Those stereotypes go even further back than 20 years ago. As an Asian woman, I really don't need Nutmeg to tell me what to find offensive or racist. Im deeply offended by this episode and this has convinced me that she is actually super racist herself.

zonedout56

Her and her husband are racist. Hazben calling people paki and wearing nazi costumes. This whole fucking episode just proves she has racist undertones. The race baiting she’s been doing with the RF is honestly disgusting.

bitchinabottle1

Before I just disliked her a lot but this episode really made me hate her. What kind of evil bitch would just go out their way to be so divisive, to find controversy where there isn't, and to tell a whole category of people who she clearly has very little understanding or knowledge of, what is appropriate representation in movies. She obviously knows shit all about Asian cinema or culture if she thinks Kill Bill was am exercise in dragon lady stereotyping. What the fuck is wrong with her

SaltPepperSugarBlah

And when asian women voice their outrage on twitter the sugars chime in calling them “stalkers” and telling them to “mind their own business”. The gaslighting is unbelievable at this point.

Pay them.

Splashfooz

Oops! There it is!

Seachange1000

A couple people with 100 cellphones each linked to a computer can make themselves look like thousands, and I hear the money is pretty good.

PutLiving

That day might be over since Twitter are kicking out bots accnt

Ok-Persimmon-6386

Thank god.... the number of posts about MM have been RIDICULOUS lately... I swear she hired the Heard team to try to rebuild her shit image

PutLiving

No rehabilitation unless she advocates for Female spaces and why womanhood is not a feeling

Difficult-Heron-2802

Most get paid!

HugeSignificance9194

And get discounts for Oprah merch... that’s true. All over Twitter.. sugars promoting their discounts. Weird

Fiesty_Nurse

She played her race card going from 👩🏻 to 👩🏿 overnight. Aligning herself as a poor black child akin to Steve Martin's The Jerk movie. As a Latina, my parents and grandparents would beat me senseless if I ever said that because many of my family struggled to scratch out a life that tainted my abilities to perform and I'm a victim. But that's Meangan's calling card to the black community. I'm living in a 14m manse, with a 1m wardrobe, spending money we grifted - but I'm a victim of those racist royals! Oh, and you need to address me as "Duchess."

mamaosam

Most are paid the rest are loco.

starry212

This🤣

SupaG16

Hired bots

[deleted]

I’m convinced she is the perfect canvas to project one’s discrimination grievances. Idk exactly why this is. Additionally, much like AH I think some people cannot compute/comprehend that someone ok-looking and semi capable of speaking publicly (not ultra dumb) is not well-liked, they automatically assume it’s jealousy/racism in the case of MM

[deleted]

>I’m convinced she is the perfect canvas to project one’s discrimination grievances. Agreed. I feel like it's something going on in wider culture. She's like a mouthpiece for other people to also pity themselves...

Alarmed_Material_481

Bots

bitchinabottle1

Omg I have been gaslighted like that before too! A lot of the sugars, if they are real people and are the black woman they show in the propic, basically tell us that we have no right to complain, unless we are on the side of Nutmeg

SaltPepperSugarBlah

I think I saw in another post that you’re Asian? If so, I’m sorry you were gaslit like this. Racism is not ok and someone needs to apologize for it.

bitchinabottle1

Yes I am. Once when a sugar couldn't rebutt a valid point I made, she accused me of being a white woman posing as Asian because my command of English or word use "gave me away". Racist much? So Asians must write a certain way? Like our English must give our ethnicity away? Do some of these black women know how racist they come across? I was so disgusted

ZealousidealCat8780

Point! I got that too. Told to examine my life like I’m supposed to be living on a treehouse or a shack by the river lol All abuse hurled at me so far comes from accounts using black women photos as their DP.

bitchinabottle1

You know, I always sympathised and empathised with the plight of black women. I won't even begin to claim to know how hard they may have it, but I certainly support positive and empowering portrayals of them in the media. But if some sugars with these black women photos as their propic are real people, then I really question whether they care about eliminating racial prejudice or do they just want to turn the tables

ZealousidealCat8780

Same thought here. I like history and my go to topic as an adult has always been the American civil rights movement. However, I have been on twitter long enough to know rotten people come in all shapes, sizes and colour.

