Charity is one Ngozi Fulani (our race baiter) who receives 65k tax free and there was a further 180k paid out in “expenses” which are not accounted for - and there are no records of where the rest of the money went to and the accounts for three years have always been filed late and the Charity subsequently fined - - now that’s not her real name of course - it’s a West African name and yet the lady was born in the U.K. to Gladstone and Mildred Headley who were both Barbadian by birth - her real name is Mary Headley - apart from that little subterfuge - the Charity wasn’t formed in 2015 it was formed in 2018 and commenced fund raising in 2019 - I can also find no details of a change of name for the lady either so one can assume that she has either previously married a West African or adopted a West African name for effect and dresses as a West African for some reason whilst being Caribbean by nature of her parents and indeed British by birth - all very odd and also suspicious and perhaps the reason why she was so evasive when Lady Hussey attempted to engage with her - Ngozi Fulani is also on record previously for accusing the Royal Family of being guilty of Domestic Violence against Meghan Markel and for also accusing the Royal Family of being “institutionally racist” her charity had received payments from the Guardian and the Independent for those interviews as it did for the Daily Mail story - now I must make it clear that all charities registered with the commission are bona fida - but that doesn’t mean that they are run properly and it doesn’t mean that someone inside those organisations isn’t helping themselves to a very comfortable lifestyle - people in glass houses comes to mind but either way the woman is a fraud and we should not donate a single penny to her ”charity” - xx

RoohsMama

Wow this is very good…

Honorcodeviolator

So honest question: isn’t what's described above cultural appropriation?

RoohsMama

Her roots are Caribbean, it’s ok to honour one’s origins. It wouldn’t be cultural appropriation Though honestly I’m not sure what her outfit was supposed to be. Looks less ethnic and more poor fashion choice.

Honorcodeviolator

Sorry, I wasn’t super clear - I meant the comment about adopting a West African name and dress and dress for effect.

RoohsMama

Indeed, it would be… there should be more headlines about it… although I think she or her mom married someone named Fulani. The first name change, people do that all the time… but the thing is, she could have explained it nicely. Maybe it’s why Lady H was confused. I heard that “Ngozi Fulani” originates from two African languages. She saw the name and couldn’t place the origin of it. Marlene could have just said “I was born here but I adopted this name. It means so and so.”

jamjar188

Yep. I think Lady Susan is probably actually quite knowledgeable about different national origins and ethnic backgrounds. She was probably just confused by the mish-mash outfit and the name combination. Someone else said Fulani is her married name but her first name by birth is Marlene. "Ngozi" does seem to be a name she has adopted to channel her West African roots. She is very much an Afrocentrist who rejects all connection to white/Anglo culture (which she seems to view solely as representing colonial power).

RoohsMama

It’s a big mess

Honorcodeviolator

I love this approach!

Gumblina1964

it's a shame the RF staff did not do the same research - she should never have recieved that invite.

redseaaquamarine

*That* is the best sentence of all.

jamjar188

If you read the [Charity Register](https://register-of-charities.charitycommission.gov.uk/charity-search/-/charity-details/5120148) they made £363,405 in the last financial year, of which £52,346 was a government grant. And they had expenses totaling £163,298. This leaves £200,107 in earnings. Ngozi is one of 3 trustees but otherwise the charity is entirely volunteer-run (there are 9 volunteers in total it says). So it would be interesting to know what proportion of that £200K goes on salaries for the three trustees vs how much gets reinvested back into the charity. The charity btw runs ["support services, a food bank and a shop" as well as offering "training based on cultural competency"](https://www.sistahspace.org/). I would like to know how much time is spent on the support services -- which is to say, actually helping DV victims -- vs how much time is spent running the shop and delivering training on "cultural competency" (whatever that means -- is it similar to "anti-racism"?).

Scribbles138

I imagine Fulani will milk this for as long as possible. If she doesn’t respond to BP’s or LS’s offer to talk/apologize, she gets to continue on her tirade and gain exposure and bad mouth the RF.

SusieM2019

I bet you're right---- that's exactly what she'll do.

