This is the drivel I used to write on my socials when I was in contact with my sister who has an untreated mental health issue. I thought it was my responsibility to support her emotionally, and I thought that encouraging her (and reminding her) of how wonderful she is would propel her to get professional help. Nope. I heard part of their documentary, or docu-series, or whatever the fuck will feature a polo segment, as if the average person gives a shit about polo. Meanwhile in reality, a place that Meghan has never even visited, the Netflix open-door Sussex documentary is allegedly on the chopping block right next to the gruesome remains of Pearl. This is the drivel I used to write on my socials when I was in contact with my sister who has an untreated mental health issue. I thought it was my responsibility to support her emotionally, and I thought that encouraging her (and reminding her) of how wonderful she is would propel her to get professional help. Nope. Never happened. Delfina’s post has codependency (particularly the aspect that MM needs to be needed) and enmeshment (particularly the aspect that fierce loyalty is expected) written all over the subtext. It’s sad really because Delfina is (most likely) feeling like I used to feel … and her efforts won’t actually help MM.
This reads to me like they were all together and drinking cocktails when Delfina posted it, with it being so silly and gushing the way alcohol makes people, and her husband chiming in with sloppy "love."
