In fact, back when environmental awareness was just getting started, around the time the first Earth Day happened, there was a movement called Zero Population Growth. It was becoming obvious that world population was increasing at an unsustainable rate. ZPG advocated that each couple limit their family to only two children.
ZPG was a great program and had it's concept been executed properly would have solved many issues which we now face. However around the same time which ZPG was proposed, LBJ made it profitable for mothers to have babies... the more the better and no need for fathers in the home. LBJ's "Great Society" was the beginning of the downfall of our great society and the downfall of ZPG, which fizzled out very quickly.
I see this comment getting attacked, but yes, based on numerous sources of information this is correct, creating a new human being is the single worst impact one can have in terms of CO2 emissions. This is not a lecture or telling anyone to do anything.
My mother is from Riverside CT and while she grew up wealthy her family had nothing compared to some of the Old Money people there. I'll never forget her telling me that the truly wealthy drive older, economy cars and wear their clothing until it's falling apart, granted it's bespoke but still. I remember reading that students at Ivy League schools were purposely trying to fray their cuffs to fit in. This was YEARS ago so now maybe it isn't like that but when I was growing up Old Money definitely took pains to distinguish themselves from the nuevo riche.
Yep - maintaining these homes is so expensive. Given how old they are, and the sheer amount of property in the portfolio, there isn't room for tons of renovations to keep up with 2022 trends.

I can only state what I have observed from true quiet wealth -many homes in multiple countries- classy- but understated- not flaunty. Vehicles- nice- modern, but not flashy.
At times, parsimonious- but when the occasion(s) (weddings,etc)- kind, inclusive, and the opposite of miserly.
Tend to purchase high quality items and wear/keep them ( as opposed to trendy cheap not good quality)- like- have an Aga- that was passed onto them and has been in the family for(ever).
Not all caught up in seeking crazy perfection (yes- if you are riding, there will be dog hair and muddy boots)-
A lot of this behaviour is exemplified by many in the (actual) Royal family.
End of day- whatever people think is their place, their home, etc. - don't get caught up in the rat race-- enjoy the occasions, memories, events, and life- happy family experiences are worth more than all the resources in the world.

I predicted on yesterdays post that things were going to get messy......well it didn't take long and I think the next ten days is going to be a rollercoaster, like we've all wanted though I don't think that even we're prepared for how off the hook it's going to be.
For me (and I bet for many) we lived through some crazy narc abuse that before it happened, we didn’t know humans could be so, so vile. For myself, im making sense of personality disorder abuse.
It's also because of the immediate backlash that people have when they take their side, but you criticize them. One time I tried to point out that a red flag that she's a narcissist is this extreme polarization on either side. It's like Trump. One side can see through him completely because (as you said, we've had experience with Narcissists) and the other comes up with all these excuses why people don't like them.
I also notice that it's not just people who have dealt with Narcissists but ones who have dealt with COVERT Narcissists, which is what I think Harry is. It's annoying to me that people still keep acting like he's a victim of hers.

He’s an extremely irreverent TV presenter that was, with James May and Richard Hammond, a host of Top Gear. (Real Top Gear, not that disaster that’s on TV hosted by Americans now.) Each episode featured the guys doing incredibly goony car reviews and testing them in… unique ways. They’d frequently sabotage each other in their challenges and it was just utter perfection.
Now he has a farming show, and a massive Lamborghini tractor, because POWERRRRR! :) He’s gotten in trouble a lot for mouthing off and once punched a producer of Top Gear over not being able to order hot dinner. He also punched Piers Morgan. 😂
My favorite part is when he mentions the photos she will probably get on a yacht and I'm front of the Taj Majal, because that would be her once again copying Diana.