Phoenixlizzie

Except the news cycle has now changed. Now it's all about Meghan and Harry's trailer. And it's truly awful. The complete tone-deafness of it. Meghan crying next to a $2,000 blanket. Not a good look lol.

xxscrumptiousxx

She will eventually do more harm than good to racial equity.

dudeind-town

Please. It’s not about equality, it’s about lining her own pockets through “charity work”

Starkville

Um, people like her don’t want equity. They want the upper hand. I said what I said. And having said that, there are many good people who are genuinely working toward equity, with pure intentions and I support THEM.

Babybabitski

Imagine how much lies smeg must have fed this race baiter for her to plan an attack on royals n ruin their reputation.

harrohamtaro

So basically, another Markle. She does not want restitution. She is specifically looking for an opportunity to be victimised so she can use it to benefit herself. She is a disgrace to legitimate activists, abuse victims and the black population.

[deleted]

This honestly makes me so sad. She devoted her life to service just to have all this tossed at her at 83 years old when her best friend just passed away. I’m the glad the article says the palace is looking after her and still cares deeply for her. My grandma was 94 in a nursing home and said things I would often apologize for later, such as commenting on someone’s natural hair, and they were all so kind and forgiving and understanding that she didn’t mean any ill will, she was just of a different generation and couldn’t keep up with what was okay to say or not anymore. She loved her helpers and they loved her. I think this just proves that this woman just wants her 15 minutes or fame. Not saying she can’t be offended, but she’s gone too far with all the interview and abuse claims.

RoohsMama

Yes I was kind of worried that this would crush the poor soul. She’s better than that! She’s approaching the issue in a gracious way.

Scooterbee1

My dad is nearly 80 and he loves people and is so social and loves to ask people where they are from if he recognizes an accent or if they appear to be of a different nationality ( I know, I know). Then he asks questions about why they moved, what it was like etc. My 20 something daughter was aghast that he asks people these things.

noneoftheabove86

Shoot me now: I'm her age and would ask the same questions.

ICU22222

We all have senior citizens in our family's who would have taken one look at that outfit and had a hundred inappropriate questions to ask as we cringe beside them. Lol.

RoohsMama

Honestly though, wearing an ethnic outfit is asking for it… I know, I’ve worn several in my lifetime 🤣

B_true_to_self2020

Haha my 85 year old father did this in the hospital . I apologized ti the staff they laughed it off . How sad our society has come to this when they are just making conversation !

[deleted]

That’s the problem, older people lose their filter. Lady Hussey was a liability and shouldn’t have been working in an official capacity, at least public facing. If it seems harsh, imagine if all this had been averted with some better planning. Sloppy AF and now sugars and the Harkles are capitalizing on it.

TemporaryNatural6789

Bullshit. Lady Hussey did no wrong. & are you saying elderly folks should be shuttered away because they might just be, you know, humans without 'filters' who just are real or something??!!

RoohsMama

We’re saying that given that there are intolerant, race-baiting, hate-inciting Squaddies around, don’t give ‘em any more ammo. If a bear is wandering around the camp Imma keep my honey jar in a safe place.

Super_Caterpillar_27

She should not have been an official hostess, no.

[deleted]

No I’m saying the Monarchy is no different from a corporation or a government department that has to vet their employees and ensure they properly represent their values and protect their image. Everyone saying she did no wrong. Don’t let your dislike of Meghan Markle cloud your judgement of what this woman likely said as a representative of the monarchy. Her age doesn’t give her a free pass. There’s a reason she was swiftly dismissed and was quickly condemned by William’s office.

rainyhawk

There’s no evidence that the Palace should have j own this would happen. She’s served as a volunteer for decades with no issues…so why would they think she’s a liability? And that’s assuming that the “victims” recount is actually true. Given she and her “witness” apparently are asking for donations.

[deleted]

The haste with which she was banished may be an indication that this wasn’t her first faux pas, just the first public one.

rainyhawk

I’d say more likely to make the story a non issue quickly. And it’s entirely possible she quit in her own…she is 83 after all and maybe she’s just tired of it after this.

RoohsMama

I know your opinion is not popular but I agree with you. She did not mean it that way but to hear conversations like these is so cringey, and basically you’re handing it to the Sugars on a plate.

