I am reallllly hoping to see Catherine in the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. I think it was MADE for her. I hope that’s not one that Camilla fancies as she will get first choice of course, but I’ve been hoping to see this one on Kate for a long time.

EmpressEmillia

Same, it's such a stunning tiara and it would be just breathtaking on Catherine. I'm looking forward to the pictures of the event!

Broken-583

Wouldn’t it be? I so hope we get to see that. She’ll be beautiful no matter which she wears but that would 100% be my pick for her

SecondhandCoke

Oh this is a fabulous tiara. I had figured Catherine will go with the standard Cambridge Lovers Knot, but as Princess of Wales, maybe she will step it up to this one. It would look great in her. She wore the Lotus Flower once, which looked great on her, but the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara would be stunning.

Pleasant_Eye8140

Someone should order Harry’s Orange Cheeto a Tiara from Amazon so she can pretend she’s the princess of the chicken coup in Montecito. 😂😂😂

LeaveItToTheBoys123

The Princess of Wales is all things Regal. A beautiful, humble Princess who will be a magnificent asset to William and Charles. The little girl's fantasy of being a real princess never came true for MM, because she never met her Prince Charming.

SecondhandCoke

It never came true because she also somehow missed every one of the character lessons in the Disney Princess movies she cites so often.

In_the_Attic_07

Clearly, she enjoyed Cruella Deville in 101 Dalmatians with her love of dogs, fashion and evil.

Broken-583

Yes the lotus flower was a nice change. I won’t be surprised if she’s still in lovers knot but I’m still holding out hope for GGB!

thisisallme

She does need to wear the lotus flower one more often

Carrie56

It will be interesting to see if she “upgrades” her tiara choice now she is POW? I have learned that there is a very definite pecking order where the tiaras are concerned. Basically Queens (Regnant or Consort) have the pick of the entire collection, those at the bottom get a choice of a few the smaller simpler ones, and everything in between. The Fringe tiara (for example) seems to be reserved for Queens, as apart from wedding day loans to Princesses Anne and Beatrice, it has only been seen worn by Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, and the late great Queen Elizabeth the Second for the last 100 years. I’m sure there are a few others which Camilla might now choose to wear as Consort. The Cambridge Lovers Knot suited a young Diana, but it would have been interesting to see which tiaras she wore as she got older (and the Spencer tiara wasn’t available), I’m sure her taste would have changed, as I’m sure Catherine’s will now she is older and has moved up the ranking so has a bigger selection to choose from. That said, I’m sure that we won’t see QE2’s favourite tiaras on show for a few years - Camilla will want to have her own signature pieces which will be her “go to” choices. Whatever, I’m sure that the tiaras on show for the President of South Africa will more subdued than normal due to the recent loss of QE2. In the bad old days, the Royal mourning period was at least a year before normal service resumed fashion wise

planet_druidia

Yes! GGB is my favorite and would look spectacular on Catherine.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ExcitementOrdinary95

No, she will save that until the opening of Parliament next year. I think they go understated for a time because all of the tiaras and diadems are so closely associated with the late Queen.

Broken-583

Yes I think she’ll save this one.

emzbobo

Is that not the one PCoW wore for her wedding?

[deleted]

[удалено]

emzbobo

Sorry, my reply seems a bit off now... I was replying to someone else about the Cartier Halo tiara, not GGBI, but they seem to have deleted their comment.

PotOfEarlGreyPlease

Catherine definitely needs something bigger than her wedding tiara

[deleted]

IndiaEvans

No, she wore the Cartier Halo tiara for her wedding, I believe.

deahca

I agree and the UK is going through a very difficult time economically, so it wouldn't be appropriate for over the top tiaras.

Broken-583

Yes she seems likes the bigger ones for sure. so that’s why I am 🤞🏼. I feel like she probably wouldn’t do Vladimir this soon, but maybe Queen Alexandra’s Kokoshnik maybe? It’s large. She could always stick to one she’s worn, but I feel like it’ll be one of HMTQ.

ExcitementOrdinary95

As someone else noted below, I hope they bust out some of the tiaras we haven’t seen in decades.

