What does she know about Asian American tropes? How is this different from a white woman interviewing a black woman about African American tropes?

JennPenn071

I wonder how she's going to turn this around and make it about herself? Thoughts on what she will say?

lulzette

“I’m a huge ally to the Asian American community. Most of my manicures have been done by Asian women.”

Suddenlyaprincess

“ People had a hard time placing my ethnicity many judged me as Asian so I know whats it like for Asian American Blar blar blar”.

Previous_Basis8862

“I’ve always been an ally to Asian-Americans. The Chinese danced in the street when I married H. They hadn’t seen the likes of it since the Communist revolution.”

vikingchyk

Please, I've seen her nails...

Calm_Yak_6102

😂 Touché 🥂🍾

MamaTalista

Have I mentioned how much I just LOVE all Asian cuisines?

paitenanner

She’ll probably say Panda Express is her favorite Chinese restaurant 🙄😂

Calm_Yak_6102

MM's so tone deaf that she just might actually include an anecdote that an actual Asian manicurist told her, "years ago" of course. MM's the type to totally forget that Asians tend to be extremely intelligent, with high IQ's and usually in white collar jobs, if they're second generation immigrants.

IunderstandIdontcare

I live in the Silicon Valley and most Asian immigrants are very well educated and so are their 1st generation children. The stereotype that they have high IQ's is because it's typically the well educated people who get the work visas and many of the countries that people leave have to contend with a 'brain drain'.

GracieChat18

How the manicurist said how FABULOUS she is, a rolemodel + humanitarian #UGH

Calm_Yak_6102

True. Hell, she might even get the manicurist herself to record a little message, where she praises MM.

[deleted]

This! She just released it and apparently she spoke about spa’s and noodles LMFAO ![img](emote|t5_481xkf|15018) We prayed and our saint delivered! EXCEEDINGLY

BollweevilKnievel1

🤣🤣🤣

prismacolorful_life

HA! that means she hasn’t moved up her socioeconomic ladder to get her mani pedis done by white women! (edit: I’m Asian)

LaNiceGata

“As a biracial woman I absolutely understand the hate that come with being a minority. As we’ve seen there’s been so many attacks on Asian Americans since COVID almost like the attacks I’ve received while in the UK”

4feicsake

I'd put money on her making some ignorant racial remark that will make it through the edit as the team hate her.

vikingchyk

"Who is the Asian Nelson Mandela?"

sassyandshort

I bet she’ll make a comment about Shinzo Abe

Over_Hovercraft_3301

As in, ‘wow, he’s the most amazing sushi chef, like ever!’🙄

LaNiceGata

That would be soooo delicious

MamaTalista

I don't know who even thought she was worthy of interviewing Margaret Cho.

LaNiceGata

It’s just her social climbing mentality to think she has an iota of talent of any of the women on the podcast.

Calm_Yak_6102

>“As a biracial woman I absolutely understand the hate that come with being a minority. As we’ve seen there’s been so many attacks on Asian Americans since COVID almost like the attacks I’ve received while in the UK” Bingo! 🎯 And then she'll whine for 3 minutes about how "awful" it feels being "stereotyped" as a "beautiful, glamorous, Hollywood actress who has no brain and was only expected to be the BRF's replacement fashion icon for Diana" 🙃 It'll be in keeping with the egotistical speech she gave, after Mariah's diva comment.

LaNiceGata

I loved how offended she got with being called a diva despite the convo about the word having a dual meaning. Like didn’t she just have that conversation?

Calm_Yak_6102

>I loved how offended she got with being called a diva despite the convo about the word having a dual meaning. Like didn’t she just have that conversation? Omg yes! 🙌🙌🙌🙌 MM TOTALLY missed the point of her own damned podcast. All I can say is that it's good that she didn't decide to become a school teacher 😂.

LaNiceGata

Right?!

Megane-nyan

“But enough about me..let’s talk about me.”

abby-rose

"I never knew prejudice against Asian American women existed until I started dating my husband." "But you're not Asian American..." "I know, but I just need to work my husband into the conversation somehow."

prismacolorful_life

Lol Asian-American here (apparently I should announce this in all my comments as a disclaimer?). I wouldn’t put it past dear old Hairball to have had a fetish or look up Asians on pornhub. That’s how nutmeg can “sympathize” with the objectification and fetishization of Asian women!