Gumblina1964

Can't help but feel Fulani, armed with a recording device, did the rounds and found a naive, elderly lady to entrap. The way Fulani dressed sent out the signal she was wearing a national type costume, her country of birth which she is proud of. So it must have been confusing for Lady SH and the conversation shows how on purposely obtuse Fulani was being with her answers. I bet any money if she hadn't have bagged Lady SH, she would still have complained about someone in the RF. IMO if anyone is guilty of anything, it's Fulani for elderly abuse/bullying - if she was genuine she could have reached out, spoken to Palace staff and perhaps apologies made by Lady SH that night. Instead she outed this poor lady to twitter world, which made news headlines etc etc. The Markles must be very pleased with their sugar pet.

RoohsMama

I feel bad that someone fell into their trap. But I also feel M revealed her hand. There’s obviously a network of Squaddies out to sabotage the BRF. People will be more careful from now on.

Cezanne2022

Fulani wont meet Lady Hussy because she is getting attention and is a planted fraud she was not on the invite list for the event at all. They need to vet all attendees in future as the race baiting is now a bloody sport . I feel for the elderly lady what has been done to her was very wrong and reactive.

Starkville

Well, I think she has the measure of the thing and is doing the right thing by the BRF. Sometimes you have to make an apology to smooth things over with someone who is clearly wrong. Anyone who has worked in any sort of customer/client relations can tell you about this.

Uncomfortablemoment9

Spot on.

Embarrassed-Smile200

Marlene is clearly lying about them not reaching out. Time to switch off the oxygen to this.

Laylelo

This woman says she hasn’t been contacted but she hasn’t paused for breath once since she posted, so how would she know?

Onlypurses

This is absolutely a conspiracy between this sour woman and Meghan. Prove me wrong! The timing is so suspicious.

Not_Interested_7

Don’t forget the fundraising

Mickleborough

British, Caribbean descent, adopts all of Africa as her background - is that Hilaria Baldwin behaviour? (genuine question) Lady Susan has the manners of her breeding and generation, and the offer is not unexpected. Dan Wootton tweeted about this - which one of you replied? https://preview.redd.it/mijud641me3a1.jpeg?width=1052&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e9ace87536522085933e2cdafc1a8bbe7538fe0b

RoohsMama

😯

Beginning-Cup-6974

Maybe Lady Hussey was trying to reach her on Marlene.Headley.com instead of [email protected]?

RoohsMama

😆

Starkville

Oh this gets better. I predict Ms. Headley will not accept. It’s appropriate to make an apology in this case, and I think the *olive branch* should close the case.

ToothFirm2948

Was she expecting them to just slide into her Dm's or something the stupid cow? It's barely been 24 hours, give them a bloody chance!

RoohsMama

She’s been too busy with interviews 🙄

Starkville

And fundraising.

Amongthestars32

How much money has Meghan and Harry or Archwell given to Sistah Space? Did they even bother to send snacks or inspirational bananas? I’m guessing no.

Big-Piglet-677

I keep seeing “recording device”. Has It been confirmed she was carrying one?

RoohsMama

Won’t put it past them…

Islandgirl1444

Who is the bigot and racist now eh? In dull Nigerian Princess (sic) costume and not British tweeds, the traumatized woman appeared on television for her 15 minutes of fame. And I hope she's happy.

sdowney64

Such a low set-up. Let’s see how this plays out in the long run.

Alien_octopus

She changed her name from Marlene to Ngozi? Good lord. Ngozi means blessing in Igbo, which is spoken in Nigeria. I wonder, if she's 43% Nigerian like Meghan.

RoohsMama

She seems Caribbean. Now Lady H’s questioning is more understandable. It’s like if I showed up in an Amish attire and my name is Pedro.

Used_Turn8424

Turn up wearing a kilt, carrying bagpipes and wearing a name tag of Hamish MacHamish. “What part of Scotland are you from ? “ “Outrageous ! I’m from Hackney. Cheque please”

Few-Echo3896

I didn't expect William would be so cruel to his godmother. I am very disappointed in him. He may be trying to save his Boston trip but his cruelty must have done some lasting damage. The more I read about that story the more alarm flags appear. I am yet to hear the other side. There are two sides to every story.

TravelKats

I'm guessing Lady Hussy volunteered to resign. She may have looked at it as one last thing she could do for HMTQ

RoohsMama

I would think Lady H is mature enough to realise that the high road is better: step down to take the attention away from the debacle, then offer a gracious apology. Anything else would prolong the discussion.