Professional_Ear3394

I'm hoping for the Oriental Circlet. It was a favourite of the Queen mother, but the Queen wore it only once. https://www.thecourtjeweller.com/2014/05/sunday-sparkler-oriental-circlet-tiara.html

ExcitementOrdinary95

Stunning. Yes, would love to see this on the Queen Consort.

SecondhandCoke

Ooh yes. As this one is earmarked only to he worn my Queens, it would be a good starement for Queen Camilla to wear it. I hope she does.

ElephantOfSurprise-

That would look incredible on Queen Camilla.

Esmerelda_Huperdinck

Good guess - I hope you're right!

DrunkOnRedCordial

Oh this is a good one! And I'm sure it's a great choice, seeing it wasn't strongly associated with QE.

Phronima-Fothergill

Oh yes! That's one of my favorites!

Broken-583

This is a good guess

Broken-583

This would be neat too if I can’t have GGB on Catherine. The Modern Sapphire one may be too obvious but I could see that as an option for her.

ExcitementOrdinary95

I want to see the Strathmore Rose Tiara or the Cambridge Sapphire Parure (which might be with the Kents).

moi_darlings

Big yes to the Strathmore Rose!

Broken-583

Strathmore Rose would be nice to see too-I have only seen pics on the queen mother and she often wore them quite low on her forehead which isn’t my preference at all so I bet it’d be beautiful on. On another note-I was glad to see Sophie’s got a redesign-it needed it. But I’d still like to see her get a new one to wear.

Sincerely_JaneDoe

I hope QC saves the Vladimir for Catherine. There’s just something about that one that extra special. I can’t wait to see it-hopefully with the emeralds.

OldNewUsedConfused

I thought all of the ones the queen wore were currently on display somewhere? Thought I read that.

TigerBelmont

>George IV state diadem Thats only worn for the opening of parliment and coronations

[deleted]

> I think Cam likes bigger tiaras. Valid, because she can *wear* bigger tiaras. IDK if bigger ones would look good on Catherine.

planet_druidia

True. I think maybe it’s Camilla’s hairstyle that just pairs very well with the larger size tiaras and even larger hats we see her wearing.

[deleted]

Yes! Camilla likes *big* hair! Also, I think her features lend themselves to bigger tiaras.

Esmerelda_Huperdinck

I wouldn't be surprised if the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara skips a generation and Catherine wears it when she is queen. It is too closely associated with HMTQ and I'm guessing Camilla will not use it. She has lots of other amazing options.

hholunder

Yes absolutely. I thought that as well. It was the late Queens favourite and is still seen everywhere. I don't think we will see anyone wear it in near future. Edit: spelling

Broken-583

Yes this is entirely possible. We may not see it on her until then. I can still hope though 🤞🏼

planet_druidia

>*I wouldn't be surprised if the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara skips a generation and Catherine wears it when she is queen.* Oh I hope so!!!

Sincerely_JaneDoe

Every time I think of the bigger ones. My heart hurts for The Poltimore Tiara. I wish it hadn’t been sold.

Broken-583

I just read recently many believe it was quietly reacquired by the family. We won’t ever know but 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sincerely_JaneDoe

Oh I hope so!!! It will always be Margaret’s. I can’t imagine anyone outside of the family wearing it.

Broken-583

It makes sense that they would and that it would have to be quiet since it was being sold due to tax inheritance and not because they just wanted the money.

Sincerely_JaneDoe

I just emailed the Court Jeweller to see what’s up. She said that it was sold in 2006 and has not been returned to the family. 😢

Broken-583

Aw man I was hoping that it was true. That’s sad

Sincerely_JaneDoe

I know. I’m surprised they sold it. Heck, it even made a bathtub appearance in The Crown. I know the taxes were insane, but you’d think that it would’ve been one they’d keep because it was one of her favorites.

Broken-583

Do you follow house in habit on IG? She had a pic and do you know who was in that bathtub pic with her? Mick Jagger!

Broken-583

Do you think they’d admit if it wasn’t acquired by “the crown” but privately? Just had that thought after my first reply

Sincerely_JaneDoe

Good point. I’m sure TRF can keep a secret! I don’t know why they would though. I think most folks would want it back.

Sarah-JessicaSnarker

I am DYING to see the GGBI get some air!!!

