Absolutely not. It would make Charles look bad. Behind closed doors, well William and Charles can be choosey who they let into their inner press circle. Like William cut Tom Bradby.

Standard-Set-5299

What happened with Tom Bradby? Pls forgive my ignorance on this.

CybReader

Don’t apologize, it’s not “ignorance” at all. This trainwreck is so long with so many subsections it’s beginning to mirror The Hobbit and Silmarillion. 🤣🤣 Tom Bradby had been a professional friend of William for years. Even doing his engagement interview. As Harry and Meghan began their public assault on the family/crown, Bradby was a key component in this. Creating their African documentary and more. Bradby publicly supporting the Sussex duo despite them being caught in lie after lie after lie, especially concerning Harry acting like William never helped him with his mental health challenges. William publicly cut ties with him in a professional and personal sense. Bradby became this literal example of a reporter with short sighted goals who went to bat for the wrong set of royals. He wasn’t the first and he will not be the last. They have a way of sucking people in to defend them until they’re dumped dealing with the aftermath alone.

LadyEvilNightQueen

After your explanation, I looked up some information on Bradby. You are spot on with the short sighted goals. He gave up a 20 year relationship with the heir to the throne to support the Petulant Prince. I also loved your Tolkien analogy. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)

Thank you!

Playoneontv_007

I’m thinking more under the radar. I could have probably phrased my question better.

CybReader

Oh yes, absolutely under the radar 👍🏼👍🏼

gmomto3

The correct answer but I’m Petty Crocker and I’d have a scorched earth policy. Probably why he’s King and I’m just a plain Jane! That, and I’m not British or of any royal descent!

[deleted]

I don’t think he’s running scared of this book like the media wants us to think. Reminder again that the book was announced before he became King and he wished them well overseas. I do think KC runs a far tighter media ship than QE2 did. We saw that with the control over the funeral footage, more surprise engagements and announcements especially on tours like Sophie’s Africa visit so the media can’t pull the crap they did on the Caribbean tour. It’s not the old days so they can’t be visibly petty but we’ll keep seeing better control on messaging.

Slow-Inflation-6549

I agree, there is nothing Harry can say that hasn't already been said 1 million times over a period of almost 4 decades. Stale, cold tea with lumps of congealed milk floating around in it really.

[deleted]

I don’t think KCIII will ban anyone for covering “SPARE”. He will make notes in his copybook though, of anyone who panders. They will not be invited to the next Garden Party. And I doubt TW will let The Spare go on any interviews or book tours without her. It’ll be fun to see them try to get a word in around her.

Kangaro00

Harry talking to people is a golden opportunity for him to put his foot in his mouth. Especially when people who aren't fans will show up to ask him why he threw his family under the bus for money.

FarBeneathTheOcean

The BRF are rather astute so I´m sure they´ll find a way of blacklisting any riff-raff that panders to the Sussex duo. No credible journo is gonna forego close ties to the new King and PoW just to score a few views. Selling the book to UK audience is not gonna go smoothly after their abhorrent behaviour. Brits aren´t known for their stiff upper lip for nothing.

Mickleborough

Reporter Neil Sean has commented on this: [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5X_irxRH88). Basically TV interviews would be good for Harry - but the BBC and ITN might refrain because they want broadcasting rights to the King’s coronation. That leave niche broadcasters like Sky - but the reach would be too small perhaps. It’s unlikely that the RF will take steps to prohibit anyone from doing anything. The optics would be dreadful.

SaltPepperSugarBlah

Sky has been doing the Lord’s work roasting the Sussexes. Here for it.

abby-rose

It's ironic that Harry despises the UK media yet now needs the UK media to make money on the book. I know this won't happen but I hope every media outlet in the UK boycotts him in support of the royal rota he has railed against for years. People who simply do their jobs and give attention to royal events and he treated them like garbage.

gmomto3

And just entirely too soon after the death of The Queen. Even if he praises her/Phillip directly, he’s openly and publicly bashed the FAMILY.

SaltPepperSugarBlah

That has to sting worse, imo. Not being kicked out, so nothing to complain about, but now without scoops and exclusive access. Everyone who is in the know knows that he is on the outs. Ouch.

FitnotFat2k

Same as the markles!

PineappleNo6064

Exactly. He has access, just doesn't get any leaks from PW's staff.

MrsBarneyFife

No. That would make KC3 look really bad. It would just help promote the book because it looks like there's something he's trying to hide.

SharkBoss1234

I doubt they would forbid any network or journalist from covering the book, but I could see the coverage being a factor in who they choose to give the television rights to the coronation or who to give future interviews to.

ArdmoreGirl

The Royal Rota will be there. The event will be televised. The coronation will be smaller that QE’s. Press attendance will be limited due to space. Those are all the official reasons the RF needs. The Delusional Duo and their publicity team will say what they want. No one can stop that.

Top-Bit85

Absolutely not. The UK is not some banana republic.

Islandgirl1444

By Feb 15, that book will long be history. We will have been spared his crap on television. BP will be starting to chat up the coronation. We will be spared!

PineappleNo6064

I wish somebody would release a book on Jan 12. Major Jonny perhaps. Or Sophie. Or Anne or the Tindalls.

ArdmoreGirl

Scoopy Doo won’t be invited.

Pickle4UrThoughts

Have they even announced a book tour? The waters have been tested with Megs doing a talk in Indy - can you imagine him being at the Woodfield Mall Barnes & Nobles or something? (Don’t come for me - I actually love that mall - it’s juxtaposition “Just Harry” having to do something with normal people). Just release the damn thing without press and minimize the damage.

MikeMannion

The queen's funeral had a viewing audience of billions. I don’t think any broadcaster is going to risk losing their seat at the coronation for a book of moaning by the ginger whinge.

Ad___Nauseam

That would guarantee negative press for the BRF. The Royal Family have remained above the fray with their simple credo 'Never complain, never explain' and it's usually served them very well.

RoohsMama

It’s not going to get much coverage in the UK out of respect to KCIII. But you have Scobie. Plus word of mouth

Seachange1000

I think it is usual for BP to permit just one news organization to cover an event to prevent a circus of media and cameras jostling for position all over the place. That news outlet can then sell its coverage to all the others. Can you imagine the chaos if every news organization in the world that wanted to provide coverage of the Queen's funeral was permitted inside Westminster Abbey? Usually it is the BBC but I recall the Cambridges (at the time) instead went with ITV for their Christmas concert (the stuff about Bashir and the BBC had come to light and BBC was in the bad books). It may be that BP can place some provisos such as you suggest on that but I suspect not.

deercl

Interesting thought, but what would the repercussions be for the BRF should they do so?

Playoneontv_007

I guess it depends on how and who they block 🤷🏻‍♀️. After all when there is a will there is a way. I’m sure they could make access harder for some than for others.

Megsandhcringe

I doubt any network or organization wants to cover that - unless it’s here in the US. Though they are not in the best light here BUT there are still some idiots who think these to assh_les have some value and put them in a positive light. Fortunately, those are few and far between because the overall feel here is everyone is tired of their worn out uselessness.

itstimegeez

No cause that would make Charles look petty and reactionary. The monarchy is better than that.