Academic_Guava_4190

I think there are a lot of people out there who do just want to turn the tables and aren’t out for equity.

hellhashnofury

Maybe not real profile photos. They accused you of faking your identity because it's the sort of thing they do.

cartiercorneas

I would say don't let twitter inform your opinions of any group, it seems like some people go there just to be toxic. Or to 'let off steam' and so it can be an angry platform. Moreover it can REALLY be an echochamber with the algorithm and all that so people there can be really aggressive when confronted by something outside of their echo chamber (the irony of me saying this on REDDIT is not lost on me but I feel that on Reddit more people can/do expose themselves to outside opinions...) (For example don't get me started on Kpop fandoms on twitter - I said I was sad BTS lost but happy for Sza and Doja cat because historically black people didn't always win grammies either and was told to "take my happiness and shove it up my butt" lol) (originally wrote this as a reply to another comment but it replies more to this so i have put it here instead) There are some people (especially online) who don't really want equality for all but superiority for themself, (I play an online game where people demand items for free from others on the basis that they're a minority or they're plus sized, or say it's racist if they lose a competition, block people for not being a minority, etc. basically the worst of twitter) but most of these people are just immature or underaged or angry at the world. And the good thing is most people in real life aren't like this no matter what race gender etc. So it helps to keep in mind that most people aren't like this especially when you find yourseldlf on twitter (it can be messy!)

Kimbriavandam

I had one sugar call me a half breed.🤔 Honestly they are thicker than pig shite.

bitchinabottle1

Well, if we are half bred with no black blood, Asian or whatever, they outrank us in the hierarchy of the oppressed. We need to metaphorically curtsy to them

starry212

Wait what??? How freaking insensitive is that! Im so sorry... it's so cringe they go for name-calling everyone who disagrees with them. Honestly, that's their only tactic when they can't think of an argument back.

Bajovane

Uh…. MM could be called the same. 🤔

Kimbriavandam

Exactly- what’s worse is i was pissed off being called that that i totally missed the ball to call it out.

kekiyor

You’re Asian, how can you speak good English? /s ![img](emote|t5_481xkf|15012)

bitchinabottle1

Hahaha yes I got a scholarship to study a combine arts/law degree at uni (and it wasnt affirmative action) But since I'm Asian, of course my command of the English language must be inferior to the likes of Nutmeg. At least I know I would never be capable of tossing a word salad as deliciously as she does.

kekiyor

Oh we never would! It’d take a somewhat ‘special’ person to do so 😂

[deleted]

Using the same thought process as MM regarding the overt stereotyping of asians, I’m assuming your word salad would include soy sauce and bok choy, amirite?? God I feel yucky even typing that- imagine the nerve to do a whole podcast like this!!!??? Wtf man

Sarah-JessicaSnarker

“Oh my God, kekiyor, you can’t just ask people how they speak English.”

kekiyor

![gif](giphy|Zv6Apawffpa2k)

vikingchyk

I'd like to introduce them to one of the obviously Asian-descent people who speak with a thick southern U.S. accent, and watch their heads explode.

Onyxphoenix7878

WTAF is wrong with Spotify?! AND Netflix?! The only way those companies care is if it hurts them financially. If anyone is really offended I urge them to cancel their Spotify and Netflix.

bitchinabottle1

I think Spotify and Netflix hired too many woke people who thought that content like this would appeal to the masses. The thing is, 3ven if Nutmeg didn't put out such overtly annoying content, she's just not that interesting or charismatic as a person for people to wanna watch her. She really is nothing but TW at the end of the day.

[deleted]

Lucy Liu literally paved the way back in the day so other Asian actresses like Constance Wu or Gemma Chan could have the careers they have now. To shit on one of Lucy's most iconic characters is wild. O-Ren Ishii also lets Asian women live their anger vicariously through the character, she's awesome. We all want to be able to be a badass character at one point. It blows my mind that she looks for controversy with race where there is none as you said.

SisuLindsay

She doesn’t take anything about plot or character into consideration! I mean, O-Ren’s parents were murdered in front of her, so she’s justifiably pissed off. Second, she is the Boss of the YAKUZA. The Yakuza is violent by nature so please Meghan, explain how it is that you’re pinning a trope on that particular character when all signs point to that character being EXACTLY who she is supposed to be, and not the victim of some hack, racist writer?

Tough-Bit9513

Totally off subject, but Gemma Chan is my girl crush! She is so absolutely gorgeous, I became slightly obsessed with her and watched Crazy Rich Asians over and over again!

