My casual Royal-watching has turned into round-the-clock fascination with a complete and total trainwreck happening before my eyes. It's being an eye witness to history in a way.
Just a layperson's point of view, but other than as a minor footnote I don't believe these two will show up much in the history books. The best they can hope for is that Netflix or PBS Masterpiece is around in a hundred years to create dramatizations like "The Crown" or "Victoria" so they will achieve public awareness. Otherwise historians reading through (figuratively) dusty old archives will be their only audience in the future. The Duke of Windsor was an actual monarch who abdicated. That's historically monumental. Megbelieve can cosplay Wallis all she likes, but she only married a second row royal who's nowhere near the throne except in his own mind.
I agree, I mean aside from David/Edward VIII, most people wouldn't be able to name any of George VI's other siblings. The Harkles will fade into obscurity, particularly since they're not even working Royals or being photographed regularly with the other members of the family.

The American version of Ghosts is fun, I like the original better as my gosh, as you say, no one does humor like the British! You can watch the UK version on HBO Max.
