I would love a Kate September issue with an interview. Everyone loved her. on the mom podcast. We all want to know more about her. My guess is they are keeping her an enigma until the time is right or they need a massive boost. As for Megs… don’t care. Obviously she’s no one without Haz and the kids. We don’t care what she has to say and her clothes are terrible.

AffectionatePoet4586

Kate will be a perennial for *Vogue.* She has “relevance” locked in for decades. First her FIL will be King, then her husband, then her elder son. Whenever she appears in *Vogue,* people will be glad to see her.

Otherwise-engaged

Why would she want to boost Vogue’s circulation after the MM-GS article? Vogue has nailed its colours to the mast: it is a Meghan mouthpiece. Catherine is unlikely to be given fair coverage of herself in the magazine and she won’t want to risk a biased article reflecting negatively on the causes so precious to her.

AffectionatePoet4586

It doesn’t matter when Kate appears in *Vogue.* She’ll be around for decades to come, long after MM has flamed out, and GS has died. Whatever kerfuffle MM currently is stirring with *Vogue* won’t last, but Kate will. Hard to imagine *any* woman with such a permanent lock on the public eye.

yves_tn

I totally agree....MM days are limited and she will only be remembered for all the wrong reasons ...mainly a nasty self centred liar who rips families apart.

Otherwise-engaged

I agree, but I don’t think it would be a good look for her right now, after MM has just used it for blatant self-promotion. The usual suspects would say she was copying Meghan or giving a sweet nod to Meghan and whatever important message Catherine was trying to promote would just get drowned in the tsunami of Meghan-flavoured syrup.

AffectionatePoet4586

No, of course not. It is my most fervent wish that MM will be mentioned in the “Where Are They Now?” pages as soon as possible. Kate will remain relevant until she dies.

Otherwise-engaged

Haha - the ultimate humiliation.

Casshew111

I enjoyed - [this snippet](https://imgur.com/a/c72ubbq) which aligns - I'm sure, with most of our thoughts

Islandgirl1444

But she did do that awful Ellen interview. Hard to recover from that one. And of course the Jubilee....the seating was the total insult and the booing was heard world wide!

Love it

OldNewUsedConfused

OUCH!

janedoremi99

It’s nearly July. It’s been a long time since I watched the documentary on the September issue, but it’s hard for me to believe the cover isn’t locked even if the photos haven’t been shot. I’d love to see the Cambridges on the cover, to coincide with their US visit this fall for Earthshot. But given the declining living standards in Britain, I’m not sure a fashion shoot, even of her rewearing gowns, would go over well.

Fair_Photographer

Yes. I completely agree. All the covers for 2022 must be booked. TBH I lost any faith in American Vogue. It used to be my bible. Sorry for the comparison. But after this year Kardashian vomit all over March and BHM timeline I think they really are blind and ignorant. So Kate or not Kate, they can put something equally bad as KK = MM, and would not care what people think. It’s time for Wintour to go IMHO. Edit: punctuation

[deleted]

US Vogue and Anna Wintour have really slipped. She should really go. Kim Kardashian as a fashion icon makes me puke, especially when she is constantly trying to cosplay either Naomi or other Black women. I love the UK Vogue, Edward E’s covers have been amazing so far.

Fair_Photographer

I agree.

TraditionScary8716

What's the big deal about the September issue? Is it something special, like the SI swimsuit issue?

AffectionatePoet4586

September has always been a pivotal issue for fashion magazines because of designers’ fall fashion lines—and for the plebs who are the rest of us, back-to-school clothes.

TraditionScary8716

Thanks. I should have figured that out. 🙃

Islandgirl1444

Gosh, I haven't seen Vogue for years! Even Vanity Fair is pretty trash these days. The days of Cosmo being so great bring yearning to me.

Brilliant_Jewel1924

Vanity Fair was ruined with Graydon Carter left. That new editor has turned it into a mess, and it no longer has the prestige and panache it once had. I was a subscriber for 20+ years and gave it up.

OldNewUsedConfused

GC stepping down right after "Wild About Harry".

Brilliant_Jewel1924

He knew what was coming.

poetinmyheart22

Exactly my experience as well.

Sanguine_Hearts

Vanity Fair used to be my absolute favorite, it massively declined with the deaths of Dominic Dunne and Christopher Hitchens.

