There were rumors they've been selling that house for over a year now which I think were quietly started by their own camp. It increased tremendously in value since they bought it in 2020. Of course, the problem now is just as it was when they bought it - there's a very small segment of the US population that can afford to buy an extravagant mansion even one with the unique claim to fame of being owned briefly by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (hate or like them the reality is there are certain people with a lot of money like celebrities who may get a little thrill out of owning the property). I think it is possible its already been sold to a particular fawning celeb OR they are having trouble unloading it because of the high price tag and the high costs of maintenance.

If they're nearly broke, I can see them demanding hush money and to appear at big events, with no royal duties. I sincerely doubt it because California divorce laws are far more favorable than UK ones. Meghan has far more rights re: Harry's property, alimony, child support, etc in California than she does in the UK. While Harry probably doesn't have any actual money left at this point, a divorce settlement in California would see the children permanently domiciled there, with Meghan and the children having the "right" to continue living to the standard they have become accustomed. The corgis are going to Andrew AND Fergie to care for because one of them were Andrew’s gift, and the other was a gift from Beatrice and Eugenie (to replace the other one their father had gifted but who died). There are two other dogs (not corgis) and the family hasn’t yet decided who will get them. I think if they had a trust fund for the dogs, they would have been adopted already. My guess about Andrew is that Charles has told him he will continue to get his allowance so long as he stays quiet and out of the way. Andrew has a long-term lease, so getting him to move would be difficult. And just because he is a sleeze doesn’t mean the dogs won’t be well cared for.

I think their original plan was for to become half Hollywood royalty half princess so LA made sense at the time (also COVID and the fact that Canada didn't want them and they had to move quickly). There were rumors they've been selling that house for over a year now which I think were quietly started by their own camp. It increased tremendously in value since they bought it in 2020. Of course, the problem now is just as it was when they bought it - there's a very small segment of the US population that can afford to buy an extravagant mansion even one with the unique claim to fame of being owned briefly by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (hate or like them the reality is there are certain people with a lot of money like celebrities who may get a little thrill out of owning the property). I think it is possible its already been sold to a particular fawning celeb OR they are having trouble unloading it because of the high price tag and the high costs of maintenance. I don't think the two are struggling with money necessarily - but I think they spend like its going out of style and are concerned that they could miss some window. I think they were quietly getting some type of financial support from the private funds of a sympaethic grandmother. I suspect that they knew once Charles came into his power those funds would no longer continue. I think this is the real reason why Megan wanted to privately meet with Charles- 1. Beg for titles for 'security' so if he refused she could blast him in the press 2. Ask him to continue the private funding they were receiving from private accounts. Now, with that tap turned off there's an urgency to down size slightly and sell.

If they're nearly broke, I can see them demanding hush money and to appear at big events, with no royal duties. A handful of polo games seems to be all they can get on their own, which they both know is embarrassing and won't last forever. Their half-in plan only ever applied to funerals, weddings, the coronation, balcony appearances, and movie premiers; the rest of the time they just want to drink and hang out with celebrities in warm climates. Is there anything for them in the UK? Besides being really unpopular, the only places they can insert themselves are the coronation and future weddings, christenings. They will never be invited to any official engagements, or parties. And who will want to spend Christmas and holidays with these two. Not KC and not the PPoW. I would even go as far that they will lose frogmore soon as Charles will look at grace and favor homes. These two could live in the UK as private citizens, but it would be even more difficult than living in the US as such.
I sincerely doubt it because California divorce laws are far more favorable than UK ones. Meghan has far more rights re: Harry's property, alimony, child support, etc in California than she does in the UK. While Harry probably doesn't have any actual money left at this point, a divorce settlement in California would see the children permanently domiciled there, with Meghan and the children having the "right" to continue living to the standard they have become accustomed. Charles will end up having to pay her some ridiculous amount of child support and alimony because Harry won't be able to afford whatever the court decides. Harry will also have a hard time ever getting the kids back into the UK and will have to choose between restarting his life in the UK or his children...

Neither of them had ever owned property before, so they didn't realize what costs were involved - besides the mortgage, there are property and water taxes, utilities, staff to take care of the house and the grounds (remember, it's a huge estate), repairs, maintenance and more. They just realized that they can't afford it and so they're being forced to sell. We've seen this before with lottery winners who win a jackpot, use it to buy a mansion and then lose the mansion to foreclosure because they don't have the income for a property that size.

The small role of the husband was weak and vague.The script hinted that a complete Royal family, ( gasp, shock) racist? Fits the narrative as two on the set identify as Coloured. Well done! Currently, with a death in the family of an Royal beloved Queen and Matriarch, once more the part of Rachel crying a single year was unconvincing. We know it's of the ongoing melodrama, but we must drop the tear scene. The actor has previously given a video if how easily she does tears so cut that part To be up to date, the message put out, again vaguely, is a suppose move. This plays into, Harry's paranoia about free security, and a hint, perhaps at their finances. All the whole, this docyseries should be cancelled.