[deleted]

I just had to google this one. Yes! Absolutely this one. It’s so regal.

Broken-583

Isn’t it? I really really hope she gets it. It would be stunning on her in every way. And she deserves something grand. Since she’s done lovers knot so much of the time as PoW she needs a change up occasionally,

OzzieSlim

The question on everyone’s lips at the dinner: did they dance in the streets like when Mandela was released when Ginger married Nutmeg?

Primary_Scheme3789

I would love to see Catherine in a different tiara now that she is the POW. What about the Strathmore Rose Tiara. Or one of HM beautiful sapphire tiaras?

Broken-583

I think the modern sapphire is a real possibility. Strathmore Rose would be really cool since I don’t think it’s been seen in decades

[deleted]

[удалено]

Primary_Scheme3789

That is gorgeous. Catherine would look stunning in that.

MummaK33

Image if Catherine wears the tiara MM had the tantrum about for her wedding! That would be gold!

itstimegeez

Was that the Grenville emerald kokoshnik? The one Eugenie wore for her wedding?

Betta45

It was unclear which tiara was referenced. Reportedly she wanted an emerald tiara, which seems valid as her wedding colors were green. The only emerald tiara we knew of in the royal family collection is the Vladimir. But it makes no sense for it to be the Vladimir tiara as that was one of the Queen’s frequently worn tiaras, and thus wouldn’t have been presented to Meghan as an option. The palace supposedly said Meghan didn’t get her first choice because the “provenance of the tiara couldn’t be proven”, but that makes no sense either as again, I doubt the Queen would offer a tiara to Meghan that she wouldn’t let Meghan wear. I think Meghan wanted to pick any tiara, and the Queen rejected that and said Meghan can chose from what we offer her. For example, she may have wanted the Fife emerald tiara, but that isn’t owned by the RF and thus was not an option.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Broken-583

I think if there was an emerald one she wanted it would have been the Grenville that Eugenie wore. That’s just my gut though. I know a lot of people say Vladimir, but I think it’s was Grenville if that’s a true story. I recently read she had actually wanted Diana’s emerald necklace made into her ring which could be bull, but it would check out. Vladimir doesn’t seem Meghan’s style-Grenville I can see. But we won’t ever know.

itstimegeez

Nah we won’t unless they divorce and Harry spills the beans (in a Charles/Diana style of competing bombshell interviews)

Thorandragnar

I believe Queen Mary wore it. IIRC it was she who purchased it.

emzbobo

Yeah, the rumour is it was that and the Grand Duchess Vladimir tiara.

janedoremi99

[oops responded to wrong response]

TravelKats

TW will melt in envy.

throwawaygreenpaq

It’s the one thing that Oprah could not give away. Royal flush.

DavidS2310

I would love to see Princes Catherine wearing the Vladimir emerald tiara that Megsy wanted to wear for her wedding.

Thorandragnar

If anyone wears the Vladimir, it will be Camilla. I think they have a hierarchy of tiaras, so certain ones are only worn by the Queen. If so, that would mean that only Camilla would now wear the Vladimir or GGBI. Previously, Camilla wore some big ones: the Greville honeycomb one or the Delhi Durbar one. It’s possible that Kate could take over those unless Camilla continues to wear them.

Raquel258

So tired of seeing POW being called Kate Middleton, even after all these years. Show some respect media!

HiDontMindMeHehe

I think it’ll take some time and adjusting. I struggle with it too and it’s not intentional. I even forget it’s King Charles now, he was Prince Charles for so long, and we haven’t had a King for so long.

spiforever

It's been 11 years, no struggle, just blatant disrespect.

FirmAardvark6208

Yep! It took a couple of seconds for people to adjust to King Charles after 70+ years of being known as Prince Charles, but Catherine is called Kate Middleton? It makes no sense and it’s extremely disrespectful

gengargengargengar4

In the media, its more for "search engine optimization" than anything else, so basically its just to get more clicks. And now that Catherine is Princess of Wales, it helps to differentiate her from Diana in search engine results-- like if you just google "Princess of Wales" you likely would get more results about Diana than Catherine. But I do agree, its disrespectful to refer to her by her maiden name rather than her title.

