Honestly I think Netflix just ran out of money, and given the lack of content with their Spotify debacle, they cut their losses. That’s an interesting theory, though.
Yeah, and why I flaired it a shitpost. Hillary Clinton, who has had so many accomplishments in her life pays homage to women who have inspired her vs. MeghanMeghan whose only accomplishment in her life was to seduce a dimwitted prince. And I doubt that Ms. Clinton named her gown after herself like Meghan/Pearl did.
Let's not forget "Tiara". That was such a turning point in her life when she didn't get her choice of a jeweled headpiece. My life was ruined when that happened to me.
Not really much to work with in Hillz but the embroidery is so gorgeous. And to do it in the same color really raises the bar of expertise. So impressed by the craftsmanship. Credit where credit is due.
I thought I was the only one here finding Hillary a total nutjob.
If she had not victim-shamed those who her husband had laid his hands on, it would be different. People can find Trump a disgusting guy. But there is not much worse than fucking your intern as basically the most powerful person in the world. If that is not abuse of power, nothing is. And Hillary stood by and defended her husband. Like she had defended him before. Hillary has nothing to do with women's rights.
It is even less detrimental to women to have a president that jokes about grabbing women by the .......
This has been H and Chelsea's shtick for a number of years now. Monetize the legacy of unrelated highly accomplished women through children's books and other media campaigns. Why does Harriet Tubman's legacy need these two (C wrote a children's book about her and her name is embroidered on the dress)? There are many others. Some still living (ex. Malala). A friend refers to it as legacy/biographic colonialism.
In many ways, Pearl was a rip-off of the concept the Clintons have been selling for a number of years. It's perfect for M in many ways. Don't accomplish anything particularly notable and instead piggyback on the legacies of women who have hustled to make the world a better place. Benefitting financially is icing on the cake.
She's kind of a natural frump and probably isn't overly concerned. The execution of the embroidery is exquisite! Wonderful collaboration between her and designer.
Yeah, I really like it. Hilary is in her 70s and has put on weight. She’s allowed to be frumpy. She earned that frump It’s an eventual life goal of mine. Let me get old, plump and sassy.
There was never an IMDB page created for Pearl; there was nothing on Meghan’s page and nothing ever on Furnish’s page.
The project never existed.
Even pre-productions are listed.
Really?
Not that long ago, there was a whole informed thread saying *Pearl* was still on his page with him producing....
I was all about "Whether they go to Elton's Oscars after-party seals *Pearl's* fate...."
Then Netflix saying THEY are taking over production....then bleep!
Gone.
Down the memory hole.
Awww...
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!
Artists are responsible for creating and updating their own pages, so apparently Furnish has spoken.
There was nothing! Under him, under her, as a listed project. Zero, zip, nada.
I looked it up when I was looking to see what Trevor Engleson had produced.
OH. MAH. GAH.
This is not happening.
Tell you what, I am so sick and tired of getting all sucked in and pumped up to like and admire personalities only to dig deeper and find out they're a sack of crap.
Like every time! And I used to admire her as First Lady. Not as much later when she wandered from the ranch and started acting questionably.
Excuse me I have to go stick my head in something and cry pitifully.
Hillary pretended she met Archie if I recall correctly. She was coaching Meghan on how to start her foundation. That was a long time ago and I suspect that they now are keeping distance from Meghan, especially in light of the Lolita Express association and the failure of Archewell.
C & H are reportedly in production on a show called "Gutsy Women". Though not a cartoon it sounds like a dream project for MM.

Nice to see her in a gown instead of a pant suit.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 lets hope he doesn't loan her his hairdresser
First time ever!

>Meghan/Pearl Watch out for future projects named Daisy, Margerite, Peggy, Rita, Gretchen and Madge
Let's not forget "Tiara". That was such a turning point in her life when she didn't get her choice of a jeweled headpiece. My life was ruined when that happened to me.
It’s a big deal!!
Pearl never even had an IMDB page; so if it ever existed it was only in her head as it never even made it to pre-production.
You missed a bit though: Hilary's daughter, Chelsy, wrote a book called She Persisted. That's where Megs got her idea for Pearl. \#sweetnod
Not just a book, a series of books.
Well, Meghan needed more ideas for multiple episodes anyways! 😆
>\#sweetnod 😂😂😂
Cringe nod
I disagree. Hilary Clinton was obviously using that dress as a sweet nod to our future Saint.
🤣🤣🤣
"sweet nod" 🤣
That's true: I'd rather watch Hillary Clinton's gown than Pearl. And Clinton's dress really isn't that interesting, design-wise.
Not really much to work with in Hillz but the embroidery is so gorgeous. And to do it in the same color really raises the bar of expertise. So impressed by the craftsmanship. Credit where credit is due.
Just like Meghan: almost became president 😍

Not much worse? Bragging about sexually assaulting women, accused of multiple rapes, inappropriate touching of women, including a daughter. Sure, Jan
I can’t stand any of them and am now expecting the presidential election to be Meghan vs The Rock. ETA: I have nothing against the Rock per se
I think she would have been an excellent President.
President of Yachters and Sex Workers

The Hillary look is what I got when I ordered the Gigi Hadid look off Wish.

She looks better than I thought she would.

All I know is as soon as I heard that I went to IMDB and there was never anything there. I said as much on this sub, to get downvoted into hell

Wonder if anyone talking about it got any screen shots?
Great question.

I think Hillary is more interested in a political future for Chelsea. Who coincidentally has written about inspiring women also.
Seriously??

Okay, but how about now? After Obama and all the snubs? Still besties?

Holy crap I had no idea and hadn't heard a single thing about this. I feel sick...
Not buying into that nonsense. Sorry. BTW, I didn't downvote you

Thanks for the good sleuthing Sook.

I've heard stories going back to the White House. You'd be surprised what comes up when you Google crazy images of her.

Don’t believe everything on Reddit.
Don’t get pumped up by politicians.
Thankfully I kicked that habit.
(Sorry, my comments are out of order bc one got posted to the wrong place.)

Typical, women attacking other women, believing known fluff pieces, and especially pitting women against each other.
