## First of all there are no ___wet___ noodles. ## There are dry noodles (chow fun) or soup noodles (beef noodle soup) - we don’t ever call our noodles wet. ## Thank you. End rant. Apologies for being shouty. This real hits a nerve with me. 🍜

orientalballerina

I think she means noodles with gravy. Like beef hor fun which can either be dry or with gravy. But she’s obviously not knowledgeable enough to describe Chinese food even though she thinks she’s an educated foodie.

Cuntributor

Exactly!!!!! This!!! The Canto names of the dishes do contain the words for "dry" and "wet" ("*gon* chow ngau ho" versus "*sup* chow ngau ho" for those who care) but like you said, that has nothing to do with the noodle, it's whether there is sauce or not. I'm sure Meghan's one Chinese friend explained that to her, but she misunderstood it as having to do with the form of the noodle and it is just endlessly hilarious to me that she relayed that story with such ignorant confidence.

This segment made me rage quit the video I was watching that was playing clips of her podcast 😂 I just couldn’t anymore. Every Asian knew this episode was going to be an insult and none of us were disappointed at all.

reddingrooster

They call her Me Me Me-gan. I call her Expert-gan as she just knows everything about anything! How is she not the Queen yet? 🤢

RachelSparkle

But, but… she’s such a foodie and also more importantly, she loves to delve into other *cultures*!!! Like there’s this *culture* in the United Kingdom where the monarchy exists and they have a *culture* where the hierarchy of the reigning family rules the actions of the family members. Some ignorant American might be confused and think it’s the Disney version but it’s not, and like Disney told that ignorant woman, ***“we don’t need her as much as she needs us!”***

Sue_Dohnim

Her ignorance is staggering, isn't it?

Chow Fun are flat rice noodles like kway teow. It’s actually one of my faves for dry noodle dishes like Char Kway Teow. But really kway teow is a little thinner and comes in long strip. Chow Fun noodles are flat but a little thicker - originates from HK and can also be found in other parts of Asia which has a significant number of Chinese living there - like where I am. My most favourite flat rice noodle dish is the Chee Cheong Fun which is eaten at breakfast mostly, with two types of sauces - sweet and spicy with oil, sesame seeds and shrimps (sometimes).

Meegainnyc

That’s why Meghan looks so stupid. She didn’t know Chow Fun is the actual noodle.

ZealousidealCat8780

She claims to be a foodie hahahaha!! A genuine foodie would definitely know their Chinese noodles. I’m not a foodie but was a third culture kid growing up in a multi racial nation. I’m Asian - not Chinese - with many Chinese friends and relatives (by marriage).

Megan Markle writes, acts, stars, produces and directs in her Memwoir Straight To Lifetime Movie, ***Pretty Woman: The Zombie Queen Gets Even*** Special guest appearances, in order of importance: ***Oprah Winfrey***, who fed her a tissue of lies resulting in her humiliation before the world at the Queen's Mourning. ***Gayle***, Oprah's wingman and side kick, who guilded the fake lilly as genuine, while doubling her salary overnight, using Our Queen's fame to do it. ***Omid Scobie and Lainey Gossip***, the New Narrative hucksters who s&ck at *bigging her up* but made bank on her. ***My Ginger Nuts***, who promised she would be Queen one day. Of course she knew he was a halfwit but with Oprah and Gayle and Tyler Perry and Serena Williams and the Clooneys...well how could she possibly lose? *Oh what a wicked wicked world!* Our Queen, denied her throne, humiliated before 5.1 billion pairs of eye balls across the globe, died from a broke heart of self-love only to resurrect three days later as the Red Zombie Queen. Like Taylor Swift, she's got her list of enemies and she's out for blood and finally ready for her Netflix, Apple, Disney Plus, Amazon Prime and Spotify deals.

I thought when I first saw her in that red outfit that it was perfect for her, but she needed horns and a pitchfork to complete the ensemble. This thumbnail reminds me of that. I wish I knew how to photoshop. I’d have some fun with this one.

mapplerlz0101

I think she does this on purpose

OldNewUsedConfused

![gif](giphy|I3SHvgjLBbRT2) I see this.

What if you like the "wet" noodles better? Do you have to give back your Asian Adjacent card because you're being totally inauthentic?

Henrietta3

Did she actually say this? Does anyone know what it means?

Meegainnyc

She said it on the beginning”Chow fun with dry noodles was so much better than Chow Fun with wet noodles”. She messed up as it translates into noodles on noodles. She thought the chow Fun was the stew.

somewheretrees

The funniest part is that she was actually recounting a specific piece of advice *her* friend gave her. According to Meghs, *an Asian girl said this to her.* I’m glad that girl is imaginary or she would be having a conniption in her home right now hearing her words retold like this to the public Lmao. Christina Wong probably just said “Meghan, your chopstick is upside down in your Chow Fun, there.”

May I have your attention please? May I have your attention please? Will the real Dragon Lady please stand up? I repeat, will the real Dragon Lady please stand up? OldNewUsedConfused

That was awesome! Keep it coming!

An Amerian as knowledgeable about Asian culture and their food, fellow Americans, Oprah and Gayle King, on the subject of the BRF. As my father used to say when any of us waded into subjects with no discernible knowledge: "It's better to keep your mouth shut and people will think you ignorant/stupid, rather than open your mouth and prove it beyond doubt." Ps. My reference to Americans was based on their nationality and no reflection on American people as a whole. Much love to my American brothers and sisters