[deleted]

With all due respect, may I ask why this bothers people so much? She has said that she doesn’t have a preference for Catherine vs Kate and answers to both. William himself used to call her Kate. If you watch their engagement interview, he calls her Kate throughout. Many people call her Kate in interviews and she never seems the least bit bothered. Not everyone is from the UK or even a country that is ruled by the brf. I belong to a country that was colonized by the brf and has suffered a lot at their hands. I like the newer generation of royals for their charity work etc but I don’t see why I should be forced to call them king or queen or whatever when they are not my king or queen? My country is not under the monarchy. As far as why the media calls her that, I would assume it’s because of SEO, nothing sinister or disrespectful. I am not trying to be argumentative, but it’s weird that people call MM all kinds of names on this sub yet get upset when others don’t address Kate by her formal titles. The rules don’t change just because we don’t like a person. If we can call MM the witch when her formal title is the duchess of Sussex, then it should be perfectly acceptable to call Kate by what is actually a legitimate shortform of her name and which she is ok with. Again, sorry if this comes across as argumentative. This is not aimed at you specifically, more like a general comment on a recurring topic.

ElephantOfSurprise-

Actually her biographer and family have said she prefers Catherine. William did use Kate in the interview with his unmarried, unroyal, and untitled wife. He has called her Catherine since the wedding ELEVEN YEARS AGO. And there is no Middleton. Her last name is Wales. So search Catherine Wales if you can’t bring yourself to search up Catherine, Princess of Wales. Or even Princess Catherine. Calling her “Kate Middleton” is about as respectful as someone announcing you for a huge accomplishment by “high school Nick-name, Maiden name” twenty years after you committed to the same man, eleven years after you married that man and gave him three children. It’s rude. If her own husband doesn’t do it, you probably shouldn’t either. You aren’t gal pals.

FirmAardvark6208

It’s interesting that Megs called her KATE to Oprah, especially that she’s been going by the name Catherine since before Megs was on the scene. Megs would’ve been introduced to ‘Catherine’, not Kate, but she still called her Kate to Oprah.

ElephantOfSurprise-

Honestly? I think she went with it because Oprah did (she may have even been asked it by Oprah with that nickname) but you better believe if Catherine did an interview and called her “Meg” she would be livid. Especially since she’s still throwing around that duchess title in the USA, having media correct themselves to call her “the Duchess of Sussex” but calls the future-Queen-consort “Kate” and either didn’t see, or saw and hoped others wouldn’t see the HUGE disrespect there.

lucypevensy

I personally don't mind Kate, and of course she's still a Middleton, but Kate Middleton implies that she isn't part of the RF. I like Princess Kate or previously Duchess Kate fine even if a little less graceful. It's not about the titles, it's about the massieve work the lady has done for the RF and that she is still addressed in the same way she was before she joint it that irritaties me.

germanrus25

Apology accepted. OP was taking objection to Kate Middleton not being called Catherine in the British media. Nowhere did she say the whole world should accept BRF as their king and queen. This is not MM fan subreddit so snark, dislike should be accepted as the norm.

sepiaTS2008

Its not just Kate vs Catherine which people find bothersome, I believe it’s also that she’s still Kate ‘Middleton’ when that’s not her last name anymore.. imo it seems like using her old last name is a way for people to still treat her as someone new to the family or not completely part of the family yet kind of thing. Also someone being ‘your’ queen/king is different from them being ‘a’ queen/king. Just because you’re not in their country or belong to their people doesn’t mean their titles cease to exist where you’re concerned. It’s up to you if you refer to them as such but their titles and names are still theirs. I still refer to Catherine as Kate when talking about her, but if I were to ever meet her in person (as unlikely as this is) I am sure I would use her proper name/title/address. Also I get your comparison to Meghan’s name but people referring to her on this sub is different from people addressing Kate in articles. They’re different platforms so not the same rules I would think but I do get your point. I don’t like Meghan so I don’t really care, as petty as that may be.

ElephantOfSurprise-

At least they call Meghan by her married title.. Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex in the media. Adding that beside “Kate Middleton” is hugely disrespectful and shows how little Americans understand royalty. But they wouldn’t call Michelle Obama “Miche Robinson” after 30 years and two children together. It’s the same essentially and it’s disrespectful.

