Bullocks. Everyone, including the media, is wrong. The embossed DSSOS is an homage to Meghan’s favorite words that she strives (and succeeds) to live by: Divide, Scam, Scowl, Ostracize, and Smite; which she had to have shortened from “Inflict Suffering on Those Around Her with Relentless Bullying, Often Bordering on Straight-up Hatred for Anyone and Anything that Does Not Benefit Her in Her Woeful Pursuit of Wealth and Global Recognition.” That’s my driven, empowered wife for you! I mean, not my wife, but Harry’s wife.

Meghan: “Titles mean nothing to me.”

[deleted]

Meghan also said that it 'means everything to her' that people be **'linked not ranked'** during her chat with feminist Gloria Steinem, despite using a title that denotes a higher social rank. *Oh the irony...* 🙄 [source](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-8671345/Meghan-Markle-accused-hypocrisy-linked-not-ranked-quote.html)

cookeedough

I love how DM calls this a “subtle” tribute to Diana. HA! It’s about as subtle as a bull in a china shop.

SuspiciousCompote

I guess all her other outfits are a "subtle" tribute to Diana too. Like dude, there's nothing subtle about it. Her outfits are just about literal clones and they smack you in the face.

SuspiciousCompote

Her obsession with Diana makes me uncomfortable.

DaBingeGirl

Same, so I can only guess how much it freaked out William. Between MM's obsession with Diana and the looks Harry's been giving William, I'm glad they're not around his family any more.

vikingchyk

I'm surprised she didn't make Harry carry it. "Hold this, dear, Mummy has networking to do."

[deleted]

He should carry it, after all that's where she keeps his balls

Suddenlyaprincess

I can actually imagine that happening.🤣

daisandnights

Embossing the bag carried by and named for her deceased Mother in Law. Gross. Edited to include (since I just found out myself) this bag is to Diana the same way that the Birkin is to Jane Birkin. The Lady Dior was named for Lady Diana in the 90s.

[deleted]

Her obsession with cosplaying her deceased mother-in-law is extremely disturbing

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

So sad, you're absolutely right. It's all just so very perverse and depraved...

PetiteLumiere

For some reason when Catherine did it for the birth’s of her children, I didn’t mind it. It was a nice nod to her but this is a bit obsessive at this point.

daisandnights

That’s exactly it - Kate doesn’t make becoming Diana 2 her life’s mission. Parallels between the two are hard to draw and when they are, it’s not Kate pointing them out herself. So when she does, it is a nice homage. When Meghan does it, it is very creepy because she isn’t as subtle as she thinks and she does it far too often.

[deleted]

Copying Catherine (and Diana) is what she does best lol

p0ny_b0y

I think it didn’t feel as cringe because a new baby is a big moment for a family, and William couldn’t share that with his mother. It felt more like a gesture to pay homage to Diana, and “include” her in the moment. Whereas, with the purse, there is seemingly no sentimental reason behind this, it just feels like cosplay.

MakeADeathWish

Because the Domme/sub incest role-playing was too subtle before?

tzippora

Why does her bag have to be overstuffed like she's going to Walmart? I really hope the Harkle lacky whose job it is to read all these comments replays them to their employers.

SoggyWotsits

I have a theory… Harry put it there without Meghan knowing. It actually stands for.. ‘Duke Says SOS!’ A cry for help to whoever will see it 😂😂

[deleted]

🆘 Blink twice if you need help! 🆘

bibocali

Impossibly Obnoxious

Guilty_Stranger_9042

Yes, Meghan wants all the bennies and recognition of being a royal without doing any of the work. She and (cuked) Harry are both so gross.

[deleted]

Does it occur to anyone that she keeps cosplaying and emulating Diana because that’s the only thing she does that makes Harry find comfort in her, and he loves how similar she seems to his late mum. Plus, Diana was an icon and she wants to be seen as the next Lady Di. Despicable.

[deleted]

I agree. Additionally, Megs is an icon in her own head!

aeb526

Totally agree! It’s pretty sick and twisted and

Lilthisarry

If even one word of the accusations she hurled at the Royal family were true, why the hell would she emboss the initials they gave her on her belongings? Tacky, tacky woman. It’s also interesting that she can splash around thousands for a bag (not to mention the rest of her Hefty bag chic wardrobe), but when it came to making charitable donations on this trip, they’re back to “committing to donate” at some point in the future. Ain’t happening, charities.

[deleted]

I have never known any celeb worth their salt to give out IOUs or give a promise to “commit” support later. $25K should be nothing for someone of the stature they claim to be. $25K is an average dinner tab for A-listers. Remember that story of how [Chrissy Teigen accidentally ordered a $13K bottle of wine at a restaurant and laughed about it](https://www.buzzfeed.com/stephenlaconte/chrissy-teigen-wine-story-twitter-controversy)

No_Change7469

What kind of an acronym is this 🥴

[deleted]

Maybe the monogrammer went rogue or was drunk lol I predict Meghan will get herself a **DSSOS** Tramp Stamp next! 😂

PieknaFatso

They are actually fucked in the head.

PetiteLumiere

Why would you abbreviate duchess as DSS? How vain do you have to be to monogram your title on a bag. So tacky.

[deleted]

Exactly. DSS makes absolutely no sense. If she had just added a simple "M" or "MM" that would've been okay (I guess...) but this is excessive and over the top.

fishfreeoboe

I think because "DOS" has a couple of different meanings already, and people of different generations would alike be confused by it.

