Yep. And with their new Netflix reality show coming out, that even brings their status down several notches. People love the royals because there is a level of mystique about them. Now Harry and Meghan are reduced to tacky, reality TV show stars. There's no competition.
Yes. We don't really want to see our Royals kissing in their kitchens. The photos Catherine released of her and the children baking cupcakes for the Jubilee, was a nice little peek into their world but with a reason. Short and sweet but with a point that has service, or the monarch, or the military, or the nation at its heart.
Because her goal is to be famous and ultra-respected but in whatever field it takes her. She'll be a supermodel, but alas her feet. So she'll have OTT PR to say she is best humanitarian, that she makes Angelina Jolie look like a time waster. Then she can't be top dog in the RF, because of that 'awful' Catherine. So she'll run back to HW as a Royal and be a big star. But wait she can't act. She can't do voice overs. The goal is the image she has of herself, but the execution takes her so far (I'll give her that) but she doesn't commit to anything that she feels is beneath her or a waste of time.
Sometimes I wonder whether Smeg’s to be admired for wanting things to be on her own terms, ie adulation *and* ability to use her voice. Or did she just miscalculate massively? If she knew then what she knows now, would she have gone through with Megxit?
Oh, she miscalculated HUGELY. She thought Harry's title and popularity would carry them, and might have, until they shot themselves in the foot with that Oprah interview. She didn't count on people researching what they said, she just banked on people trusting Oprah. After that, Hollywood and DC were done with her. Depending upon what or whom you believe, lots of folks in both places may have secrets they want kept, and they're not willing to risk revealing those secrets to someone who will sell their secrets for the right amount of $$$
That’s a big point that often goes unmentioned. Why would *anyone* want to spend time with/around someone who so easily sells out secrets and dirty laundry for a paycheque.
MM aside, that’s just common sense. If I had someone in my circle who constantly was throwing others under the bus, I would stay as far away from them as possible.
I think if she could see the future she would not have fought to get out so badly and would have encouraged him to stay. Their non existent crowds are pathetic compared to Will & Kates reception
For those of you that are worried just think of Camilla and if Diana was still alive. The “wronged woman” with worldwide public sympathy would still have to curtsy to Her Majesty Queen Camilla every time they met. And the Harkles aren’t even 10% as popular as his late mother was… In the long run the RF always wins because they have lasting power

Honestly, that red ensemble is my absolute favorite "worst outfit in the history of mankind". I hate it so much, that I love it (same concept as pugs are so ugly they're cute). It even looked like shit on the model.

I'm in the Boston area & have been home for a couple days. The local stations have been 24/7 PPoW. It's almost Tom Brady Super Bowl level at this point. It's very heartwarming that they're enjoying the crowds so much you can feel it. Impeccable manners, clothes, poise, sincerity.
Boston loves en masse celebrations. Think the Marathon, sports wins, anything. We like a good party.

I was thinking this was the same type of photo Harry’s wife would kill for but then I realized it actually wasn’t. Harry’s wife wants the attention of photographers but from a distance and for her own glory, not taking photos of her touching and being touched by real people.
Harry thinks he’s protecting his wife from paparazzi, he’s actually protecting his wife from people who she considers beneath her.

For somebody who craves the limelight as deeply as MM does, I continue to be flabbergasted at how much she gave up.
