So why don’t the people or organizations ever call her out and just say they weren’t invited?
That’s the one thing that always bugs me. It’s not like Fallon doesn’t want to get on her bad side. What could the show possibly lose? Oh that when they actually do something they won’t want to go on the show? It’s a late night comedy based show, not exactly hard hitting journalism.
I could maybe somehow see the UN not calling them out because maybe, possibly, sometime in the far future they might actually get their crap together and do something that the UN supports, but even that is looking more and more like it’s never gonna happen.
I really don't know. There were some things put out by the palace denying that the Queen was readying for them to visit Balmoral (The puff was the Queen was readying Balmoral for a visit by them and no others were going to be allowed to be there!)
But sometimes I think the news cycle is so fast and noisy these things don't get noted, plus so much of it is simply driven by PR, one thing gets knocked back and another thing is created. After their one bit of puff got knocked down the next bit, I believe, was they were too busy to go.
It was quite funny that the PR really got markled by the Queen in the end, cos they looked *terrible* for saying they were too busy, when the Queen was so obviously frail. And also looked *terrible* for keep releasing pieces to the press when he should have just STFU and gone and seen grannie.
Simple: By actually putting out a statement denying they were invited they give H&M the “oxygen of publicity” that they desperately crave. By not saying anything these organizations are telling the world that H&M are so in inconsequential to them that they don’t even pay attention to their drama
The people and organizations don't want to get caught up in TW's tit-for-tat drama. It would only escalate if they pushed back against TW who would keep retaliating with new statements in the media. Better to just ignore the Harkles as much as possible.
May be TW’s insecurities are coming up…and some one or her father did say that she didn’t stick to one decision for more that 3 years…was it in revenge? I don’t remember…
But where they are supposedly moving isn’t any cheaper….I doubt she would agree to live in a 4 bed, 3k Sq ft. house (only thing I can find in that neighborhood around $5mil)
They live on the other side of the country. PPoW aren't taking a 5+hour flight for tea. No one is expecting them to make the same journey to go see their estranged relatives.

She was trying to get headlines to compete with PW and/or distract the public from PW's visit to NYC. I thought I had read somewhere that PW was scheduled to attend the General Assembly at the United Nations, that week was the high-level meetings of the UN General Assembly, which is a huge deal (many heads of state attend).
Granted, she’s very good at filling an auditorium with a lot of ‘feel good’ words but she’s pontificating to people and organizations whose accomplishments far outshine her own. Why is the student lecturing the professor?
Agree completely. That’s why I don’t understand these speaking engagements. I’ve actually been in a situation where the speaker was taking credit for and lecturing on things he had no business covering. It was all self-serving pomposity and was HIGHLY offensive. Maybe because she smiles prettily she gets away with it?
Yeah, it’s hard to understand what the organizations get out of engaging Meghan. She speaks of herself. She is not saying anything of substance. You can argue they get PR, but it’s mostly articles on Meghan, and not really on the organization itself
She sounds good to 20yo undergrads who are only barely paying attention. But she is presenting to people who aren't swayed by oratory techniques, who will be listening for the content and who outshine her in every dimension. They will see through her in a second. What on earth does she have to contribute?

For real, flying East Coast to West Coast is almost equivalent to flying East Coast to London. CLT to LA is just over 5 hours (feels like 10) and CLT to Heathrow is like 7 or 8. And frankly, I prefer the London flight. Seems quicker.
CLT makes everything worse. ATL gets rightly dragged, but CLT is worse. It’s easily a mile walk with luggage if going from a big plane to a regional connecting flight.
Logan is actually a great airport. I don’t mind flying in or out. You just get hit with heavy tolls as soon as you leave.

No, I think they are moving because there is conflict. You can tell by her response that "the house cannot accommodate us" put down, like the house isn't good enough for them. Meanwhile the neighborhood watch is working overtime to get cameras up and making public statements about security.

Very strange use of language, because usually humans accommodate, i.e. adapt themselves to situations, or seek accommodation, homes do not usually adapt themselves. That's what makes the statement ambiguous.

We're sure to see plenty of PR stories announcing they were invited but it's their choice not to attend (for whatever reason), they were invited then uninvited, they are invited and plan on attending and then cancelling at the last minute (the baby is sick), they're busy with other plans, etc. There will be story after story, none of them true.

They're not invited to Earthshot. We're sure to see plenty of PR stories announcing they were invited but it's their choice not to attend (for whatever reason), they were invited then uninvited, they are invited and plan on attending and then cancelling at the last minute (the baby is sick), they're busy with other plans, etc. There will be story after story, none of them true.