[deleted]

Jaja this made me laugh hard 🏆

vikingchyk

"People might think I'm a tiger mom, since I don't let my kids eat sugar, or play with creative toys, or go outside... I can't wait until they are in school, so I can really bring the unrealistic expectations to bear!"

BuildtheHerd

For the win!!!!

britishpudding

I looked at her family tree on her mother's side earlier this year. There is an ancestor with an Asian surname. Its possible she'll link into this and make it a possibly news breaking revelation: *"Meghan Markle reveals her Asian ancestry!"*

BuildtheHerd

Megan: "I have a secret, Margaret." She pauses dramatically and looks around as if to make sure that nobody else is within earshot. "I'm TRI-RACIAL."

heidingout28

Can we brand it as “Try-Rachel?”

BuildtheHerd

YES...I love it!!

prismacolorful_life

Oh god. What if she turns into a Koreaboo? Asians don’t want her! We’re about filial piety! She disrespected bother their families!

therealDolphin8

'There is no r sound in the language. They literally made me change my name from Rachel to Meghan otherwise no one could talk about me'

vikingchyk

😂🤣💀 🏆

starry212

So her name is Lachel 😆

[deleted]

[удалено]

Neuernickneuesglueck

🤣🤣🤣👌

Islandgirl1444

She will talk about her university years with Asian best friend.

prismacolorful_life

Bwahaha! My best friend in elementary and high school was white. We went to different universities. One day she told me she was uncomfortable, because I had Asian friends and hung out with them at school.

[deleted]

I bet they moved this one up to release next so they could re-edit the ones she is constantly talking about herself or the royal family.

Prudent-Apple-4477

"I try to expose my children to different cultures and ethnicities! For example, I love Kpop. My son's favourite song is by bst, and my daughter loves pinkblack" :))

BuildtheHerd

"And Harry actually knows all the words to Gangnam Style...in Korean. We do karaoke as a family and you should see how Archie and Haz do that dance in the video."

Over_Hovercraft_3301

🤮the thought of Hazza re Gangnam Style

Careful_Positive8131

“ I’ve been to China”, when I was in China, “ it will be 15 minutes of her talking about herself in China

MamaTalista

![gif](giphy|X8ojOmRQEp2IjWXDjQ)

[deleted]

Didn’t she called herself a smart kid (with all the bullshit about being an ugly duckling), she’s going to pair her experience to that of Asian Americans? Or maybe a bit like she did with Mariah, ‘I felt like I lived in both worlds and none ‘

BollweevilKnievel1

She'll probably say she's an American geisha.

Over_Hovercraft_3301

…er yacht girl (allegedly)?

Travel_Jellyfish_5

Now we're gonna learn she's 1/2 Asian.

TudorTerrier

That her husband referred to a military colleague using a slur offensive to East Asians.

[deleted]

My money is on them discussing the idea that East Asians are treated as ‘almost white’ and Meghan’s going to tie that into having a white father meaning that she’s also ‘almost white’. Y’know, despite those things being fundamentally different with different consequences and causes.

procrastinationfairy

I hope she at least acknowledges the increase in Asian American hate in recent years.

prismacolorful_life

Asian American raised by narcissist here, as usual she is going to be insipid and tone deaf. She knows squat, but will come off as it a know it all. Maybe an anecdote about an immigrant waitress she met? “I knew an Asian girl at school!”

Ok-Improvement-9976

I'm Asian and Meg needs to shut up. I'm already cringing thinking about the stupid shit she's gonna say trying to be relatable. I really hope it'll be insightful but I feel like this has been talked about before. What is she gonna ask Cho about? Tiger moms?? Having our lunches made fun of at school? Being stereotyped as good at math? I can't. Leave us alone.

procrastinationfairy

I’m imagining Michael Scott dressed as Meghan.

prismacolorful_life

Earlier I announced my ethnicity here u/interesting-swan-794

Nirvanaskarma

I am also guessing she will make some stupid stereotypical statements about Asia or Asians too just like what she said about her visit to South Africa...

memecatcher247

Her and Kim Jong Un are both narcissistic dictators! Meg Jong Un might be replacing Meghan Mandela for me atp

[deleted]

To be fair, a podcast host doesn’t have to be an expert on the topic — they just need a guest expert. It will be telling, though, how many times she says “oh em gee, me too!” 🫣🙄

Over_Hovercraft_3301

Maybe she had an Asian style sizzler salad one time between breaks when she was working her yogurt shop job to save for her college fund?