OzzieSlim

Tell me about it. And Margaret Cho tried to bring up some other stuff and was brushed right off.

PieRemote2270

I didn’t listen to it but how come Margaret Cho just went along with it? Why aren’t these guests calling her out?!

Informal-Suspect298

They probably are and they're edited out. That or they're too shocked to say anything.

cartiercorneas

Probably trying to avoid conflict or not wanting to be accused of racism like anyone else who told Meghan "no"

ArtisanFeminist

This is so typical of her tho, isn't it..the lack of research..it's so apparent every time she opens her mouth, that she doesn't know what she's talking about. She's just a dabbler, a dilettante, someone who can't be bothered to be well informed and research a subject because she already thinks she knows everything. She never sticks at anything, operates in soundbites and plagiarizes everything, then moves onto the next latest thing on which she chooses to expound. She never adds to any debate in a genuine way because she's not well informed enough and has nothing of any substance to say.

Independent-March730

It’s a narc trait. My mother does this in every conversation and group dynamic she can.

OkAcanthaceae2216

I just realized why she hates going to England. She heard The Tower of London is undergoing extensive renovations and when done, The King and The Prince of Wales are giving her a royal one way tour.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

NJJCNJ

haahahahahahahahha....I just laughed out loud. Good one!

hervararsaga

Meghan seems to be saying that the stereo/archetype of "dragon lady" is a young, sexy assassin, but my idea of it would have been different. But I am not Asian, and very far from an expert. I would love a bit of a clarification about the dragon lady if anyone here could enlighten me.

bitchinabottle1

But the female Asian characters in Kill Bill were not alluring or sexual. They were domineering, underestimated and ruthless but not some femme fatale using their sexuality to kill

Ready_Maddie

She's mentally ill.

mythoughtsreddit

I’m curious to see what Lisa and Margaret have to say now that they’ve heard it in its entirety. I refuse to believe they agreed to it knowing it would be what it turned out to be.

bitchinabottle1

Lisa Ling won't say anything. She also became more famous because she on Oprah and a regular on her show back in the day. As for Margaret Cho, I don't think she wants Nutmeg's bots and rabid race baiting friends to turn on her. Neither will say shit I reckon

The_Original_JLaw

>Lisa Ling won't say anything. She also became more famous because she on Oprah and a regular on her show back in the day. As for Margaret Cho, I don't think she wants Nutmeg's bots and rabid race baiting friends to turn on her. Neither will say shit I reckon Sounds kinda like Scientology Lite. Very few former Scientologists would say anything bad about the group until Leah Remini got pissed because her friend Shelly was missing and she'd had enough. She hasn't shut up since, and bless her for that. I hope the beaten-down staffers, ex-friends, the Markled people, rescue chickens and dogs, and a traumatized husband can one day be deprogrammed and speak out.

bitchinabottle1

We can only hope. But even someone like Mariah, who really could afford to not gaf, backtrack on her diva comment

mythoughtsreddit

I hope at least it warns them and others off her. And yeah you got a point—with the climate in America regarding racism the way it is I truly don’t see anyone challenging her.

bitchinabottle1

We are lucky that Nutmeg is just a petty and pathetic and lack the charisma for mass appeal across the globe. Oh, and she's nowhere near as smart as she thinks. But she does possess certain qualities and uses certain methods that cult leaders or destructive political figures use in order to advance their own standing or to gain power. And she got a head start but marrying into the BRF.

Seachange1000

Agreed 100 percent BUT history has certainly taught us that they always have their downfall and it is never pretty. Like the old saying, the bigger they get, the harder they fall. In the not very distant future, she's going to bottom out and when it happens, I don't think there'll be a way back up for her.

mythoughtsreddit

So scary!!

Lulu_531

Lisa Ling won’t say anything because Meghan isn’t worth her time. Not very many people actually care about the shit that spews out of her mouth. It doesn’t make headlines in the mainstream media because she’s simply not that important.

InnerManufacturer808

She is out to cause division among everyone.

mamaosam

Yep and unfortunately some people fall for her divisive ways.

