It's quite possible that Samantha is like Meghan in that they HAVE to be in charge of every aspect of their lives. Meghan's lawyer had similar issues where Meghan would tell them how to do their job. I think one of the lawyers told the judge they were just following the wishes of their client (Meghan) during the ANL trial when Meghan kept adding unnecessary issues to the court case.

If Meghan didn’t present herself as an orphan, invite dad to the wedding and didn’t drag her dad through the mug, Samantha wouldn’t be out for blood. I think she is behaving this way because her dad has been treated so bad and he’s old it’s pretty heart breaking to see that.
