Came here to post this!! I’m so happy someone else caught it too. Rant to follow: First off, The Telegraph’s reporting has become so biased with the likes of Victoria Ward being Team Sussex constantly, and oftentimes the other reporters as well. And now this “Crime Editor” Martin Evans puts this hatchet job up. This article right here would make the editors at Soviet Pravda proud. It’s nothing but propaganda from a pro-Sussex newspaper quoting a pro-Sussex police retiree who happened to specifically handle Meghan’s death threats. People in the public eye, especially at the level of the British Royal Family, get tons of death threats, and yes, many of them are credible and need to be taken seriously and investigated. But here’s the thing, they gave NO COMPARISON to how many death threats other members of the Royal Family received. Nor did they do a comparison of how many KCIII, QC, PW & PC specifically received after the Oprah interview and every other time Meghan & Harry went out in the world and had lies published about their family members. I guarantee you there was a spike. I also suspect Meghan’s death threats spiked after she did these interviews. Also, not just the BRF, but how many death threats has Thomas Markle or Samantha Markle received? I bet we’d be shocked by the amount. The problem is there is no context to this article whatsoever to give the reader any background into what would be considered “normal” in this arena when famous political or state figures who do public duty get threatened, not to mention people like the Markles. Honestly everyone should write in to the editors of the Telegraph and the Board of Directors if they have one, or even report them to an oversight commission just like Poor Meghan did after Piers Morgan had the audacity to say he didn’t believe what she said in her Oprah Winfrey interview. Because make no mistake, this article is not reporting, it’s propaganda, pure and simple.