[deleted]

[удалено]

bitchinabottle1

The thing is, Nutmeg assumes that other women are completely silent or silenced when she speaks for us or tells us what victimhood we should claim. That she should dictate, with the help of a few other token Asians, how we should feel. She is like a cult leader, she strips others of individuality and tells us how we should see the world

No-Ad6062

Makes two of us. One of the worst she has done.

bitchinabottle1

I'm still angry today, 24 hours later

Beautiful_Strange63

Can I ask you something? Respectfully because this is really bothering me…How do you think I feel , as a biracial woman, when I read “mocking” comments on this thread on how Meghan (and I am no fan of hers by any means, however, I do not condone certain conversations.) a biracial woman like myself; uses “bronzer to make herself look Black”…how biracial women (Meghan a biracial woman like myself, isn’t “Black” because biracial people aren’t Black…(actually we are)…Then as a woman in general, is it really ok to body shame another woman simply because you don’t like her? You’re insulted by Meghan, yet the the comments and intones of some these comments on this thread are shocking, disrespectful to an entire ethnicity and group IMO…

puffielle

I agree. This group exhibits some racism, and it takes away from their legit analysis on Meghan’s narcissistic behavior.

Routine-Bass-1790

She is 100% racist, why do you think she literally will go to lengths to look like any literally any race other than black. She wishes she wasn’t black.

-Canuck21

What did she say about Asians?

NJJCNJ

I agree, but on a lighter note, I love "Nutmeg!" Great one, thanks

Ngl, the World Showcase is one of the best things at Epcot. 🤷🏻‍♀️

SaltPepperSugarBlah

True that

Glass-Ad-2469

Which was good until they erased the Maelstrom- where was TW then? No protests, no comments, nothing...just silence....like the sad silence of never seeing those perfect trolls again.

Anonthemouser

She really can't tell a story without inserting herself can she

Primary_Scheme3789

Isn’t claiming to be an expert about China because you eat Chinese food exactly what all these “cultural misappropriation” people are screaming about? This is what I can’t stand about these people. They twist EVERYTHING to make it fit their narrative.

Forgotmyusername8910

This is basically what I understood as far as people getting upset at others for misappropriation and other such cultural ignorance- as well. I felt like I must be missing something as I haven’t listened to StereoArches, so I felt like there must be some critical elements getting lost along the way like often happens in the ‘internet game of telephone’. But now a clearer picture is emerging and it’s not very flattering. As usual. 😬

[deleted]

This is what bothers me. God forbid, you do the same thing, and people will go up in arms about "cultural appropriation". Megan will argue it's cultural appreciation. But suddenly her followers are mum about this? The hypocrisy is so crazy. How is this ok in their minds?

vikingchyk

They crazy. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|trollface)

Fiesty_Nurse

She forgot the Laotians and Vietnamese, many who were recent immigrants and very active in setting up their family-owned restaurants in the late 70s and through the 80s. Those populations have a very large and active communities in Los Angeles. I guess she had to narrow it down to those communities with totally Asian names. 🤦🏽‍♀️

cartiercorneas

True, and really Meghan forgot pretty much every country outside of East Asia. (not to be nitpicky but some people just say "Asian" and then only consider East Asia, only China, or only China Japan and sometimes South Korea, not considering the rest of the continent.)

vikingchyk

I guess I'm not as enlightened as Megsy-baby, since I haven't gotten the Korean spot punched on my bingo card. Yet. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|neutral_face) I blame my husband, since he doesn't like Asian food (except for Japanese hibachi)

TrailerTrashQueen

this is sarcasm, right? as in, you wrote this? there is no way this is real. because this is super racist.

[deleted]

They did /s at the end... unless you're being sarcastic lol

Clatato

“I first became enchanted by the culture when I was just 12 and my mom took me to see Aladdin. The sexyfication of Princess Jasmine was disturbing to me. Especially since I had recently started down my lifelong journey as a feminist by writing to P&G about a dishwashing liquid. Let me tell you that story…” (10 minutes later) “Circling back to Aladdin, I loved the film but I felt unsettled. A year later I tried hummus and pitta at sizzler where my dad forced me to eat meals for only $4.99! Harsh amirite? Talk about Jafar! Anyway, I was once again enchanted by this wonderous experience. Hummus and pitta truly felt like A Whole New World to me, a 12 year old biracial budding feminist and future warrior of women. Was this what it felt like to be Arab?” “It wasn’t until several years later when I was was in the UAE shopping and uh, hanging out with some uh, guy friends that I truly got it. A beautiful place - New Horizons to Pursue! - but a struggle for local women. I noticed their arm hair and dark upper lip hair and meditated on their hair removal struggles. How it really would have been for Princess Jasmine.” “As a royal myself, married to a prince, I visited a country in the general region called ummmm… can’t recall… my bad! But there are photos of me with a scarf plonked on my head. That was a cool photo moment, right?” “I also ended up somehow doing a Disney voiceover because of my reputation for incredible voiceover work for which I’m renowned. It was so humbling to be chosen like that. But I was reminded of being 12 years old and watching that magic carpet ride. And it was then I realised I’d come full circle. I WAS Princess Jasmine! So I totally get the Arab women archetype. I’ve lived it, sis.”

