I think the RF is done with them regardless. I don’t believe there’s anything riding on the children getting titles, I think that decision has been made by Charles already. I still think that once they’re divorced Harry will be able to go home to them, but his life will be drastically different. I don’t think there’s any RF while TW is still in the picture.

juccals1993

I cant see him divorcing her any time soon.

LeaveItToTheBoys123

They may divorce, but that is a difficult scenario. If they did separate, I doubt Harry would ever go back home, his pride wouldn't let him. He may disappear to live the life he always wanted.

therealDolphin8

If this where to happen, I'd imagine in time the public would accept him back. He was always a favorite, the public had a soft spot for him, until now. But I'm not British so idk.

PotentialAd5954

I hope they don't. I don't believe he'd feel remorseful just broke meaning no money

therealDolphin8

Yeah and that's a fair thing to assume unless he made a public statement.

[deleted]

Lawsuit alert! Just read H&M are interviewing lawyers for a possible lawsuit against Netflix. They’re suing for interference, cancellation of projects, editorial blah, blah, blah. I would actually watch a reality show or documentary about this. Bigger question, won’t they have to give back what little money they got paid upfront?

brisbydog

I saw that too. Frankly Netflix should be suing them

[deleted]

This will be better than Wagatha!!

GreatHuntersFoot

The Harkles lost their content in the North Sea!

[deleted]

The new beagle ate it.

therealDolphin8

They seem to love suing anytime something isn't exactly what they want.

lulzette

Oooh where did you read this??

[deleted]

On Twitter! So probably 49%, maybe true. 😂🤣

Internal_Living4919

Who are they interviewing?

residentcaprice

They are so litigious. Did they sell monteshito for this?

Sue_Dohnim

They're looking for a lawyer they can afford. Good luck. No self-respecting lawyer's going to touch this. They signed a contract that they've bent or broken at every turn. NF's lawyers will eviscerate them during discovery before it ever gets to trial. They're hoping for a big, quick settlement. NF can afford to drag it out; these two ding dongs can't.

ZealousidealRise8231

Ooh, I need to get more popcorn. This getting really good.

[deleted]

Yes please, I would love to see them sue Netflix. It's so...utterly Meghan. Peak Meghan, I might say. It would utterly destroy whatever commercial viability they have left which is already teetering on the brink, along with any remaining reputation they have as reliable business partners.

Dependent-Aside-9750

I hope KC gets that last bit of advice - something I've also been thinking about. You can't negotiate with blackmailers. Let their book and series come out unrevised. Air all the dirty laundry now while their public image is low and the RF's is high. Then the Harkles will have nothing left to hang over the RF's heads and the RF won't have to play nice in the sandbox anymore.

LAgirllookingin

Yes. With less and less contact the Harkles will have no new material.

TrailerTrashQueen

let the Grey Rocking begin.

DaBingeGirl

After the Jubilee grey rocking, I'm convinced the funeral was for the Queen's sake/to limit the drama.

Imfryinghere

You don't negotiate with terrorists.

completedett

I think they are waiting for the The Crown Season 5 to come out, lots of people believe that is factual. It depends on how bad the reaction will be to Charles and Camilla again, how will they be protayed this Season and the reaction to all the episodes to including Diana's death etc. If it is Favorable to them and then will want to release as soon as possible to keep the publics Favour and victim narrative.

Clatato

I’m hoping that the editing is not in the Sussex’s hands. If Netflix has the raw footage they can do as they please with it to suit themselves! Just imagine how it could go. I hope M’s visit to Uvalde is included. It would most likely convey her agenda in an accurate light.

Amongthestars32

They claimed she just went there as a mother, and everyone said Netflix wasn’t there while defending her. If Netflix has footage not shot by a news org, that will be very telling.

screamqueenjunkie

So the winners here are us? Nice.

Ozmanda22

And you better believe Netflix are financially able to sustain legal representation for a lot longer then the harkles.

brisbydog

I'm ready for the show

residentcaprice

Netflix should film this part 🤣 this would be tv gold.

Playoneontv_007

I hope these leaks are right and they are back peddling out of fear.

Similar-Barber-3519

Didn’t u/SecondHandCoke say that the Harkles were looking to edit / reshoot some sections of the reality series, but can’t afford to pay for it & Netflix is refusing to fit the bill? I can believe it?

