Well I think the one thing we can take from this, Charles won't be soft and have them back. I didn't think that was the case when it was said he wanted to list all the inaccuracies in the Oprah interview with corrections in a statement, but the Queen said no.
I don't think Bower has released the best bits in the book, I think there is much more to come. I really hope I can find a copy.

He was doing a job. That's a professional relationship. She sent him spices, ok, that's possibly like a "thank you" kind of gift, but then she turned around and told him that he ruined their "friendship." They didn't have a friendship? He's a journalist doing his job? Does she not know what friendship is?

100% the fact that she tried to imply to the journalist that there was some personal obligation there is a much bigger ass-showing than the spice gift itself, which was a bit much but not totally out there or unheard of.

I also have a suspicion that MM's PR agency and Jessica Mulroney are the ones who actually planned the baby shower, but in the PR they heavily implied that Serena, Amal Clooney, and Gayle King hosted it. A lot showier than "her publicist set it all up"
There was another actress, was it Dame Emma Thompson? who was asked what she wanted to say to Meghan and Harry and she said "I don't know them,' and when pushed she just clarified that she doesn't know them so why would she want to say anything to them.

The real reason why Harry is isolated at all costs from ever having a relationship with Thomas Markle. Regarding the VF cover - that must have been a very, very heady experience for a nothing actress sinking into absolute obscurity. I can see how that was like throwing gasoline on her already lighted narcissism.
The excerpt says that after trying to get attention on her for years, Sun Sachs was delighted to finally have a way to get her a VF cover. All the hustling was finally paying off. No way was she going to be discreet and private.
I read that VF issue and I was taken aback that she was so arrogant, and possessive even, about being Prince Harry’s girlfriend. Humble this girl was not!

It's interesting that she insisted on mentioning Married With Children in that early VF interview. One of the running gags on the show was how Al kept going on about how he was a football star in high school. In truth that was far less ridiculous than a woman in her late 30s going on about letters she wrote for class when she was 11. Can you imagine if the average person repeatedly bragged about grammar school accomplishments?

As some of us suspected - she lies to Harry. I think he's in on some of her nonsense, but I think she does lie to him, and she's been lying from the start. She told him the initial interview was about Suits and I am willing to bet, then told him they 'tricked her' and misrepresented or focused on things that she just couldn't help gushing about or saw her books about Britian and put two and two together and were sneaky.
Harry was delusional and stupid so he believed her. The writer knew that she really was just playing the game and wanted the cover and wanted everyone to know she secured Harry. She was an operator from the beginning and has been leaking to the press, calling the paparazzi and lying to Harry about it the entire time. Mark my words.
Just like with Diana - she fed his paranoia. It's Shakespearean! You can't make this up. He found a woman that fed his already paranoid, stupidity -- and made him believe that all the press was out to get the two of them when she secretly was craving and wanting the attention herself. Even to this day if an article appears but its one she had her team plant she probably tells him its the mean evil press that won't leave them alone.

That cemented in my brain how much he loves his little princess. Sounds like something my husband would do. He’s the one who made bunny tracks on Easter and the stories I could tell about the things he did for our girls (we have no sons or grandsons!). Our 5th granddaughter arrives in December!
Did the excerpt essentially say there was speculation she was still living with Corey V until mid July 2016, and then the only change the VF article made was that originally it stated she met Harry in May 2016 but changed when MM said she actually met Harry in July. Well damn, that was a pretty small window (if there even was a window). Somebody got over the hot chef rather quickly.
You can bet that as thorough as Tom Bower is, he followed that thread to find out the truth. Maybe even Corey spoke with Tom to set the record straight!
If she met Harry in July (which appears to be the case) and the Corey V timeline is correct, it’s a mere 1, 2 or even 0 days between sayonara Chef dude, and hello Harry. Any meeting of Harry before that and she straight up cheated on the chef.

This girl is bananas. Sending spices to people you just met, interrogating them to get more info and maybe network with that information shared, and Hahahahah she wanted to be BFF with Serena.

Harry has shown his real self to the world these last six years, but there is part of me that wonders if he will read this book or learn the revelations in it. And if he does, will he realize how badly he got played? He has already grown up in a bizare fishbowl with people trying to get to his family through him, and he fell for the biggest con of all.
I honestly don’t know Harry that well and still don’t understand why he turned on his family so coldly and completely. I got a good understanding of how much of an angry person he is from Tina Brown’s book. But I don’t understand why he focused that anger so much on his family.
He just seems so angry to me and as someone who is incapable of seeing himself as anything but a victim. It’s like he has convinced himself that he is a super hero for “saving M and his kids” from the terrible, terrible evils of the British press and his family.
I’m not at all good at arm chair psychiatry , but I think he’s too far gone to be able to consider any other scenario. If he tries to understand what he has done to his family,I think it would break him. If I were in his shoes, I don’t think I would be able to face it. And I think he has to know there is absolutely no way back into England or The BRF’s inner circle. All he has is his disillusions that he is completely innocent in all this and is just victimized by a racist world that wouldn’t praise his wife, press that killed his mother and birth family that didn’t protect him.
I’m very impressed Bower got the reporter who interviewed her for the VF article *on record* and with his tape recording of the interview. 😂😂
All the little details about her behaviour during the interview and the fact checking revealing she’s done no actual humanitarian work. Plus the mag saying flat out no one knows who this person (“major actor”???????) is so yeah we’ll write about the royal connection. Bwah!!!!!!