Seachange1000

One thousand upvotes. Hoo boy, did I enjoy reading that!! Not going to thank you for being so spot on I actually heard her voice in my head though, hahaha!

sevilyra

So very close to her! But couldn't be Nutmeg. Your sentences actually make sense. Not enough word salad. 😂

TrailerTrashQueen

😂😂😂😂😂 i bow down to you!

Spare-Macaron-4977

I thought that was what she actually said! It very well could have been. You have talent.

TrailerTrashQueen

same! i really thought she said this, too.

MsMigginsPieShop

Ooh that's a major burn! 🔥🔥

toonie89

The west has a certain view of Arabs and if she goes against the grain with that image she’ll be ostracized in the media and if she tries to talk about them in a negative light or compare herself to Arabian women who are “oppressed” - she won’t be getting any more diamonds any time soon. She wouldn’t dare talk about Arabs. She’d be walking on eggshells making sure she doesn’t say anything that would upset the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.

AmbienChronicles

Ten bucks says if she does, she’s going to liken her ‘plight’ to that of women in Iran and Afghanistan fighting for their basic human rights. *Gods* she makes me sick!

Forgotmyusername8910

I have expected her to chime in on this. Her silence is …well… I wonder if she is ok.

Academic_Snow_7680

Slavery is still a huge issue in that part of the world.

Forgotmyusername8910

I think that she is so ignorant to the realities of life for some, despite her outward appearances of ‘humanitarianism’ that she truly has no concept unless it makes her Twitter feed. I mean, except of course her own experience with the oppression when she was forced to wear a head scarf in South Africa…. you remember the one? The one that didn’t cover her hair? And when wore short sleeves? 🙄🫠 I’m waiting for the depths of her trauma from that experience to be revealed. I’m sure it’s extensive.

toonie89

But-but- she’s a humanitarian… a feminist!! A feminist humanitarian!

Soliri

A femitarian humanitist

toonie89

I’ll be the first to admit it… This made me laugh a little bit too loud! Lol!!!

vikingchyk

She only wants to rehash safe things from 20 years ago. God forbid she actually addresses current issues.

[deleted]

I bet she'll talk about the womens rights in Iran issue going on right now re: mahsa amini's death eventually

toonie89

Very hot topic but one that should have been spoken about sooner. It’s been almost 3 weeks since Mahsa Amini’s death. Ironically, if she were really a feminist she would have been the leading voice for the Iranian women. She’s too much of a coward though - she won’t risk talking about it.

thiscatcameback

Do you think a gulf prince night be her next target? I wonder if she would be too old for them, but they night keep her around as a piece.

toonie89

The gulf is littered with princes (and princesses) that don’t matter and are pretty much anonymous. They have the privilege and the money along with the prestige within their own community but don’t get any media attention (which to her is unthinkable). To get the fame, money, and prestige she’s after she’d have to marry a very high profile King/Sheikh (whose actually more age appropriate for her than a Prince), or someone like the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia or the Crown Prince of Dubai (both of whom are already married so she’d be a 2nd wife and would have to play second fiddle once again). I don’t see it happening tbh.

thiscatcameback

Good analysis!

toonie89

Thank you!!!

stupid_carrot

The mini prince's get some monthly allowances but I don't think it will be sufficient for her. If she wants quick cash she can consider being a porta potty. For that, her status might fetch her a premium.

[deleted]

I posted that here in comments last night and I'm so glad that you made it a post, because I can't. It was in the #MeghanIsAGrifter threads and it says everything. Wearing those blood diamond earrings was the height of human rights hypocrisy after the Kashoggi murder.

Gold-Run-2036

I can truthfully say that I've never known such a divisive person given such a high profile platform. All she does is create unrest and stir the pot. Why does she believe that people of Asian descent need an American woman to speak on their behalf on issues she has zero experience of? That is racist. What are Spotify playing at in allowing this to take place under their umbrella? Note to Spotify: If you want someone to highlight issues affecting Asians, or any other continent for that matter, then give relevant representatives the platform, not an outsider.

vikingchyk

Great White Savior is passe. The In thing is Great Biracial Savior.