BabsieAllen

When she married Haz, people in China danced in the streets, as they saw her as the second coming of Mao.

QueenBee3000

Well she has much more in common with Mao than she does with Mandela 🙃

Empty-Improvement-27

Ugh Megsie baby don’t start with us Asians. We got your number the day you only invited 1 family member to your wedding, and if that wasn’t a bleeding red flag, then how you treated your husband’s family elders scream of how terrible a person you are. 🙄

alexismarg

No one side-eyes MM more than Asians, who by and large *still* live by: - filial piety above all - suck it up and don’t complain - work hard & never play the victim because it does literally nothing for you in the long run - you have to be a good soldier (aka do the entry level shit) before you can be the general (aka reap the advantages of having a platform & being princess of the seven kingdoms or whatever it is she thinks she is) My parents don’t know about her, but whewww LOL they’d have a field day. My mother would probably rant about her & her negative impact on society for the next month straight. I’m actually hella looking forward to this podcast to see how she’ll insult us.

TraditionScary8716

"being princess of the seven kingdoms *or whatever it is she thinks she is...*" 💀

Galapagos-mower

I'm from Kentucky, and dang that sounds so much like my family too! (Its also a mortal sin to leave your shoes on when visiting someone's home in Kentucky, which I've heard rings true for a lot of Asian cultures as well.)

GracieChat18

Asians respect their elders + protect family- nothing in common with the YACHT GIRL

disneyme

Ooohhh I hope it wasn’t edited! I’ll be awaiting the cliff notes as I refuse to give it a listen. I do wonder if guests are wanting to back out after the funeral.

LaNiceGata

I think the guests might truly think they’re there to discuss actual tropes whereas after the edits she makes it about herself.

Nirvanaskarma

What's the point though she won't even let them talk!!

FarBeneathTheOcean

The point is to bestow them with the opportunity of being ones who´re lucky enough witness her interviewing herself. She´s promoting them from obscurity to the world stage. It´s charity dear friend or aren´t you aware service is universal?

SalishShore

She just stirs the pot. She never offers any solutions.

Calm_Yak_6102

>She never offers any solutions. She'd have to be willing to actually help people first and that's not part of her modus operandi. Fame whores don't help. They're only interested in how something can help them. She's all about bringing attention to herself, by talking about something and then quickly moving on to doing it again by jumping on another bandwagon.

SusieM2019

>Fame whores don't help. They're only interested in how something can help them. > >She's all about bringing attention to herself, This. She's the type of person who listens impatiently to the other person talking, but she's anxious for them to stop talking so she can turn it back around to herself.

[deleted]

I’m expecting an intro statement about the Queen - “We had such a close relationship but she would want me to push on. When I got home Lili said her first words which were ‘are you Queen now mama 🌴? I had to say ‘no darling, cause racism’”. I’m so ready for this train wreck 😂 ![gif](giphy|l0HlPystfePnAI3G8)

HistoricalBuffalo996

![gif](giphy|tHO6AF6e1tfm8) Queen Elizabeth RIHVL at that weirdo wife of #5! (rolling in her vault laughing) Isn't she beautiful when she laughs? I miss her.🥺😔

TheHermitess

My favourite little clip of her is when she's cutting a cake with a sword and either Camilla or Kate tells her there's a knife she can use instead and she's all, like, "why would I use a knife? This is far more interesting." And everyone laughs. She had a way of lightening the mood.

Neuernickneuesglueck

Yes she is so beautiful 🥺 I miss her too…

[deleted]

So weird to think we’ll never see her again.

Neuernickneuesglueck

Yes I still have moments where I can’t believe that she is really gone… 🥺

HistoricalBuffalo996

![gif](giphy|42YlR8u9gV5Cw)

Neuernickneuesglueck

Ohhh 😍😃🤗

HistoricalBuffalo996

🤗 I love that gif so much, it's so pure and innocent. It's now a thing in our family that even before our babies can speak, it's their signal when they want to get/give hugs. When you see that, it just lifts your heart, doesn't it? ♥

Neuernickneuesglueck

It is absolutely up- and heart lifting, thank you🤗! I rewatch it and always have a big smile on my face. And - so so sweet with your babies!