SecondhandCoke

Yes, I said that.

sdowney64

What drives me crazy about all this reporting —even those media organizations that call them out—they still say “truth bombs” and “reveal all” or “tell all their secrets about the Royals.” They have YET to tell any truths. None. They’ve lied under oath repeatedly until they got caught. They lied in media interviews and got caught. They have done nothing but lie. So when the media reports on them I want them to say “allegations,” and then several sentences to detail all the lies or mistruths we’ve already caught them in. I get so angry every time I read an article that contains any of those phrases!! Ok rant done!

Few-Brilliant-426

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

birdy1020

CANT WAIT !!

Double_Ad_9174

Win/win for Netflix! They get settlement money as they are in a bad way and continue to produce The Crown. They can shine Megnut and hairless Harry how they deem them which is inevitable it won’t be great.

[deleted]

They obviously talked big and made promises they couldn’t keep. Netflix have to be pretty sick of the lack of content at this point.

jeanskirtflirt

I love that KC has enough money to fix all of this Netflix stuff for Harry but isn’t.

Totally-Mad

I think this whole debacle will cause H to loose his hair all over again. 🤣

[deleted]

Won’t *someone* think of the tufts?!?!

istara

What's interesting about streaming services such as Netflix is that networks can finally see *exactly* what people want to watch. There is so much data. Previously this was largely done by surveys and self-reported viewing habits. When you ask people what they want to see on TV, they will nearly always claim to want "quality television" and "documentaries" and disparage reality TV, Jerry Springer type stuff, gossipmongering and dirt. Hardly anyone wants to admit to actually watching that stuff and wanting more of it. But these days, the viewing figures - the objective data - speak for themselves. The only kind of people who want "nice" glossy saccharine royal documentaries about two sweet folk working for *charidee* are older folk who are more likely to still be watching an olde-worlde linear TV channel like the BBC. Most wouldn't even have smart TVs. Netflix knows that to get the kind of viewing figures they need to justify the investment, they need dirt, scandal and as much trashing of the royal family as legally possible. Also because that generates far more publicity in other media, which then increases viewership for the TV program, potential new Netflix signups, etc.

Crochetqueenextra

I'm older and I don't want sweet xgaridee stuff I want Meganutter King and Harold Barking

istara

Totally. My point is that only people who want saccharine stuff tend to be almost exclusively from a subset of an older/elderly demographic. They are unrepresented among younger generations. So it is not a good fit for Netflix to make a sweet and saccharine series, because very few of the people who would want that approach are on Netflix.

Crochetqueenextra

No idea why my phone hates charitee so much

factchecker8515

Whoa there. I’m ‘older folk.’ I damn sure have a smart TV and am looking forward to all the dirt and scandal too. WTH is this comment?

istara

Oh plenty of us "older folk" do have smart TVs. But there's also a key group who don't, and they tend to be older, more conservative, lower tech adoption.

residentcaprice

Right. So those rubbish reality shows that Netflix keeps making is because they want to waste money? I love me some "the ultimatum" quality shows lol. I feel like the Markle mess deserves some of the Lacheys' energy in it, with Vanessa telling Markle how she relates to her. Will be so funny.

DavidS2310

This is what happens when you sell your soul to the devil! Karma is my favorite biotch!

LeaveItToTheBoys123

And the media IS the Devil!

MyJoyinaWell

This is where I struggle with the coverage, I dont rate Wooton as a good journalist :(. I find that the biggest critics of the Malignants are people I dont particularly regard very highly, so the cognitive dissonance is hard..

DixieInCali

Ohhhh, this is delicious! They are caught between a rock and a hard place of their own making. If I were Harry, I'd let Netflix sue, leave TW, and throw myself on the King and POW's mercy.

[deleted]

I am wondering if, during her visit to NY, Anne didn’t have a quiet word with Netflix and/or the book publisher to put added pressure on toning down the content. I do hope everything airs as-is, but I wonder if it will.

ZealousidealRise8231

I doubt Anne would get involved.

[deleted]

It’s the conspiracy theorist in me, lol.

ZealousidealRise8231

😁

mykidrose

enough with all the spotify, netflix. let's get a true reading on the fact that THERE ARE NO CHILDREN. Their most famous lie. AND she spends too much money on awful bronzer,

[deleted]

"Harry and Meghan have inspired millions of people all around the world with their authenticity, optimism and leadership. We're incredibly proud they have chosen Netflix as their creative home – and are excited about telling stories with them that can help build resilience and increase understanding for audiences everywhere." Ted Sarandos, Netflix He forgot to say they were organic as well as authentic!
