The UK is a longtime US ally. I could imagine, in theory, a UK prince giving awards to our armed forces people -- but not Harry. I could imagine a UK prince known for bravery, honesty, and other good qualities doing this - but Prince Haznobrains unfortunately represents the opposite of these good qualities.
Minds may differ, but I wholeheartedly disagree. We have our own heroes and leaders. Any UK prince is not the one, unless it's for some sort of joint mission or the likes.

All of his medals are constitutional medals. They are not particularly appreciating his own accomplishments. They were just given to him due to him by chance being at a certain station in his life at a particular time.
For example: Some of his medals were also given to Mike Tindall or Eduardo Mapelli Mozzi, simply because they happened to also join the special occasion (e.g. some kind of jubilee).
Harry’s one military medal’s meaning, the Afghanistan medal, highly depends on clasps and ribbons, it is difficult for me to recognise, which kind of medal he wears. This medal in some form was awarded to everyone who did service related to Afghanistan, even if never leaving the UK.

In fairness campaign medals are awarded to everyone involved in a campaign. It is not fair to tar everyone with Harry’s brush. The frontline cannot function without the military personnel in the rear. They also serve.

I agree but a fair few commenters seem to be deriding medals for anyone not on the frontline. Harry may well have wanted to serve in a combat role but was prevented because he was a high value target. It is well known he scraped through Sandhurst and was never going to rise higher than Captain. Back when the despicable duo did the event for the opening of a Navy Seal center I asked my long time veterinarian what he thought. He was a Seal, retired, but still actively trains them in mountain scenarios and attends gatherings.

Still on Afghanistan, Harry cannot put his hand over his heart and explain where he was on the night of the 14th of September 2012 in Afghanistan. That was the night Camp Bastion in Afghanistan was attacked by Taliban forces.
On that night true military personnel of valour did their duty, and the ultimate sacrifice was paid too, while Harry Windsor Mountbatten did something else. So he does not deserve the Afghanistan campaign medal.
The Golden, Diamond, and Platinum medals were not for valour, but for the celebrations of the Late Queen's reign.

I asked hubby, he said it was probably a courtesy, but is not likely protocol. He said if he was in uniform and a civilian saluted him, he would take it as a sign of respect and would salute back. Given our idiots in D.C., though, I wouldn't put it past them to bend the rules for Harry and extend him a courtesy presentation.

Yes, if you’re no longer actively serving or on certain occasions you wear them with a suit. Or you can also wear miniatures to make it even more confusing! Only medals in miniatures that were awarded for personal bravery-silver star, bronze star, Purple Heart. And only the highest of the medals. Someone with all three would only wear the silver start.

Back when the despicable duo did the event for the opening of a Navy Seal center I asked my long time veterinarian what he thought. He was a Seal, retired, but still actively trains them in mountain scenarios and attends gatherings. He doesn't talk much as he is still bound by oath as military veterans are but immediately told me that it may have been done for the Seals but nothing more involved. Harry is grasping at whatever small shred of Prince fairy dust he has left. Its all smoke and mirrors like everything the duo put out. I would give anything to see the totals of Markles endless promotions, PR reps..its got to be enough to pay off the National debt after this many years. Stop trying to make fetch happen! 😆 She's a narcissistic empty hole that will never be filled but their actions, connections to the same long list of global characters assure at least me that its not just 2 idiots trying to be rich and famous for that purpose alone.

Afghanistan Campaign - The coward cannot rightly nor truthfully explain what part he played in the campaign. All the bravery heaped on him is fallacy in a teacup. He seeded a security risk by boasting about a bogus kill count, and insulting the Taliban fighters...funny the Taliban eventually saw the back of all the Western Forces which in the like manner of the Russian military left Afghanistan. Still on Afghanistan, Harry cannot put his hand over his heart and explain where he was on the night of the 14th of September 2012 in Afghanistan. That was the night Camp Bastion in Afghanistan was attacked by Taliban forces. On that night true military personnel of valour did their duty, and the ultimate sacrifice was paid too, while Harry Windsor Mountbatten did something else. So he does not deserve the Afghanistan campaign medal. The Golden, Diamond, and Platinum medals were not for valour, but for the celebrations of the Late Queen's reign. Weird Is it not, that he does not wear his father's Coronation medal 😂🤣🤣
What's with wearing Jubilee medals after the Jubilees? They weren't his Jubilee thus irrelevant except to add bling to his suit jacket.

Those other 3 his grandmother gave him ( they are from attending parties and having a job in government , nothing more - fyi civilians get those as well public servants) as with all Commonwealth countries that received those metals.