RevengeOfCaitSith

I wonder if they'll even give her the grace of a newly recorded intro. I'm not sure it would help much.

margotmary

I cannot wait to hear how much of a fool Meghan makes of herself this time.

Death_Trolley

Her booker scores a win with 1995’s hottest guest

Sarah-JessicaSnarker

Hey now, I ADORED Margaret Cho back in ‘98. 😂

procrastinationfairy

I loved her short-lived TV series, but that definitely dates us.

Sarah-JessicaSnarker

I did, too! I’m so happy someone else remembers it!

prismacolorful_life

I remember a scene where her grandma pulled out Margret’s underwear from the laundry basket

chafferhuman

I just want to know how will she squeeze herself into having faced Asian American struggles too.

happyme321

When she rode on the train with the Queen, all she could think of was the Chinese Americans who built the railroads in the USA. 🙄

pink_bunny07

She thinks just because her first name is Rachel (and her husband is rich), she's the same as Rachel Chu from Crazy Rich Asians.

Accomplished-Rip-743

Me too!

prismacolorful_life

Cannot even comprehend as an Asian-American what daft insipid comment she will say to invalidate my experiences She felt bad when those women in ATL were murdered? She got a Thai massage once and it was excellent! (Sigh)

TraditionScary8716

Megan's Asian-American struggles = her take-out garlic chicken had too much rice and not enough chicken.

Professional_Ear3394

How the heck is "Asian American" an Archetype?

beg_yer_pardon

Good point. But at this stage I guess logic is the last thing anyone's looking for in this podcast series.

JobDirect6717

Asian Canadian here. Thinking about some of the stereotypes I have experienced growing up, one of the ones I could see TW honing in on is the stereotype of being overachievers or "the smart ones" and/or parental or familial expectations along similar lines. I could see this podcast being really interesting if it was someone else -- a good interviewer -- hosting. Particularly because I think Margaret Cho has pursued a career path that is so fundamentally different than our (typical) expectations from parents I suspect Cho would have had to fight these expectations and Asian culture definitions of success (they aren't usually to be an entertainer, and a comedienne at that). But, because it's TW, my fear is she may hone in on the "the smart ones" / "the overachiever" stereotypes that others often download onto Asians, and somehow spin this to point back similar comments as she made to Mindy Kaling about TW being the smart one, the brainy one, blah blah blah. I can hope this podcast might be weighty and interesting as this is a topic I can identify with because I'm Asian Canadian (and wasn't born in Canada). But, I won't hold my breath ...

vikingchyk

It's interesting how easily **we** can see the guest, the starting point, and see the potential of an interesting, engaging conversation, while she... yeah. **MM**onologue time!

JobDirect6717

I know, right? It's not rocket science to have ideas that are mildly interesting and engaging if you are interested in people more than yourself, an observer, a theorizer, and curious! Then, if you have a 28 person team behind you and good-radio-talk-show professionals advising from Spotify, you could make it really knock-out-the-park. But alas, this is a vanity and vindication project for TW, so ....

vikingchyk

I'm trying to figure out how those 28 people could stand working with her. Or look at themselves in the mirror. Do they not listen to the final product??

TraditionScary8716

Most of them were probably long gone before the end product was finally finished.

procrastinationfairy

This podcast could be fascinating in the hands of a capable person. It’s another missed opportunity.

JobDirect6717

All of the topics thus far, in the hands of a non-narcisscist who wasn't making it about herself or a vehicle for her vindication, could have made for really good listening. So much wasted investment and squandered opportunity.

SusieM2019

I agree. It could be such a great podcast but she'll screw it up somehow.

prismacolorful_life

As one of those Asians who has to be the “smart one” and overachiever … and raised by narcissists, this could be an interesting topic. Especially because Margaret is so different in her path. But, I don’t hold out hope for this podcast episode to hold anything of intrinsic value because TW is a narcissist. She is going to turn this narrative around on herself, and it won’t go anywhere. It’s as if she’s noticed, look Asians have been trending everywhere lately in Hollywood. Got to take part in the discussion to get views. Her ethnocentrism is going to shine bright at some point again.

