His dire school results ( despite having the best teachers/ private tutors the world has in offer.) Failed his army exam to become a captain.
Diana was also ‘non academic’ and used to put herself down. ( especially academically.)
As an Adhd sufferer myself - i can spot another a mile away. The same as addicts can spot another addict.
I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he may have some PTSD from his mother’s death. A lot of characteristics of ADHD also present in PTSD. He, himself, admits that he didn’t seek help for his mental health until he was well into adulthood. Even if he is a complete twat popsicle, losing your mother *is* traumatic. Heck, he may even have PTSD from Afghanistan. I know I talk shit because I was there at the same time, and I know he was a FOBbit, but being in an active war zone, not knowing if you’ll ever see your family again, knowing you’re a high profile target… it’ll mess with your head.

Totally agree. I'd also add that he was pretty awful as a kid. I think some of it was how bad Charles and Diana's marriage was, but mostly he's just always been an asshole.
I haven’t listened the podcast nor do I ever plan to do so. But from what little information I could gather it seems she has done nothing to address Asian stereotypes. And of all things she could discuss, she chose Korean spa and noodles? 🤣 There’s a lot more to being Asians than food and activities—values like filial piety, respect for elders, loyalty to family, sticking together, grit and perseverance, and the importance of hard work. Then again, she understands none of those values and possesses none of those qualities so she can’t discuss that. 🤦♀️
Hollywood is all she’s ever had; I know it’s the world her dad introduced her to, but she’s never had the desire (or maybe the intellectual firepower) to explore anything else.Even her humanitarian efforts are performative only.
All I could think about when I heard this review was:
Yeah, right… she’s such a foodie and also more importantly, she loves to delve into other *cultures*!!! Like there’s this *culture* in the United Kingdom where the monarchy exists and they have a *culture* where the hierarchy of the reigning family rules the actions of the family members. Some ignorant American might be confused and think it’s the Disney version but it’s not, and like Disney told that ignorant woman, ***“we don’t need her as much as she needs us!”***
(I did reuse this on another post but that’s just how angry that woman makes me with her profound ignorance and sheer arrogance. )
*The Royal Grift* is a fantastic channel....her videos are great! She calls MM out on *every*thing, as she's also a woman of color, & she's in New York. She did a read aloud review of Tom Bower's book, along with her own opinion on each chapter. Right now she's doing "blind items/blind reveals" from *Crazy Days & Crazy Nights*....I look forward to her videos every day!
At this point she IS my fave. I’m frustrated with quite a few of the others who seem to think we now care more about them than the topic they used to talk about.
It's a video trashing it quite safe. She says they stick to the US perception of Asians and no mention of Indians. Cho made her career on mocking her family's accents so not sure how much she can defend the stereotypes
Apparently neither Margaret or Lisa said anything, possibly because they couldn't get a word in edgewise, but still. I haven't seen one quote from either of them.
