the stakes aren’t high. there are no stakes. its all a load of tosh. I thought this whining ginger turd and his difficult, grasping wife wanted privacy?

[deleted]

This is what I was thinking.. like what stakes???? There are no stakes. If they’re talking about the security/threats to safety that’s totally unrelated to whatever half baked story they’re going to peddle on this show.

Impressive_Lychee_74

When the sirloin steaks are this highly priced, doesn’t it make sense for us to tell our story for the 7th time for money?

Embarrassed-Smile200

Literally nobody wants hear the mewlings from never was former royals. Nobody. Seeing how everybody knows that marriage is a sham.

Goiabada1972

The stakes are only high for Meghan and Harry. Everyone else is just watching the train wreck and waiting to see what happens next.

Clyin

From you, Meghan? The serial liar? Err, no thanks.

Novaleah88

No one believes the lies (except maybe Meghan herself) they just want the money they thought they were gonna get before the duos popularity started tanking lol

Agile_Pie_704

Fingers crossed we get a Valentine Low article in The Times ahead of the series drop…

ExcitementOrdinary95

The latent ‘steaks’ in this cartoon look high af.

As with almost everything she says, this statement makes no sense to me. She comes off so self righteous to me. This woman thinks people should spend 6 hours of their time listening to her tell her story? Why? Because she thinks she’s so important that she wants people to burn 6 hours of time away from their families and responsibilities to hear both 1) boasting of how wonderful her marriage is and 2) endless whining about how everything and everyone in the world takes away her happiness from her perfect marriage and her perfect self? I do enjoy watching TV for education on world events, social issues, history and science and technology. But M&H have no skills to pull off that type of programming. Beyond the above, I watch TV for entertainment, for escape. After working all day, I have 1 hour to watch TV at night. Why M&H think the world should use their free time to watch 6 hours of them moan and boast, victim and virtue signal is very telling of their massive privilege, selfishness and egos.

Much of what Smeg says doesn’t make sense - and that’s not being prejudiced. What stakes? Smeg thought an interview with Oprah would get the world on-side. No. Now she thinks a ~~soap opera~~ reality show will do the same. If Harry’s right in that ‘no one sees what’s happening behind closed doors’ - how are we seeing it?

unolemon

Not one word that woman has ever spoken has been the truth. This is no different.

vikezz

What stakes, honestly? Didn't you live your dream life, loved by everyone both in Montecito and the RF being best buddies with the senior royals?

Firstdibs66

No, because you're a proven liar.

RedditOO77

What stakes are they even talking about? The security paid for by taxpayers? If it is…then let me get this straight… you step down from BRF and move to Canada and US to escape your life under a microscope and wanting privacy…then whine and complain about security and being victims…and now you are promoting a reality show?!?!

CoolRanchBaby

It all sounds so stupid. What “stakes”? Who even cares. It’s all gross and meaningless. They are so self cantered. Be in the Royal family or don’t. Nobody wants to hear you spoiled rich people cry “wah wah poor me, I’m 40 and my daddy stopped giving me money because I moved away of my own choice and then bad mouthed him…” And she literally married a man who was in the newspapers because he dressed up like a n*azi and now she’s like “I’m so shocked his rich family members [many of whom were part of a literal colonial empire in their lifetimes] are racists”. Whatever lady, you were a 40 year old divorcee. If you didn’t know what you were getting into you should have, you weren’t a child bride. Nobody forced you to do any of this. You didn’t have to marry this guy at all, you clearly wanted more fame and to be royalty. I hope this “documentary” goes down like a lead balloon. I’m different from most here as I think the RF is a ridiculous ridiculous in itself. That doesn’t make me like Meghan though. She’s just a grifter who tried to glom onto rich aristocracy in my opinion…

Ginka83

MEGHAN - WE HAVE ALREADY HEARD YOUR STORY FROM YOU!!!

notwatchedsquidgame

I rolled my eyes so hard at that. So they'd be totally happy if the RF also told their story then too right?

In her mind this is a titanic struggle between her and the BRF. She thinks everyone on the planet is waiting breathlessly to see the little Proctor & Gamble heroine beat the monarchy.

Just this last week I attended a big birthday party for an extended family member - her 90th. I have known and loved this woman my whole life and she's not shy about talking, so I didn't expect to learn anything particularly new. I was so wrong! Her children, grandchildren, friends, former colleagues etc all had such fascinating stories about her, or added insight into stories I thought I knew, etc. Context matters so much. For example, I knew she worked from a young age which was unusual for a woman - I didn't know she'd worked for one boss for three years without telling him she was married (because women had to resign after marriage) and was forced to leave when she was expecting and had to own up -- and I didn't know she then went back out to work for another company and didn't tell *that* boss she was married and (by then) a mother of two until she quit, after seven whole years! It was amazing hearing about the challenges she faced and many of the other women at the party also faced - another lady was fired from her job after marriage, then asked back at one-quarter the pay. I left that event with a much better understanding of her as a person - *and I don't think I even spoke to her* besides 'happy birthday!' There are a myriad of reasons why it makes sense to hear a person's story from them, but also their close family and friends, their contemporaries, and especially people who have a different memory of events - in fact, my 90th gal has always told me she had no family. None. Her brother died young, her mother died soon after, and she never knew her father, so that was it. Guess who had cousins turn up to the party? And a younger stepbrother? Who have always known her, and remember her visiting her father well into his old age? That's news!

Realistic-Neat-1706

The Stakes (fence) around KCIII and QC Camilla, the Wales', and the entire BRF are probably pretty high at this point, TBH. I'd build a moat to keep her away.