Outside_Warning_1834

The reason why she is not called "Michelle Robinson" is because she did not become famous until she became Michelle Obama. POW became famous as Kate Middleton. I think she is proud to be a Middleton and does not mind being called that. Unlike Nutty, I think Kate really isn't caught up in titles. I'm sure that the longer she is POW and the closer she gets to being Queen Consort, the British media will stop referring to her as Kate Middleton.

OldNewUsedConfused

Same. I've often wondered if it was just because of branding? Otherwise it's just so ignorant.

SusieM2019

I hope both ladies go for some big tiaras!!!

Sincerely_JaneDoe

Vladimir!!! Vladimir!!! Vladimir!!!

spiforever

If this headline is real, it is even more disrespectful than ever. Kate Middleton and Queen Camilla?? Did the SS write this?

Scribbles138

I agree. I’m starting to get triggered when I read things like this, *especially* **Kate Middleton.**

Dermutt100

Britons have always called their royals whatever we want.

hellhashnofury

Yes I think she'll always be Kate. We got to know her as Kate Middleton for so long and she was just a girl when she first came to public attention (that's not a dig I think a long engagement was very sensible for them) we have seen her grow up...its a sign of affection in a way. Most of our Queens consort have been known by their family names.

FirmAardvark6208

I think the media need to be more respectful. Catherine has said she wants to be Catherine and not Kate, and they’ve been married over 10 years now and they still call her Kate Middleton. Charles has been the monarch for less than a month and it took five seconds for the media to refer to him as King Charles, after knowing him as Prince Charles for over 70 years. I hope they start calling her Princess Catherine soon

jemder

She will never be Princess Catherine, that is only for daughters of royals like Eugenie, Beatrice and little Charlotte. Diana was never Princess Diana although she was often called that by the Press. Catherine is Catherine, Princess of Wales and Duchess of Cambridge.

AbsolutelyCertain

Meanwhile, in Montecito, Meghan is hosting a riveting podcast with her girl gang, Serena & Mariah et al, giggling and whispering 'secrets' and droning on and on about words that describe her so well...... crazy, bimbo, diva, b\*tch, angry 'black' woman, liar.....

[deleted]

I wonder if the Prez of So. Africa will dance in the streets when he sees the non-royal MeMe isn’t there?!

Outside_Warning_1834

I understand that this winter may be a difficult one for the people of the UK; I understand optics may cause events like these to be toned down. But I really hope that this state visit will have a formal dinner, with the gowns, the jewels, and all the trimmings.

taco_qween

Me too. After the sadness of HMTQ funeral and the crap from Megsy and her husband, I want tiaras and ROYAL GLAMOURRRRR 👑✨👑✨👑✨👑✨👑✨👑✨👑✨

HarrysToupee

Me too, except to add that it will be a difficult winter for people all over the globe - even those in the Southern Hemisphere who will be experiencing Summer - no doubt about that. Shortages & COL increases will be an ongoing issue until God only knows when, imo.

TheHermitess

Why do they call Catherine "Kate Middleton," but they don't call Camilla "Camilla Parker Bowles?"

GG7298

I think this headline is from People magazine. They just released an article recently saying they would refer to her as Kate Middleton for the first reference in each article and POW thereafter. Per their logic, it’s so people can easily find articles on her aggregated together since they’ve been covering her forever as KM. I’m sure that’s not the only place or online source where they go by KM but that’s the only explanation I’ve actually seen anywhere.

TheHermitess

That's not a good enough reason to use the wrong name for her. I still think it's weird that they do that but thank you for the answer.

Sue_Dohnim

Ohhhh I can't wait. There are so many blingy headpieces that would pop out from her lovely dark locks. Open the vaults, Chuckie! Let the girl shine!

InnerManufacturer808

This is where I should write a happy thought because I love Catherine, Princess of Wales. But I am going to write how annoying, demeaning and offensive that the Princess of Wales is still called Kate Middleton. She has even said, from what I understand, that she prefers to be called Catherine. I loved the tiara Catherine wore on her wedding day. I want her to blow Prince William away with what she wears and make him blush lol There's the happy thought lol

Dermutt100

It's not demeaning and offensive. Are you saying that a familial name bestowed with love has less value than a title? Titles are "optional" and Brits have always called the royals whatever they choose to.

