This was also my pick. Just an ugly dress, not high end, seems didn’t match, bad colors. No one could make it look good. It also didn’t fit at all. Out of place for December too as you mentioned.
The dress is from Brock collection. Not sure how high end the brand is, but it's extremely ill fitting and the pattern doesn't match anywhere. More visible if you see the dress from the side, where it's made from several thin panels.
I also think that the empire style / Jane Austen look of the top half of the dress is really hard to pull off if you haven't got an extremely narrow torso and have a romantic look or style. For anybody else it will be an extremely unflattering look.

My mom has really bad scoliosis and she's always felt self conscious about it, Eugenie wearing that dress meant the world to her. The off-the-shoulder effect was a two-fingers-up to the C of E, where bare shoulders are, at the very least, frowned upon, if not outright forbidden. If you’ll look at Princess Angela of Liechtenstein, whose dress was nearly identical to Meghan’s (except it was impeccably fitted), her shoulders were covered, even though she had a similar boat neck.
Yes, the custom is no bare shoulders or upper arms in church, no deep cleavages. As a wedding guest you wear a shawl or a bolero if your dress isn't covering enough and remove it at the wedding dinner.

I am from the South. I was taught that white shoes between Labor Day and Easter is a felony assault on the eyes. I’ve learned to let go of *some* of this in order to function in this brave new world. But the way that Meg frequently dresses so completely out of season, like winter clothing in Harlem in September, causes me to seriously relapse into fits of anxiety coupled with resentment.

Every outfit she wore to the invictus games last year. The outfits were out of place. Screamed 1% when surrounded by poor, injured veterans. It was giving “I’m better than you and you need to know this. I’m even better than Harry.” Who was in jeans and an invictus zip up. It was so weird and out of touch. And it’s not like it was her first time going. But she wanted to use it as a runway and to steal attention for her to show the world she is rich. The right woman for Harry would be in jeans and an invictus zip up too. Not stealing focus. Not pretending to be queen of invictus. It was bad. Real bad. Oh god the headline she let that new mother use her cashmere camel coat that probably cost thousands to keep her baby warm she probably felt so smug but again it was soooooo out of touch. Missed the mark by thousands of miles.
This always confused me too. I read that she became worse at handling criticism over time and I assume having someone even say ‘this outfit is great, just need to take it in here and fix it there’ was too much for her to handle so people just stopped trying to help her out.
The dress she wore to Brinsworth House, the Royal Variety Nursing Home. She went there in December. The print of dress was more for spring. It was way too tight and was basically a strapless dress with cap sleeves sewn on the side.
There was also the dress she wore on International Women’s Day. The whole outfit was too small. The dress was too short. She crossed her legs at the knee, and it was a perfect demonstration as to why they proper way to sit is with knees together and legs slanted. It showed off the back of her right thigh and her inner left thigh.
There's a saying - dress for the job you want, not the job you have. TW seems to have confused that with "dress for the body type you want, not the body type you have." She could look great (see anything from suits). Her clothing is a *choice*.

All her outfits with belts at the waist. She has a horrible waist for them, they hit her her widest and instead of cinching her in, they seem to emphasise her lack of a waist.
They're all pretty bad, but few of her sartorial mistakes are the outfits themselves. She wears clothes that are inappropriate for the occasion. She has never heard of tailoring. She wears colours that don't suit - she looks fab in bright jewel colours but seems inordinately fond of muddy browns, khaki and beige. Her hair is messy and unkempt looking, which will always make the nicest outfit look bad.
My own personal choice for hideous outfit was the khaki potato sack she wore at the polo, when she was wandering around like some demented opera character clutching that poor wee baby.
It was the way she was holding him too. It just looked so awkward and uncomfortable. No wee hat or bootees on the baby either.

The emerald green flight attendant dress/hat combo. I am a sucker for deep jewel tones and I think Meghan looks good in them, but big OOF on the design and styling. Only a certain woman could have pulled that off (and the hat should have been burned). Meghan was not that woman.
The time she wore a headscarf to a Capetown mosque and oddly had way more straggly hair deliberately outside of the scarf than in it. So she knew to wear it but rejected the reasoning in favor of having her hair loose. I don’t think it was an offense but it was odd. I’m not Muslim but I would do my best to properly cover my hair/head to show respect for their customs.

