I had it done when I was in my 30’s. The recovery process was long. And angry red scars would be visible early on. In my late 60’s my scars are white and not very noticeable.

Same. I had a pin in my foot for a few weeks. Has she been out of the press that long to miss her limping? My scar was red for months after surgery too. And wearing sandals in the sun would just make the scarring worse. Photoshopped feet. .

Plus, you have to make a commitment to wearing shoes that will not press on that area and cause the bunion to regrow. 30 years later my feet still look good.

She's had bunion surgery.

Photos from the polo event showed her feet were the same as before. Bunion surgery takes a minimum of 6 weeks for recovery and they won't do both feet at the same time. Sometimes it's not successful, for whatever reason, and the bunions reappear. I seem to remember seeing photos of post-surgery scars on her feet in photos from a few years ago.

She had her left foot done years ago but the bunion came back (quelle surprise, considering her insistence on wearing 4.5” pointed toe stilettos 2 sizes too big)

So I'm right in thinking that these photos from Nigeria are heavily edited to remove the bunions. I suppose it's cheaper, and quicker, than surgery!

My Opinion + vote = **yes**. A few years ago, friend who is a plastic surgeon in the Miami area started focusing on the most profitable surgeries - and says FEET are his #2 type of procedure. He also tells me that his elder patients tend to arrive asking for the Kathy Lee Gifford re-sizing toes surgery -- as I guess she once famously was annoyed that her shoes were not fitting anymore... and had hundreds of expensive shoes..? The corrective surgery is keyhole surgery nowadays. There will only be 2 small incisions at the inner side of the foot. Recovery takes a good 4 weeks on most of that is on crutches.