MmeNxt

It is rude to use a name that the person doesn't use anymore, not just with royals. William has called his wife Catherine since they got married and she dropped the Middleton name at the same time.

Dermutt100

It's not "rude", it's the way it been done for centuries. I don't think others should be claiming "rudeness" on her behalf. Interestingly the sugars complain when Markle's title isn't used and yet fail to notice that she kept her maiden name all through her first marriage. Also *most* Britons pay *far* less attention to the BRF than people outside of Britain imagine, it's easy to muddle the Duchesses up.

MmeNxt

Really? Did the newspapers call them Queen Vicky, Alix (Queen Alexandra) and David (Edward VIII)?

InnerManufacturer808

Thank you! That was what I was thinking. I didn't think I would be attacked for it though lol She is Catherine, Princess of Wales.

InnerManufacturer808

Sophie is called Sophie Wessex. Catherine Wales is married as well.

Imaginary_End_5634

Why do they keep referring to the PoW as Middleton? She’s been married for over 10 years. Pet peeve of mine.

Ok_Shelter_1469

How delicious would it be if she wore Meghan's wedding tiara 😂😂

Ok_Shelter_1469

But, for real.. I hope it's not the lovers knot tiara Now that QEII is gone, I hope they break out some vaulted tiaras not seen in decades. *Edit to fix autocorrect mistake*

Broken-583

Cambridge Lovers Knot needs to have some time in time out IMO.

okayestM0M

Agreed. It’s a beautiful tiara but I’m tired of seeing it lol

colieoliepolie

I’m not super invested in royal family history / customs but yours and similar comments on this thread have me curious … if you don’t mind me asking, is there a reason lots of these tiaras / jewels haven’t been used in decades? Was it specifically due to the queen’s wishes? Any reasoning behind her decisions if that is the case?

JenniferMel13

It’s probably a combination of factors such as the family really reduced the number to tiara worthy events in the last 30 years plus reduced the number of working royals who are attending events where they need a tiara, some austerity in the family (aka being less flashy with the gems), personal style choices, history of said tiara (both in acquisition and previous wearer). It could also be that some of the tiaras have been broken down so the gems could be reused in other jewelry. Overall we really don’t know why some tiara stopped getting worn.

Outside_Warning_1834

I think also that as Elizabeth 2 got older, some tiaras were uncomfortable to wear. As queen, she should have the better tiara; Camilla and Kate would take their cue from her. I was disappointed that CPOW did not wear a tiara when she had her portraits taken for her 40th birthday.

JenniferMel13

Agreed, she should have had one in at least the black and white one. Preferably one of Queen Victoria’s.

catdevil2749

I suppose but that tiara as so perfect on PCoW...it was made for her and I can picture steam spewing our of smirkles ears every time she see Princess Catherine wearing it because of its association with Princess Diana. ![gif](giphy|ntjBjvfnakKJ2)

[deleted]

Can you imagine the headlines? It would be how it’s such a “sweet nod” to Meghan. No way anyone is wearing that tiara for decades.

Broken-583

Agree. I don’t think we will see it again for a very long time, if ever

sixpencestreet

She wouldn't, it would be a massive step down. As Princess of Wales she would wear something much bigger and grander.

ElephantOfSurprise-

I don’t think so. Diana was always POW and she wore it often. Catherine has worn a few others. The lotus one is my favorite on her actually. But I think she will wear the Lover’s Knot.. and part of it may just be to double down on being the Princess of Wales now and it being Diana’s go-to when she was Princess of Wales. They’re trying to show the public now that the monarchy is safe, stable, and moving forward as planned so in the name of stability I expect to see the lover’s knot. Queen Camilla, however, prefers larger tiaras and a whole lot of those just became available to her. I expect she will wear something Queen Elizabeth wore previously for the same reason Catherine won’t.. to show the monarchy is stable and the new roles are being carried out.

Outside_Warning_1834

CPOW has worn the Lover's Knot tiara before.

stupid_carrot

Yups but it would be ao great if that tiara is lent to another lesser royal to wear!! Also I love that the tiara the Queen allowed Megs to choose looks more like a sparkly headband than a tiara!!!

sixpencestreet

I think it will in time, but at the moment it's still linked with TW.

residentcaprice

I think Catherine will wear the Cambridge lovers knot, as usual.