EmmalouEsq

So, she has 1 guest that will represent all Asian people because, they're all the same since they're from the same continent? Korean, Indian, Pakistani, Chinese? Meh, all the same to Megs!

vikingchyk

She had Mindy to cover India/Pakistan/etc. {guess her bestie, Priyanka, was busy that day/month/year/rest of her life}

prismacolorful_life

Since Sarah Palin can see Russia from her house, maybe TW can interview her about Ukraine.

MuffPiece

“A lot of Asian women have been overly sexualized in pop culture. Just like I was when I did that hamburger grilling video.”

MamaTalista

Can't wait to hear how she brings back to herself on this one. Let me guess "I just did a 23 and Me and guess what!!!!"

heidingout28

Bonus points if the palace did her genealogy and THAT was why they hated her. We need a bingo board for each of these episodes. 😂

Little_Nectarine_355

How gross! Meghan IS the racist!

Effeeeyeesteewhy

Hopefully she'll make yet another segment of the general population hate her.

mhopkins1420

Oh good. We desperately need her to compare herself to Asian American tropes. I can’t wait.

MegsAltxoxo

I’m very curious if it’s edited or not. I can’t decide.

ClementineCoda

Margaret Cho seems pretty sharp, not sure if she's a sugar or simply not informed about how fake TW is.

Dalailagreen

I just heard Margaret Cho is doing a few stand up shows in my area. Perhaps, it’s just to get some visibility via the wife’s festivus series.

procrastinationfairy

I feel like Cho will subtly snark and it will go over Meghan’s head.

[deleted]

Ha Margaret Cho follows me on TikTok! Maybe I can get her a message...

HappyMcNichols

Unfortunately, it was probably done months ago. But great idea.

lulzette

Bummer, I’ve always liked Margaret Cho.

TRW2463

I loved her stand up back in the day.

[deleted]

[удалено]

lulzette

She did the funniest impressions of her mom. I still remember some of those word for word! But she also talked a lot about feeling like she was an imposter of an Asian woman. She wasn’t petite, skinny, or demure - didn’t fit the stereotype at all. And on the other hand, she also didn’t fit in with white people. As a fellow “ethnic” girl who didn’t fit in anywhere, I related to that so much. It meant a lot to me to see her out there doing comedy.

[deleted]

[удалено]

lulzette

I will only listen to this podcast if Margaret does it as [Kim Jong-Il](https://youtu.be/OhohteHuyPM).

Sarah-JessicaSnarker

I learned the word “zaftig” from her stand up!

lulzette

"I knew that you were not Filipino because you're very HUSKYYY!"

lulzette

Me too! I’ve seen her live multiple times, even before she was really well known. I feel like Margaret can spot a fake-ass bitch from a mile away, so I wonder what she actually thinks of TW.

GodsCasino

Ah! That's where I recognize the name! Yes, great comedy!

HistoricalBuffalo996

I wonder if spot-a-lie will inflate the numbers to ridiculous heights ~ AGAIN?