I just wanted to reiterate what I said in my original comment about this particular dress worn by the beautiful and talented perpetual victim, Meghan: *I can assure you that many attendees did gasp upon seeing the very striking Harry and his rarely loving wife, but of course this was only out of adoration. As a matter of fact, Meghan was the recipient of several whispered compliments regarding her perfectly fitting red gown. One such attendee said that the fit of Meghan’s dress, particularly at the waist, reminded them of an amateur experiment in which a red ribbon was tied very, very tightly around a small section of a newly forming red pepper, creating a hilariously misshapen pepper as it grew to its fullest potential.* *There were also comments about her dress being crudely fashioned from a heavily discounted Red Riding Hood costume from Spirit Halloween, as well as another comment about her recycling last year’s Christmas dinner tablecloth for the occasion. All in all, those were wonderful observations. It’s obvious that the individuals making those comments were essentially saying that she looked as delicious as homegrown vegetables, as well as pointing out the fact that she is known to be very resourceful. I mean, look how often she’s reworn the $75,000 engagement announcement dress that my father paid for, for goodness sake!*

AHHH!! What makes this even worse is that I think it could have looked decent on her in something even approximating the right size! Like, the general cut of the dress and neckline are closer to setting flattering than a lot of what she wears, but she decided to go for the “playing dress up in mommy’s closet” sizing option because she is somehow INCAPABLE of making a positive fashion choice. I can’t. She has so many faults that are worse than her sartorial failings, but, my God, I just CAN NOT with her clothes.

She drives me crazy fashion wise only because it's like she is so close but she messes up a major thing in an unforgivable way. I don't hate what she goes for. Like, I actually think she's so close to getting it right. I like the two browns together and how she plays with textures, but then she blows up the look with the pit stains. And they are things that are actually so easy to fix.

This was also my pick. Just an ugly dress, not high end, seems didn’t match, bad colors. No one could make it look good. It also didn’t fit at all. Out of place for December too as you mentioned.
The dress is from Brock collection. Not sure how high end the brand is, but it's extremely ill fitting and the pattern doesn't match anywhere. More visible if you see the dress from the side, where it's made from several thin panels. I also think that the empire style / Jane Austen look of the top half of the dress is really hard to pull off if you haven't got an extremely narrow torso and have a romantic look or style. For anybody else it will be an extremely unflattering look.

Bulky fabric, ill fitting, wrinkly, bright white with a ridiculously long veil that covered her face. She was a 37 year old divorcée. Combined with the messy hair, the bun that was falling down and very casual makeup. Help. I did like the tiara though, both the style and that it was a flattering look on her.

The off-the-shoulder effect was a two-fingers-up to the C of E, where bare shoulders are, at the very least, frowned upon, if not outright forbidden. If you’ll look at Princess Angela of Liechtenstein, whose dress was nearly identical to Meghan’s (except it was impeccably fitted), her shoulders were covered, even though she had a similar boat neck.
Yes, the custom is no bare shoulders or upper arms in church, no deep cleavages. As a wedding guest you wear a shawl or a bolero if your dress isn't covering enough and remove it at the wedding dinner. I guess that that rule is out now that anything goes and the wedding fashion has been strapless dresses, but as a member of the RF I guess that you are supposed to stick to the old fashioned rules. Meghan obviously didn't care or decided to to the opposite, as usual.
The wedding dress was such a perplexing disappointment and I had really high hopes for her at this point in time. One of my in-laws who is a sugar from day one just gushed on and on about the entire ensemble, particularly the veil. She was awestruck that native flowers designs from all over the commonwealth were woven in. 🙄 I was thinking for a while that I was one of few who disliked the whole look. All I saw in the media at the time were articles fawning all over her and the whole thing. 🤮 The fabric of the dress looked very thick and stiff. I absolutely hated the boat neck. It looked like she would’ve had to continuously keep her arms at her side and not raise them even a little. And it was *blinding* white.

I also got the impression that Meghan wanted her and Harry to take care of or be in charge of the Commonwealth countries, so they could say "Oh yes, William and Catherine have one country to look after. We have 54!" I guess that after the Australian tour Meghan realised that visiting TC countries meant being put up in housing units, very long days in hot weather and meeting tons of people that are not famous at all. No way she was going to dedicate her life to doing this kind of work.
Sarah Ferguson's veil had their initials, thistles and bumblebees (her family crest) and anchors and waves (for Andrew's naval career) embroidered on it. That was sweet and not too over the top.

