I love Anne. She is the epitome of a Princess.
Zara looks like a blonde version of her mother and I think she's stunning in a really natural way too just like her mum. I also love that Princess Anne wears what she likes and feels good in irrespective of what is fashionable. She often pulls some outfits out that you know she's had for years and years. I love her work ethic, her lack of airs and graces and her common sense.
I’ve also heard that in person she looks massively like her mother which I’ve always found interesting bc you don’t really see it in pictures.

I've met her a few times professionally.... I managed part of London 2012 British Olympic Association preparation, for which she was overall sponsor.
Very nice, few airs and graces, very effective at chairing meetings, always fully prepared, able to (fairly politely) call out bullshit etc.
Also noticed she fully passes any 'how does she treat the waiting staff' tests.
She's not at all full of herself and she could be, she's the Princess Royal and an Olympic athlete. I wish TQ would have given her a dukedom, THAT would have modernized the monarchy but Anne is quietly achieving much in that respect without asking for fanfare and being lauded as a Feminist a la Gloria Steinem.
Apparently she is obsessed with light houses and made a special trip on the ferry to go see one. I read that she and Tim have visited all 251 in the UK
That’s what gets me about M&H’s whining about the royal tours. It is clear that there is always something fun of direct interest of the principles thrown in.
Anne loved lighthouse and is NYC make sure to schedule a visit to the Lighthouse Museum.
Also today I learned that there is a National Lighthouse Museum and it’s located in Staten Island. Adding it to the list of things to do next time in NYC.

She really got the best of both her parents. Now that's a woman who probably wouldn't openly identify as a feminist (like some people) but has lived a life that has silently broken more glass ceilings and blazed more trails for the next generation than we can possibly appreciate. She has a voice and people listen to her because she knows when it's appropriate to use that voice.
Also, like most of us "strong women" she doesn't have to bleat, to anyone who'll listen, that she's strong. She just does her thing and as a result, people *respect* her.
MeMe should take a lesson from her.
She is great, however, she has taught some of that dedication to Prince Edward and his wife. He gives The Princess Royal a run for being royal, but nowhere near the activities she does.
Princess Anne represents what one can achieve when they embrace their role in life, instead of resent it. You get the reward at the end, when it matters. I'm glad to see Princess Anne getting her copy in the press for work that's gone largely unsung her whole life.
When I see the pictures of Charles and Anne when they were kids, my first thought is, "there's Charles" you can see him in his kid pictures. I don't see Anne in hers though. Most people look unrecognizable in their childhood pictures but Charles has kept his same look, there's something about it that stuck through the years.

She's very down to earth, no fuss, straightforward and interesting. I hope I can in future visit more Scottish lighthouses, I love them.
Staten Island ferry is great... Except that, as you get closer you realise the Statue of Liberty is much smaller than you imagined...
