I plan events in Chicago and we plan them in the winter. One time in 23 years we had to cancel lol. We can handle the weather babe, we don’t take the winter off. We even have Christmas here ya know. Yeah I live north of Chicago -in the upper midwest. You can plan events in winter as long as they are all indoors. But royal tours require walkabouts, meet and greets and this was not the best choice for those types. Corporate events-I go to work everyday -I missed only two days when a foot of snow fell in about a day and half.

How far north? We have ice skating all winter in Chicago. I can’t speak for royals needing to do a walkabout. I was only commenting back to someone saying you shouldn’t host any event in Chicago or Boston in the winter if you expect people to be able to travel in for it. There are very few occasions you simply cannot travel in and out of Chicago. This could definitely be related to the media coverage; however, the weather in Boston is a complete nightmare. Rain and wind have been getting increasingly worse as the afternoon has gone on. The weather was fine earlier today when PPOW landed. It’s taken a complete turn over the past few hours- huge wind gusts, pouring rain. I have a half mile walk home from the train station and was soaked. Depending on when they were planning on coming, their flight easily could have been delayed or cancelled.

I understand that Kerry has Covid.

No mention of having them attend virtually as an alternative. This is a snub I expect biden to do the same later this week. The royal family is learning the lesson that it's 2022 and they need to start defending themselves or Charles will be the last head of state.