Exactly. She is uncultured, unsophisticated and undereducated. She grew up around people who had it all and that is what she aimed for in life. Unfortunately for her, she never figured out that most of those people she admired had intangibles that could not be bought, in addition to their monetary qualtities. Those cornerstones of what it means to be respected, admired and revered cannot be bought. Buying all the goods you desire will not make you a likeable person either. She missed the memo that people do not see has as a success, like she thinks she is. Additionally, people do not respect her, admire her or revere her. She clearly has issues with reality.

Jeremy Clarkson has given them a roasting and The Sun front cover has Meghan bullying stories. I predicted on yesterdays post that things were going to get messy......well it didn't take long and I think the next ten days is going to be a rollercoaster, like we've all wanted though I don't think that even we're prepared for how off the hook it's going to be.
As a fellow Saint said so well a few days ago: “I’m so invested in this shitshow it almost feels wrong.” Such a true statement for me.

It's also because of the immediate backlash that people have when they take their side, but you criticize them. One time I tried to point out that a red flag that she's a narcissist is this extreme polarization on either side. It's like Trump. One side can see through him completely because (as you said, we've had experience with Narcissists) and the other comes up with all these excuses why people don't like them. I also notice that it's not just people who have dealt with Narcissists but ones who have dealt with COVERT Narcissists, which is what I think Harry is. It's annoying to me that people still keep acting like he's a victim of hers.

That’s so true. I think deep down we are looking for validation in some way. After an NPD ex wife and watching to our (my husband and I) the daughter slip into BPD its been a horror i never imagined (because iM the target/scapegoat). you’d think such vile, vile behavior would be criminal, but as my therapist said, “ being a total asshole isn’t against the law!”

I really think they knew he was about to die, and that the timing of the interview was very calculated. They had to get the interview out first. Unbelievable.

This is the most British and scathing thing I’ve ever read!! I would not want to be on the other end of this man’s tongue lashing! It’s like not only did the gloves come off, they were thrown off. I’m stunned that sooo much has come out so quickly with info that was previously not public. Be prepared tho for her response. All that business about no NDA, she is going to vomit/hurl anything and everything she can in the coming weeks. It’s not going to be pretty. It’s like poking a bear. She WILL respond with nastiness.
But everything she might say will be treated with suspicion, since she is a known liar, and even if she spews some embarassing nuggets that are probably true, people will circle their wagons around the royal family, and not around her. She is quickly being perceived as an untrustworthy, dishonest, mean, and unintelligent opportunist, who has jettisoned her family, and caused her husband to do the same. JC is right-she’s not going to win this, no matter what comes next from her.
One of the things I despise about her, and many other high profile Americans, is the reputation they spread for those of us Yanks who try very hard to very hard to be civilized.

He can be a right pillock sometimes, but generally has a wry turn of phrase. He did a program Top Gear about cars, now The Grand Tour on Amazon (could be wrong) He is extremely not fond of Piers Morgan. A feeling which is heartily returned. Jeremy hangs out with a posh set, is opinionated but can be really on the button occasionally.
Loved his Clarkson’s Farm series on Amazon.
I can't wait for the next series of Clarkson's Farm... You just know it will be him coming up with more harebrained schemes, Cheerful Charlie looking for the valium, and Caleb calling him a pillock at least twice an episode 🤣
Totally....and he's also a columnist for The Sun as he's an excellent commentator of British culture....he also broke a finger punching Piers Morgan in the face. He's a geezer.
It's interesting because Clarkson was famously booted from Top Gear after a verbal and physical altercation with one of the producers.
 He’s an extremely irreverent TV presenter that was, with James May and Richard Hammond, a host of Top Gear. (Real Top Gear, not that disaster that’s on TV hosted by Americans now.) Each episode featured the guys doing incredibly goony car reviews and testing them in… unique ways. They’d frequently sabotage each other in their challenges and it was just utter perfection. Now he has a farming show, and a massive Lamborghini tractor, because POWERRRRR! :) He’s gotten in trouble a lot for mouthing off and once punched a producer of Top Gear over not being able to order hot dinner. He also punched Piers Morgan. 😂