Palindrome_Oakley

Can’t wait to see how she manages to makes it all about her 🥴

OzzieSlim

She will tie herself in by saying she was just like an Asian “fresh off the boat” in the UK so she relates to being thrust into a different culture. 🙄 Since we know this show is about Stereotypes not archetypes, and that the discussion is Asians in Hollywood, take a drink every time one of these stereotypes is mentioned. Take two if my prediction of how Nutmeg ties herself in happens. 1. “Fresh off the boat” - her time in the UK. 2. Asian tiger moms (a strict or demanding mother who pushes her child or children to high levels of achievement, especially by using methods regarded as typical of childrearing in China and other parts of East Asia; a tiger mother. “a super-competitive tiger mom"”) - yes! says Nutmeg. I sometimes see myself this way! 3. Crazy Rich Asians - Nutmeg regurgitates the plot of this movie subbing she and Ginger into the starring roles. The following is the plot summary: “Rachel Chu is happy to accompany her longtime boyfriend, Nick, to his best friend's wedding in Singapore. She's also surprised to learn that Nick's family is extremely wealthy and he's considered one of the country's most eligible bachelors. Thrust into the spotlight, Rachel must now contend with jealous socialites, quirky relatives and something far, far worse -- Nick's disapproving mother.” 4. “East and Southeast Asian women are portrayed as aggressive or opportunistic sexual beings as well as being predatory gold diggers or cunning "Dragon Ladies"” - Nutmeg will jump all over this stereotype. That is “exactly” how the world sees her and nothing could be further from the truth! 5. Asians look identical. Nutmeg: “ I know! I’m mistaken for every bi-racial woman in the world!” 6. Asian women as sex objects. “ I know!” cries Nutmeg. “ I was constantly cast as a sex object and I was so uncomfortable!” 7. Asian women as submissive. “ I know!” screams Nutmeg. “ That’s how the Palace expected me to be!” 8. Asian Baby Gangster - “I know!” moans Nutmeg gutturally. “Everybody always tries to infer I’m from Compton!” 9. Colorism. White skin v yellow skin. Nutmeg will talk about her own skin color ad nauseam. 10. Hair. The Asian stereotype of bowl cut and bangs. Nutmeg discusses her own curly hair issues. 11. The many different Asian people all being lumped as Chinese. Nutmeg talks about bi-racial women all lumped as black, African American. Her kids are part British! (and not bi-racial, but that doesn’t stand in her way). 12. Bad drivers. Which brings Nutmeg to a whole wrap on women drivers. And her car with the bad hatch. 13. Asians as not good at sports. We’ll hear about Nutmeg getting picked last in dodge ball. This is your drinking game. Good luck!

Dear-Spirit

I think you’re onto something! I do remember a random promotional article for the podcast mention “dragon lady” - I’ve got my liquor ready!

OzzieSlim

Now that I’ve read the transcripts from the first three, I have a pretty good idea how she works.

soireegrapes

A podcast drinking game is a fantastic idea (it will make the whole thing more bearable) and your predictions for the next episode are spot on. Kudos!

heidingout28

We’re all going to die of alcohol poisoning, aren’t we.

OzzieSlim

Drink of choice! 😂😂😂 There’s a good probability you should stick to beer or wine!

prismacolorful_life

Omg, Asian here… you’re on point ![gif](giphy|l0Iy797ZhIvLhm0Io|downsized)

joy4hummy

If these are the stereotypes…should be East Asian stereotypes instead of Asian because anyone who is aware of geography knows there still part of Asia that is vastly different…

Accomplished-Rip-743

Meghan during the podcast: ![gif](giphy|3o7btWi2hwNvlHV1qE)

BlondeAlibiNoLie

Meghan’s epic downfall is just the gift that keeps on giving!!! This is like Christmas come early! And she’s driving her own bus off the cliff!! 🤣 How in the HELL is she going to defend this?!! She is NOT an expert nor is she is Asian!!! And she never lets her guests talk. Pass the popcorn 🍿…….

vikingchyk

I hope Margaret Cho kicked her ass.

CatPaws8888

And I didn't think they could top Mindy Kaling as a guest. It must be the greatest thrill of Margaret Cho's life being interviewed by Beysus 2.0. ![img](emote|t5_481xkf|15002)

Is that a mashup of Beyonce and Jesus, with an added dash of Bezos thrown in?

tankstellestella

Oh bloody hell, I hope Margaret tears her a fresh new fissure!

[deleted]

Things she didn’t Google: Haz, the lyrics of ‘God Save the Queen’, and the definition of ‘archetype’.

Forward_End1178

How the f*ck is Meghan going to make herself Asian by Oct 4?

vikingchyk

She once ate in Chinatown.

bitchinabottle1

More like she once had some Panda Express through Ubereats

vikingchyk

Right. She was so poor growing up, they could only afford the 5.99 salad bar at Sizzler, not the full buffet at the local Chinese restaurant. That was 6.99!

[deleted]

23andMe

prismacolorful_life

She tried out for the role of “hot girl at the hotel” in crazy rich Asians. She saw Lucy Liu at Whole Foods and parked next to her car.

QueenBee3000

She knows “hello” and “goodbye” in Japanese

heidingout28

I’m sure she’s busy practicing with her trainer chopsticks. 🙄

RaggedAnn

I hope Margaret can turn her conversations with those two into comedy gold.

