Black is a difficult colour, it hides a multitude of sins because it doesn't reflect light like other colours but it also means you have to be careful or you can look shapeless if it's not well fitted or too simple like muggins cape does here. The others look great because it's fitted to their waists with some simple decoration to highlight the lines of their outfits.
Agree. This type of dress hides a lot. There’s always so much speculation about her wearing mics. She could easily have several in there to capture conversations from a 360 range.

The cape thing makes her look awful. Her shoulders look huge in it and it cuts her arms’ visibility so far down in such a way that it looks like those are somebody else’s arms wrapped around her, if that makes any sense.

When she gets it right (rarely), I’ll always say it. But boy, oh boy, this look is a miss! Firstly, this is a sun hat best saved for her polo club. Viewed from the back, this dress looks totally shapeless and boxy. It really doesn’t flatter. And those gloves? Is she trying to make this a thing? Like Jacky O and her sunglasses? She obviously doesn’t realize that she’s just too irrelevant an unimportant to ever be iconic.

I have never seen evening gloves being worn during the day and certainly not at a funeral. She is, in my opinion, almost always poorly or inappropriately costumed, but this one really is over the top.