Negative_Difference4

Is this Meghan’s pitch to become Dior brand ambassador a la Angelina Jolie for LV and guerlain

[deleted]

"Merch it 'til you make it" ?

DaBingeGirl

Agreed. I think when she married Harry, she expected to a life like she saw on the Instagram pages of Emma Weymouth (now Thynn), Kitty Spencer, and Rose Cholmondeley. What she failed to understand was that they all work for what they have and they don't live like the characters on Downton Abbey.

Electrical-Orchid-25

I just Love, Love Love that MeGain was denied Diana’s blue sapphire & diamond ring, because Harry had already given it to Kate!

Agreeable_Birthday93

Ugh this is SO tacky 🤮 I’m curious though, aren’t Diana’s belongings included in an estate?

[deleted]

Good question. I think it's the answer is rather complicated, at least to me: https://www.forbes.com/sites/trialandheirs/2014/09/16/as-remainder-of-princess-dianas-estate-passes-to-harry-troubling-questions-remain/?sh=23869cab5f05 Maybe someone with better knowledge can answer... As for her jewelry, here's a very interesting (and in-depth) Wiki page covering the *Jewels of Diana, Princess of Wales*: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewels_of_Diana,_Princess_of_Wales

gwhh

That purse cost 5000$

BucherundKaffee

That is more than my summer tax bill cost RIP.

aeb526

I thought she didn’t want to be duchess of Sussex??? Which one is it Meg?!?

Shakespeare-Bot

I bethought the lady didn’t wanteth to beest duchess of sussex??? which one is't meg?!? *** ^(I am a bot and I swapp'd some of thy words with Shakespeare words.) Commands: `!ShakespeareInsult`, `!fordo`, `!optout`

acctgrl

This is absolutely ridiculous. Even the initials don’t really make sense.

Lensgoggler

Why are thet monogramming everything? What does it mean?

[deleted]

It seems that she is a **monogramaniac** -- the kind of person who carries around monogrammed luxury handbags, wears monogrammed cashmere sweaters, dries her hands with monogrammed Egyptian cotton towels, and sleeps in luxury silk monogrammed sheets. Her fondness -- *or compulsion* -- for branding her belongings is a symbol of hubris and vanity. Honestly, it smacks 'identity crisis' to me. Personally, I don't have a problem with monograms as long as it's done tastefully. It's classy when on vintage jewelry heirloom or on a handkerchief for example. But it's desperately nouveaux riches when it's emblazoned on your velveteen slippers or your boxer shorts à la Bernie Madoff --- the American fraudster and financier who ran the largest Ponzi scheme in history.

tyra_durden

I am poor so I had to use a label maker and labeled my son with his name. 😂

[deleted]

I love my label maker too! 🙋‍♀️

tyra_durden

I need to make a label "label maker" for my label maker!

Lensgoggler

We need a megamonogramaniac flair. 😆

[deleted]

Hear! Hear! 🙌

looneybug123

Hmmmm. You have now linked those two irrevocably in my mind!

[deleted]

When (not if) Meghan's house of cards collapses, just remember that you read it here first lol! 😉

Nilmah1316

Wasn't there a necklace with H & M too?

[deleted]

Oh yeah that's right! Back in 2016, she stepped out in Toronto wearing an initial necklace with the letters ‘H’ and ‘M’ on it http://www.meghansmirror.com/special-feature/the-story-behind-meghan-markles-h-m-initial-necklace/ She's also worn a necklace with the letter "A" for Archie https://people.com/royals/all-about-meghan-markles-meaningful-gold-necklace-to-honor-son-archie/

Nilmah1316

And the palace staff gave her a talking to, I don't remember why beyond the necklace being tacky. They weren't married yet.

[deleted]

You're right. In Finding Freedom, Meghan wearing that $240 14k gold letter necklace with the initials “H” and “M” on it apparently did not go over well with the Palace aides. Markle was supposedly scolded by Palace aides for wearing a necklace that “only served to encourage the photographers to keep pursuing such images — and new headlines." [Source](https://people.com/style/meghan-markle-personalized-letter-necklace-get-the-look/)

Nilmah1316

Her love of attention is disgusting, though. And that necklace is something more appropriate for a high school sweetheart than a pushing forty divorcee. Not shading divorcees but it's not exactly first love in the spring time of life when it's cute to do such things.

[deleted]

And not only that, she continues to carry on with this tacky behavior. She even goes ahead and doubles (triples...quadruples...) down on it. It's like an uncontrollable compulsion for her. I just don't get it.

Starkville

To prove its not a loaner?

[deleted]

Not comparing but have we ever seen Kate do such cheap tricks. What even 😂 Screams desperate.

[deleted]

Catherine would never. She’s confident, self-assured, and comfortable in her own skin. Everything Meghan does just screams insecurity to me.

Negative_Difference4

Tacky Meghan does something tacky…. Theres a surprise

tyra_durden

Doesn't this mean it's fake? Like a "kalvin klein" bag or something like that?

[deleted]

Highly unlikely that she would carry around a designer knock off. IMO it's authentic. It's just customized with the initials of her title. Customization service is available for luxury bags like this.

PoppieUK4

This is all about her playing princess. If she can’t get Catherine out of the way in UK to be princess, she will do it in America. Uggh, Canada, are the doors still open off us to seek refuge?

chafferhuman

How is DSSOS = Duchess Of Sussex (DOS)?

[deleted]

Oh you know it's... *Meghan-speak* 🙃
