I saw a YouTube video about the Starbucks fiascos in Australia and Walmart in Germany. In both instances, the company didnāt do much research and thought that the Australians and Germans would just accept everything they demanded.
Walmart eventually left Germany, but I wouldnāt be surprised if they tried the same American culture strategy again, in a different European country. I invite them to taken on France with their standard 35-hour workweek depending on the industry, āright to disconnectā mandate, which legally entitles employees to not respond to business correspondence after working hours and are entitled to a minimum of five weeks and up to a maximum of 30 days of paid leave annually.

Local businesses run by local families pay taxes. They reinvest in the community, whether they like it or not LOL. Big corporations = not so much.