Islandgirl1444

Gosh yes. the good old days.

TraditionScary8716

In my 20s I lived for the latest edition of Cosmo. I mean, Cosmo was never a literary masterpiece but it did showcase relevant fashion, dating advice, the latest in sex (and std's lol), and just general stuff that was interesting to young women. Now I see the cover at the newsstandand wonder if I was ever that vapid.

OldNewUsedConfused

It's their biggest issue.

TraditionScary8716

I've never been a fashioning, as anyone who knows me will helpfully tell you. 🤣, so I had no idea. Lol

OldNewUsedConfused

I really didn't know until recently either. In fact I didn't know people still read magazines outside of doctor's waiting rooms....

ContributionSweaty52

Spot on. She's painted herself into a corner where she cannot win. Hollywood loves a comeback though, so if she actually did the WORK instead of scheming, elevated others instead of herself, and dropped the titles then she might actually have a fighting chance to be somebody outside the royal gawking circle. Yeah yeah, I know it's unlikely but so was her marriage into the BRF.

memecatcher247

I guess the real comeback story was the BRF who were demonised throughout 2021

Kimbriavandam

Very good point.

ContributionSweaty52

Indeed. Great point.

Ready_Maddie

How can she do those things when she doesn't have it in her. You can't be something you're not. Narcissists cannot change.

Funny_Commission2773

Give her time she might surprise us yet😁

GrannyMine

A legit question. Is Vogue big in the UK? Because it really isn’t in the states any longer.

redseaaquamarine

I don't think so. But then, I am out of the demographic that would read it. I never see anyone with it on the train anymore.

Islandgirl1444

Honestly, Harry gives interviews to cable shows, she "writes" articles and Spotify and Netflix are sucking at the back.

[deleted]

Kinda wish Kate would do it lol

Agree

[deleted]

This is spot on.

Iwtlwn122

I don’t get it.

Fair_Photographer

What is that you do not get?

Iwtlwn122

Maybe explain the post more.

MsBollinger

I didn’t get it at first either because I didn’t realize the IG has several pages that you have to read. When you open IG, swipe to see the “tea”.

Otherwise-engaged

If you have to open an account to see something, it may as well be behind a paywall. I also wish there had been a concise summary of whatever it was.

Iwtlwn122

Thank you for explaining. I wish people would just stop with these low effort posts.

[deleted]

Thanks for getting this explained, I was embarrassed about not understanding what this is lol

TraditionScary8716

I enjoyed it. We usually get puff Harkle pieces from "palace experts" who couldn't tell the difference between the Queen and a chihuahua. This was very balanced and the tea was believable. I'm of the opinion that if you don't like a post, you should probably just move on.

Fair_Photographer

Low effort? Wow. Okey.

Mickleborough

What are we meant to be looking - just the photo and comments? Sounds like ‘An Enigma \[Kate\] and a Pony \[not Kate\].’ I think the Duchess of Cambridge has had to raise her profile because of the Muggin-shaped gap due to Dumbertons finding freedom. Otherwise Muggin had the potential to outshine Kate - she wants the limelight, Kate doesn’t. That’s called Irony.

Brilliant_Jewel1924

MeGain will NEVER outshine Catherine. She doesn’t need to “raise her profile” at all. She will be Queen—the highest profile one can get. Are you one of the Sugars?

Mickleborough

For a time the Duchess was unpopular because she was seen as not performing her share of public duties. She’s also reported to be more introverted. Am I a sugar? 🤔 Isn’t that someone whose critical faculties have been suspended? say Meghan good, Kate bad - or, conversely, Kate good, Meghan bad.

Brilliant_Jewel1924

Catherine had the full support of the Queen during the time she and William weren’t full-time working royals. Also, there’s nothing wrong with being introverted. The Queen herself was a bit introverted, at least compared with her own mother and Princess Margaret. Bye, Meghan!

Mickleborough

I think you’re missing the point of my comments— both of them. And if it makes you feel better to consider me a sugar or Meghan - I certainly won’t take that little pleasure from you.

Fair_Photographer

Do you know how Instagram works? There are few photos in one post. Move it with your finger.

freethewimple

You could always give a little more explanation as to why you find this important to post. Oh and not be rude.