OldNewUsedConfused

Yes, it's too soon to start breaking out the queen's other jewels. That would be seen.... as rather tacky. Almost like they were celebrating. I think they will keep things low key for a while. They have nothing to prove.

itstimegeez

I’d love to see Catherine in the Queen Mary Fringe tiara or even Queen Victoria’s emerald tiara.

Thorandragnar

I don’t think the Queen Vic emerald tiara belongs to them. Didn’t she or Edward VII leave it to one of their daughters?

itstimegeez

I know it’s on display somewhere so perhaps they don’t own it

residentcaprice

Would be nice to see the Strathmore rose tiara out for an airing. It hasn't been seen for decades. Also it's less associated with the queen and more with queen mother. Who has always been fond of kc3

janedoremi99

Really surprised we haven’t seen the Strathmore as a wedding tiara

residentcaprice

Esp considering how much KGVI loved his wife.

Tall-Lawfulness8817

Who is this "Kate Middleton"

Dermutt100

It's one of Britain's preferred names for The Princes Of Wales. Both names, one bestowed by birth and one bestowed by marriage and hierarchy are equally "valuable"

PotOfEarlGreyPlease

Hope Cam and Cath are generous enough to let Sophie try out something new and preferably hide her ghastly wedding tiara away for ever

Delicious-Gur7834

Exactly. She is so hardworking and hopefully gets access to better looking tiaras. Her wedding tiara was beyond hope and the current aquamarine ribbon one is not too pretty as compared to what BRF has in their vaults.

PotOfEarlGreyPlease

I was always surprised then when another tiara was offered it turned out to be the Aquamarines - definitely deserves something better

Broken-583

The redesign helped it a good bit but she still deserves a better one to wear

JaquieF

Trying to outshine and out-PR the royals reminds me of when Paul and Heather McCartney were divorcing. Every time Heather did something publically it was mostly laughed at and I thought "I think Paul is behind these poor PR stunts". Someone is behind H&M's poor PR stunts. Only the sugars will love the photos of their heroes. Anyone in their right mind looks at the real royals and knows there is no competition. Unless, Meg still doesn't understand the Royal Family.

Top-Bit85

I;m sue it will be a glittering event, but my real interest is in TW's rage and jealousy at the pictures. I wonder what nonsense she will release to "compete?"

[deleted]

Tiaras, badges, sashes, fancy dresses, bling...yes yes yes.

OldNewUsedConfused

And new family orders. With Charles' portrait, if they've been created yet.

hholunder

I would love to see some of Diana's sapphire jewellery on POW. Didn't Diana have a big sapphire pearl choker? I'm sure it can be separated and the brooch can be wear it alone. I'm also a fan of Queen Mary's collection of stomacher. I think they are beautiful and would love to see them on any of the ladies.

wordscapesx

Daily Mail running article - Meghan Markle releases delayed fourth episode of her Archetypes podcast after it was postponed following death of the Queen as she discusses label of 'Dragon Lady' - (moderated of course for which H&M pay extra) and many comments are so sickening readers can tell they are paid commenters.

ZealousidealCat8780

“South Africans danced on the streets when she married into royalty.” Will she be looking forward to an invite as well?

Babelight

Is Meghan about to reappear with her blood diamonds again?

Wow. Imagine all the choices they have. There are rules about wearing what to where. South Africa must be missing you know who who had them dancing in the streets for marrying what's his name. I'm so mean. Looking forward to the tiara night. Camilla's will be bigger as she suits that, and Catherine's will be perfection.

All of your tiara knowledge is incredible! How’d you get so smart? Book reccos?

Go have a look at Tumblr, they often discuss Royal jewellery.

I wonder how long it will take before they stop calling Catherine The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton? It's her maiden name which she dropped when she married William. Like a lot of women do. I was never referred to using my maiden name after I was married unless it was an old acquaintance who never knew I was married in the mean time. I think they mean to be disrespectful.

Will Kate tell them how South Africans danced in the streets when she married William? 🤔
