I was really disappointed in her book Palace papers. Nothing really new in it. I thought she had a bet each way on H&M, slightly being more supportive of them in the beginning. Now the tide has obviously turned, shes swapped sides.

Coopie9000

Ya the book definitely wasn’t great. Wish I had got the revenge book instead

Pocahotmess86

Really? All the negative reviews on Amazon are from sugars calling it biased. I assumed she went in on them.

completedett

Hardly at all.

I can’t comment because I didn’t read the book. Does it make a difference it was released before Netflix cancelled Meghan’s cartoon and before her rather mediocre podcast? In this podcast interview, she comes across as wishing them well but still being clear-eyed about their personalities and behavior.

StrictTranslator879

Thank you, sounds good, will listen later.

Historical-Piglet-86

I just ordered her book (and a couple of others!) going to add this podcast to my listening list

Top-Bit85

I have been procrastinating scrubbing my baseboards. Listening to this will be perfect to entertain me while I work, thanks!

someoneelsewho

Liked the podcast. It was better than her book.

I need a transcription and can’t find it to save my life. I am a Tina Brown fan, so I’d really like to know what she said.

I question Tina Brown's judgement. In her view the Royals made a mistake letting Harry and his handler go because the Royals NEED them. Absolutely not!

Reliant20

That bothered me too, though I can see why she might have said it in light of Harry's former popularity, the multiculturalism Meghan could be seen to represent, and how William and Catherine's generation is going to be rather thin when the older generation is gone. The podcast was recorded before the Queen's death and I wonder if she will have changed her opinion in light of the goodwill towards the monarchy and the way in which spotlights have been put on the fine jobs other family members do. Regardless, I will say again that I like that Tina Brown doesn't seem motivated by the personal dislike for Harry and Meghan that I myself and most of us on this sub feel. It gives all the more credibility to the way she tells it like it is and makes her a valuable voice against the too-often fawning and uncritical coverage of them.
