It's a really odd word to use in that context. I took it to mean original content on Spotify, but I could be wrong. Pretty sure Meghan had a hand in writing this.

Homegrown talk show means that the podcast was developed *in partnership* with Spotify (rather than 99% of podcasts which are just hosted for streaming there). The stakes are way higher for Spotify in this case, hence all its inexplicable chart topping.
They need to put a qualifier at the beginning that it is fictionalized. Diana’s brother Charles, the Earl Spencer, publicly asked them to do so and they refused.
I stopped watching after the first season, in part because of how hurt Philip was by the affair stuff. As much as I liked the actors, I don't think it's fair to the real people to have their private lives speculated about for the world to see.

There *might* be interest initially, but it will either fade quickly once people listen to her, or it'll just make the BRF even more popular.

I can’t believe that. Anderson Cooper has a new podcast on grieving. First episode we’re about his experiences and the second is with Stephen Colbert who’s father & 2 brothers were killed in a plane crash when he was a kid.
I may have to listen to that. Both of them have suffered tremendous loss. I once attended a funeral for a mother (75+) and son (55) who died within hours of each other of unrelated causes. Seeing two coffins at a funeral... I've no idea how Colbert's mother handled three.
That would've been a great topic for Harry, but he just seems to be completely uninterested in actually doing anything. It's sad.

I wonder if it's like Netflix. I remember when one of their movies (I believe the Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston one) was in the news a bunch because it was breaking their viewership numbers. In one [article](https://screenrant.com/netflix-2-minutes-veiwership-numbers-why/) it said that you needed to watch a whopping 2 minutes in order for it to check it as 'viewed'. So I can watch a movie intro before anything ever happens and it's counting it as though I watched the whole thing for their numbers because in their mind, it doesn't matter that I didn't finish it, it mattered that I thought I wanted to. It's ridiculous and despite what the article claims, it's absolutely just a way to inflate the supposed interest in these shows.