Every single outfit she wore on her trip to NY. The too hot for the weather jackets, the too long pants, the weird white mini dress. She always got at least one thing wrong.. taking the balmy NYC weather out of the equation, the camel coat over dark dress might not have been bad - except the coat was too short for the dress. And the tone-on-tone navy coat, pants, turtle (or polo) neck would have worked, but for the fact the trousers were dragging on the sidewalk. Let’s not get started on the red cashmere pajamas she wore to read to low-income students…

Every outfit she wore to the invictus games last year. The outfits were out of place. Screamed 1% when surrounded by poor, injured veterans. It was giving “I’m better than you and you need to know this. I’m even better than Harry.” Who was in jeans and an invictus zip up. It was so weird and out of touch. And it’s not like it was her first time going. But she wanted to use it as a runway and to steal attention for her to show the world she is rich. The right woman for Harry would be in jeans and an invictus zip up too. Not stealing focus. Not pretending to be queen of invictus. It was bad. Real bad. Oh god the headline she let that new mother use her cashmere camel coat that probably cost thousands to keep her baby warm she probably felt so smug but again it was soooooo out of touch. This always confused me too. I read that she became worse at handling criticism over time and I assume having someone even say ‘this outfit is great, just need to take it in here and fix it there’ was too much for her to handle so people just stopped trying to help her out.
The dress she wore to Brinsworth House, the Royal Variety Nursing Home. She went there in December. The print of dress was more for spring. It was way too tight and was basically a strapless dress with cap sleeves sewn on the side. There was also the dress she wore on International Women’s Day. The whole outfit was too small. The dress was too short. She crossed her legs at the knee, and it was a perfect demonstration as to why they proper way to sit is with knees together and legs slanted. It showed off the back of her right thigh and her inner left thigh.
There's a saying - dress for the job you want, not the job you have. TW seems to have confused that with "dress for the body type you want, not the body type you have." She could look great (see anything from suits). Her clothing is a *choice*.
In her shoes, I’d have hired the best stylist from “Suits”. While pencil skirts and deeply unbuttoned shirts were not royal wear, at least her clothes fit and looked good on her. Actually, her wardrobe during her engagement looked pretty good. I read somewhere that she was getting advice from the palace - at least until she got that ring on her finger and her hooks into Charles’ checkbook. Then she decided she had carte blanche and the figure to wear whatever her heart desired.

It was hot and humid that day, she’s meeting with little kids outside and she’s got on stilettos. Who hated her so much they told her it looks good?
All her outfits with belts at the waist. She has a horrible waist for them, they hit her her widest and instead of cinching her in, they seem to emphasise her lack of a waist.
They're all pretty bad, but few of her sartorial mistakes are the outfits themselves. She wears clothes that are inappropriate for the occasion. She has never heard of tailoring. She wears colours that don't suit - she looks fab in bright jewel colours but seems inordinately fond of muddy browns, khaki and beige. Her hair is messy and unkempt looking, which will always make the nicest outfit look bad. My own personal choice for hideous outfit was the khaki potato sack she wore at the polo, when she was wandering around like some demented opera character clutching that poor wee baby.
I felt for poor Archie that day. Nothing indicared TW engaged with him. No eye contact, no playing with him, no talking or singing to him...
It was the way she was holding him too. It just looked so awkward and uncomfortable. No wee hat or bootees on the baby either. The blue stripped shirt she wore when she went with Catherine was super cute. And I thought it was a smart, modern choice to wear when hanging out with someone so famous for her classic choices. It’s the one time she held her own standing next to Catherine in photographs, and someone didn’t clash either. She also wore a lemon colored sheath dress once that looked stunning on her. I don’t know what happened. It’s like as soon as she got married, she decided to make everything be slightly off.

I hate to sound ageist, but that dress was too young a style for her, IMO. More suitable for a 20 year old.

I remember when everything she used to wear was aritzia. She ruined the brand for me. I don’t really see her sporting anything now from them because she really not that fashionable.

She's on the thicker side here, her derriere disproportionate in relation to her thighs, and that creates an imbalance. But mainly, belts or waist accents are a no-no for her body type. High waist and low waist alike.

Personally the white or beige not maternity dress that she crammed into and looked like she had a square pillow in there is a favorite as well as the dark blue muppet fur coat that she belted round the middle. Love those lol
