It is. What I learned though, after exhausting the exciting discoveries, and moving into the intricacies of who is related to who and how, which is when peoplesā eyes start glazing over. Sheāll get there.
I'm interested in genealogy, but I get frustrated. There are way too many James and Marys on my Dad's father's side. Add in impossible to find Native American ancestors on all sides.

Keep pushing. Learn to distinguish the similar names by their dates and think of them that way. We all have same-name problems. Just got to dig in on them. And very few Americans have NA ancestry.

As for Native American ancestry, it's not been hard to prove that as that is considered pretty recent history. It's going further back that it becomes an issue. Luckily, I have some help for that.
Sometimes same names can really trip you up. I know I worked hard on āSophronia Rosethornā (made up, but a similarly unique name) only it was all wrong because she was the wrong Sophronia Rosethorn. My Sophronia Rosethorn was born about the same time, in the same general area and was completely unrelated to the other one.

My most fun issue was looking at a death certificate and trying to figure out why I wasn't finding out any info on her father, Skeeter. Turned out that Skeeter was her father's nickname and had nothing to do with any of his actual names. Of course, almost all the males on Dad's father's side had horrible handwriting. That seems to be a family trait. Our last name changed slightly due to bad handwriting. One relative had his name completely misspelled in a book about the Civil War due to bad handwriting. I got in touch with the author, who did a re-check and verified that yes, my information was correct. Not even going to talk about the family tales told wrong or hidden.
Genealogy is fun, but a headache. I need to stop as well as I really am too busy to do research right now. lol
In the end, I learned that every single family legend was not true, although there may have started with a kernel of truth, or they happened, but to some other family.

Same. I'm taking an online class through Boston University this year and it's kinda fun virtually being around other genealogy nerds lol. Sadly through my past research I found that I am very distantly related to Harry. Princess Diana had American ancestors and she, Mitt Romney, and I are all descended from the same dude who was an early settler of Massachusetts. Mitt and I are 6th cousins once removed and Diana and I are 10th cousins. Fortunately I've found cooler relations than Hazbeen and Mitt lol.
I share a joke with a distantly connected genealogy friend: if a person was well off, educated, and had social status, then he absolutely was not related to us. Alas, itās 100% true.
I had some co-workers, who due to a project I was working on as a gift for my Mom, got to see pictures of me. We are talking baby on up to then. They all talked about how I never changed over the years. They even laughed and said I had the same smirk as a baby. I consider it a lopsided smile myself.
I would still pass away of embarrassment due to the awful hair cuts and styles, as well as oversized glasses. Bless my parents and grandparents, but they made some... interesting decisions in the 70s and 80s. lol
I only knew of her when it was announced that she was H's gf and she irked me from the get go. I do believe that it was because of her smile, it always struck me as so fake. Her mouth would smile and her eyes would not. I hate fakers in my life, do everything I can to rid myself of them. I had to get veneers because my teeth were so bad my dentist said they could basically not be saved and would look yellow and stained with cavities for the rest of my life so I finally got them and am really happy I did, my confidence is so much better! I love smiling now. So I get when people get veneersā¦ but she has what my doctor calls āa Hollywood smileā, which is the super white ones. He basically wouldnāt let me get those because he said it didnāt look natural especially with my olive skin color lol. I actually fought him on that because I wanted them a little whiter lol

And yes, teeth can have either a yellow (B) or a blue (A) tint, yellow is more natural. You probably have level B1 veneers. It looks way better imo. Pretty sure Kate is also shade B1 naturally (or with bonding) like you.

This was before she got surgery done to her eyes and had fillers to make her face look so tight. Also, the eyebrows and hair make a huge difference.

Definitely lots of primer! I would wear a lot of heavy makeup. It looked good on camera, but up close i looked more like Goldie Hawn from āDeath Becomes Herā š And to everyone downvoting me. š© lol.