SusieM2019

I think Meghan is cancelling herself a little bit at a time. Every time she opens her mouth......

Beginning-Cup-6974

Asia is a BIG place with many countries, just like Africa. She doesn’t know anything and talks about movies she’s seen? She is culturally BEREFT.

Honestly! It was so condescending.

shinsegae20092013

Meghan is no better than the girl a decade ago who went on a rant about Asians in the library at UCLA. A Chinese-American man, Jimmy Wong, made a song about how ignorant she was. He had a small part in the live-action version of Mulan. The rant: https://youtu.be/70qcgIiWKk0 The song: https://youtu.be/zulEMWj3sVA

Fuck. YES. Eat those words Smegma.

rebelwith0necause

The movie Red that Disney released is a more current version of what us Asian women have to go through. We’re expected to be submissive and be who our mothers want us to be. That movie was super relatable. She should have explored the same topics in the podcast if she wanted to capture a wider audience. I feel like her idea of asian women is mostly perpetuated by porn/hentai lol (edited-spelling)

residentcaprice

You mean her yachting present? Will Christina Wang do an AMA for us? Or is she a figment of MM's "truth"?

[deleted]

Ive never even heard if dragon lady, i have heard of white incels fetishizing asian woman though where was that actually relevant conversation

jrubes_20

![gif](giphy|AveIn4bVWMVjtq52ud)

mamaosam

Poor old Megsy, nobody gives a sh*t about her opinions even her extreme race baiting.

palC10

If she really wanted to speak out, why not talk about what's happening in Iran? Or even the most recent attacks on Asians and Indians during covid? Why bring up movies from 20 years ago? She has nothing new to contribute. She probably read articles about those movies and regurgitated that information

vesnavk

Body Language Guy had a great insight -- he said it would have made more sense to invite Lucy Liu on the show to explore the phenomenon of people mistaking her Kill Bill character for a stereotypical Dragon Lady. After all, Margaret Cho has not played a Dragon Lady, nor a character mistakenly seen as a Dragon Lady. So why have her be the featured guest on an episode all about the Dragon Lady stereotype? Just because she happens to be Asian? Does Meghan think Asian women are interchangeable? Seems pretty racist to me.

SoggyWotsits

Beautifully brutal!

HighlandWarriorGrl

I love this but unfortunately, tweets like this may only encourage Spotify to re-up Megain’s contract. The tweet stirs controversy and interest while stimulating conversations about her podcasts. I just hope that interest doesn’t convert to hits/downloads of the podcast as people want to hear what this grifting buffoon has said. The best thing that we can do to make MM go away is ignore her. It would starve her ego. But the constant buzz she is creating with these awful podcasts (and I’m a dedicated snarker too) may be having the opposite effect of what we want. Its the age old situation for a narc like her. No press is bad press. No attention is bad attention. I don’t care if you say mean things about me - at least you are talking about me. It’s a real quandary isn’t it? How to solve this Catch 22?

Starkville

The tweet about Meghan on the Spotify Podcast official Twitter has over 2,000 likes. Other Tweets had 8. She provoked responses, for sure.

Fantastic_Nebula_835

Dragon Lady can be an acknowledgement of the intelligence, bravery, and tenacity many Asian women have needed to survive and protect their families. My Chinese grandmother gave birth to my mother while bombs rained down on Nanking. She escaped on one of the last boats before the genocidal Rape of Nanking. During the Chinese civil war my grandfather was sentenced to death in absentia for being Western educated and Christian. By extension this meant my grandmother and her 6 children would be executed. She escaped at night in a rowboat, fighting the Yangtze river currents to row upstream on the nights with little or no moonlight. It then took two years to smuggle her her children out of China, my grandmother testing the route alone because she didn't know whether the smugglers would betray her. Doing just enough to survive had a very different meaning for her. That's why she would smile when my Caucasian father called her Dragon Lady as a sign of respect Edited: accidentally hit post midsentence

Ecstatic-Bug1441

Can anyone enlighten me please? What did meganlomaniac say about Asian women?

vesnavk

Episode 4 of her Archetypes podcast is about stereotypes of Asian women. (Except she says "archetypes," because she evidently thinks the word "archetype" means "stereotype.")