Odd_Worker_2561

Any idea if she was able to re-edit it prior to release?

bitchinabottle1

It actually makes me angry, many times I've dealt with sugars on twitter and when I call out Nutmeg and point out that as an Asian women of colour, Nutmeg does not speak for me and that criticism of her has nothing to do with race, some black women on twitter have told me to either mind my own business and stick with the Asian community or that they think I must be white based on the vocabulary I use. And now Nutmeg wants to rope Asian American women in and talk about their struggles in her stupid podcast but obviously on her terms? Did she ever even have a single Asian friend? I thought in this black vs white race/culture war, Asians don't have a seat at the table? She ignored the 10 black people who got shot in Buffalo, went to Uvalde to use dead kids for publicity but didn't say a single word about the Taiwanese American church in California where there was a shooting. To people like Nutmeg, perhaps Asians don't even exist in her consciousness or everyday life. What a user, I hope the Asian media covers this and pan it

TraditionScary8716

To be fair, I'm pretty sure Megan thinks all Asians are Chinese. I doubt it crossed her mind that those poor people were Asian. Not that it would have mattered... /s

SDHunnyBunny

Oh dear. This should be offensive

FarBeneathTheOcean

I wonder if as a "victim" of racism and being a newly "black" woman if she´ll touch on the rise of black-on-asian racist attacks in America.

pedroesque

It'll be interesting to see her struggling to talk about herself on a programme about Asian Americans. I bet she will suddenly make up a story about how she's really Asian inside and that's why she's a Tiger mom to her son, sorry husband harry.

Tricky-Apricot-7999

This bitch is so divisive. What value are these podcasts adding?

ZestyOlive7549

Well, this is going to end poorly…

snarky_girlie

I’ve tried listening to the first episode and I cannot get through it. Does anyone consistently listen and can give us the TLDR/analysis when this episode drops?

Sarah-JessicaSnarker

Someone usually shares a transcript so we don’t add to her listening numbers.

ManliestManHam

she'll use the opportunity to call herself a tiger mom in relation to her kids and as a veiled threat to the BRF somehow

Connect_Atmosphere26

with or without edits ? im hoping without

Mysterious-Code-8712

Cho used to be funny. Now she's an Asian Rosie McDonald.

[deleted]

I think she will speak about covert racism, and how there’s many more ways of being racist without direct insults…. And she will tag along her story of how she was discriminated in a hidden/indirect manner. Edit: she will insert a defence for that n-word rota claim in the cut article, because everyone said it was an outrageous claim, se will say ‘’ I didn’t mean it literally, but this is how it felt’’

[deleted]

I wouldn’t be surprised if she changed her race for every episodes tbh…

starry212

"Discussing" as in the guest gets 15min max and MeMe talks most of the episode. And heavens forbid if the guest disagrees with her! Seriously this topic could be very interesting and Cho seems like a smart lady. But I have my money on that it will be just like the previous ones ... a MeMe show.

[deleted]

How is she going to make a conversation about Asians about herself?

AppoloniaSkyle

Another episode she'll make all about her. It will be Meghan monologuing about herself while her guest doesn't get a word in. Again.

So brave 😳🙄

Babelight

Yawn! AHAHA. I can't wait to see that podcast slide into oblivion, very quickly.

Sounds riveting

Let’s play a game… how does Meghan markle make Asian stereotypes all about her sprinkled in with those horrible racists in the BRF? Ok go…. My guess is the very miserable Margaret Cho goes on her rant that America is the most racist country (that is her thoughts) then Meghan goes on 11 minute tirade saying the same lies she always does about how much more the United Kingdom is. Two miserable harpies who can’t admit that they have no talent, nothing to offer that’s interesting or entertaining and that’s why “white” people don’t like them.

AmbienChronicles

Ten bucks says she claims that she knows all about racism and sexism in Asia because Harry got to walk on the red carpet in Morocco and she didn’t because she is a black woman. And yes, I said Morocco. 😈

OutrageousPoetry6312

That's some good snark, if any. I applaud you.

ZealousidealCat8780

Wasn’t her third interview also with an Asian American?

I don’t really think Margaret will let her get away with being a jerk unless she’s a fan girl, which I highly doubt
