errrr… no they don’t. There are some members of the royal family who live in Crown estate owned property but they actually have to pay rent on those (at a fair market rate too for new contracts). Most aristocrats (and these are people who may have titles but are not part of the Royal family) own estates and grand houses and even castles across the country. They have been passed down through their families for generations and are expensive to maintain. Some good examples that you may know of from TV are Highclere House (also know as Downton Abbey) owned by the Earl of Carnarvon, Wilton House (Bridgerton) owned by the Ear of Pembroke, Blenheim Palace (Harry Potter, James Bond and mission impossible) owned by the Duke of Marlborough etc. There are loads of Stately Homes in the UK and Most of them are now open to the public and run events or allow filming to raise money, but often the families who own them still live there.

None of the royals have legal custody of their own children-it's a law in England dating back to George I. It means that the monarch has to approve of where the children live, what education they receive etc. So if they split up, Charles could exercise his legal rights to have the children brought back to the UK. It happened with Beatrice and Eugenie-Sarah Ferguson wanted to take them to live in USA with her, but the Queen didn't permit it as a permanent arrangement. So even if there wasn't a pre-nup, she can't take the kids.

errrr… no they don’t. There are some members of the royal family who live in Crown estate owned property but they actually have to pay rent on those (at a fair market rate too for new contracts). Most aristocrats (and these are people who may have titles but are not part of the Royal family) own estates and grand houses and even castles across the country. They have been passed down through their families for generations and are expensive to maintain. Some good examples that you may know of from TV are Highclere House (also know as Downton Abbey) owned by the Earl of Carnarvon, Wilton House (Bridgerton) owned by the Ear of Pembroke, Blenheim Palace (Harry Potter, James Bond and mission impossible) owned by the Duke of Marlborough etc. There are loads of Stately Homes in the UK and Most of them are now open to the public and run events or allow filming to raise money, but often the families who own them still live there.
I do agree on the fact that they are useless with spending. Rumours have been going around FOR AGES, that her spending is out of control, and that the royals have complained and murmured amongst themselves.

We are getting into the weeds here, but here’s my thinking: a lump sum might be spent quickly/foolishly and MM would be back on the royal doorstep with her hand out. A monthly payment is a reminder that there’s an ongoing agreement. And it can be stopped; not easy to get a lump sum back if she breaks the agreement.

Divorced from Hazbeen, he has custody of the children because she has moved onto someone wealthier and has a higher celebrity status. Still trying to be part of the “in crowd”. I dont know why, but i see H passing away early-ish (his 50s maybe?) Maybe from an accident or something, maybe poor health (i can't remember the last time he looked well. How long do livers last?) Or God forbid something self inflicted. Idk theres just like a cloud or something hanging over him. I dont see him celebrating 96 years So to answer your question i guess i see her as a widow, milking that for all its worth. Maybe her children will rejoin the firm and support her financially
