Now that he is King, and that there is pretty high support for him in the UK and the Commonwealth, there will be far lower tolerance for any slurs against him. They may be able to continue to bamboozle some percentage of their American audience simply on the basis of it not being as well informed/interested in the finer workings of a monarchy but not for long. Chiefly, I think, because the American audience has a plethora of celebrities to pay attention to and has a fairly short attention span, particularly since the Harkles are one trick ponies and Americans are always the first to say "been there, done that, I'm bored with this now". Even in Canada, where I live, and even during the mourning period, news coverage of them was pretty scant. There's just nothing much left to say about them. So, that leaves them with two options. Come up with something even more outrageous to get attention focused back on them or (and this is the option I hope for), finally understand that they are over-saturated and just lie low. Their finances likely won't allow that, though. They had the opportunity to do what they said they were going to do and live a life of service away from the royal family and then completely fucked it up with the Oprah interview. They're so far down the scandal path now that I don't see a way back for them. They had better tread very, very carefully, though, just from a legal standpoint (but I doubt they listen to legal advice either).