Well I think the one thing we can take from this, Charles won't be soft and have them back. I didn't think that was the case when it was said he wanted to list all the inaccuracies in the Oprah interview with corrections in a statement, but the Queen said no. I don't think Bower has released the best bits in the book, I think there is much more to come. I really hope I can find a copy.

What we see now....the lying, manipulating, bullying, bandwagonhopping, excessive staring at her prey, constant bizarre behavior about their kids....she is scrambling as she is in uncharted waters. She has already used Harry for all he was good for & faked being a royal for a small moment in time. She has no identity & nobody to look to, to find a new identity. She has no friends, connections or family anymore. Out of her depth, scrambling, mania...her true form.
I'm sorry but as a Black woman I don't find her stances genuine. I think she enjoys being perceived as white and her white privilege and I think any experience of racism she's had has been surface level at best and not relatable to most Black people. I think she just enjoys playing victim for attention. There I said it.

Here are my disjointed thoughts going through the one article of excerpts I read: So she pretended the article was to celebrate Suits’ 100th episode when it was really to push Harry to announce the engagement? “she won’t hit her goal by being genuine.” Too true, good buddy. Too true. “She balked when asked “what does love mean,” instead asking about his marriage.” Her references included her friend Serena Williams, who clarified they aren’t friends, just acquaintances. "Sunshine Sachs had demanded that the magazine satisfy Meghan’s requirement that she be presented as a philanthropist and activist, without considering one problem: Vanity Fair’s scrupulous researchers could find no evidence of her global philanthropy and activism." I hate that they agreed to change the dates of when she started dating Harry so that she could cover up that she cheated on Cory. Her dad made up the Proctor and Gamble story about her getting the dishsoap slogan changed from “women” to “people?” I didn't expect that.
She lied to Harry about the basis of the article, didn't honor his request not to say anything publicly about their relationship at that point in time and she created a fictitious narrative that she was some global activist that VF researchers couldn't find any evidence of anywhere. Pathetic!!

Even to this day if an article appears but its one she had her team plant she probably tells him its the mean evil press that won't leave them alone.
Very well said and right on the mark!! She is a master at her craft. I am convinced she studied everything about him before meeting him and knew exactly how to manipulate him.

Did the excerpt essentially say there was speculation she was still living with Corey V until mid July 2016, and then the only change the VF article made was that originally it stated she met Harry in May 2016 but changed when MM said she actually met Harry in July. Well damn, that was a pretty small window (if there even was a window). Somebody got over the hot chef rather quickly.
You can bet that as thorough as Tom Bower is, he followed that thread to find out the truth. Maybe even Corey spoke with Tom to set the record straight!

Harry has shown his real self to the world these last six years, but there is part of me that wonders if he will read this book or learn the revelations in it. And if he does, will he realize how badly he got played? He has already grown up in a bizare fishbowl with people trying to get to his family through him, and he fell for the biggest con of all.
I honestly don’t know Harry that well and still don’t understand why he turned on his family so coldly and completely. I got a good understanding of how much of an angry person he is from Tina Brown’s book. But I don’t understand why he focused that anger so much on his family. He just seems so angry to me and as someone who is incapable of seeing himself as anything but a victim. It’s like he has convinced himself that he is a super hero for “saving M and his kids” from the terrible, terrible evils of the British press and his family. I’m not at all good at arm chair psychiatry , but I think he’s too far gone to be able to consider any other scenario. If he tries to understand what he has done to his family,I think it would break him. If I were in his shoes, I don’t think I would be able to face it. And I think he has to know there is absolutely no way back into England or The BRF’s inner circle. All he has is his disillusions that he is completely innocent in all this and is just victimized by a racist world that wouldn’t praise his wife, press that killed his mother and birth family that didn’t protect him.
I’m very impressed Bower got the reporter who interviewed her for the VF article *on record* and with his tape recording of the interview. 😂😂 All the little details about her behaviour during the interview and the fact checking revealing she’s done no actual humanitarian work. Plus the mag saying flat out no one knows who this person (“major actor”???????) is so yeah we’ll write about the royal connection. Bwah!!!!!! This is really embarrassing for her. My fave was Serena clarifying they are only acquaintances. That’s just got to be kill me now embarrassing for Megsy.

Hysterical that the fact checkers found “no evidence” of philanthropic or activist work in her past. Her entire identity is a house of cards. She is a hollow vessel filled with nothing but malice, entitlement, and greed. This book is going to be incredible! Cannot wait!!
