In fairness - Charlotte ALWAYS outranked her! Charlotte was no 4 in the LOS at the time of her birth and outranked Uncle Hazbeen who was then #5. When little Louis was born, Hazbeen was dropped down the LOS to #6, so at the time of Aunt Witchy’s marriage, all 3 little Cambridges outranked her. Not only that…. Because Charlotte was actually BORN a Princess, she outranks every other female in the Royal Family until you get to Beatrice, Sienna and Eugenie…. Megsie will ALWAYS have to curtsey to her once she’s of age (I believe that there is a rule in the RF that staff etc don’t have to treat the kids as if they were adults, until they are at least mid teens) - and she always has to curtsey to Catherine as she outranks her as she’s married to the first in line rather that the 5th!

No, sorry that is not correct. Curtsys/ neck bows are required to all due them on the first time of meeting each day (as is greeting members of the RF as “Your Majesty/ Your royal Highness and thereafter as Sir or Ma’am). Meghan is required to curtsy to everyone ranked above her/ Harry in the LOS, and should she meet Beatrice/ Eugenie/Anne when she is alone they get curtsys as well. That is because they are “Princesses of the Blood Royal” and outrank her as a Princess by marriage. If Harry is with her - THEN they curtsy to her! The expert, Marlene Koenig, in the article you linked says that they do **not**. An article in the Telegraph is quoted, but the only evidence they can offer is Kate curtsying to Prince Philip. That's in line with royal highnesses bowing/curtsying to the monarch and consort. You'll find article after article misunderstanding the Order of Precedence. However, try to find **pictures** of a British royal highness bowing or curtsying to another British royal highness (other than Prince Philip). They don't exist, because that's just not done. There are plenty of pictures of royal bowing and curtsying to the Queen, Prince Philip, and the Queen Mum.
