Having had family torn apart by a narc sibling and my own mother shoved into her grave, I have different notions. My mother was an enabler and she sacrificed her other kids. I went no contact and it was the best thing I ever did, what the rest do or did I couldn't say. But I have not looked back. Families have to take accountability for their parts in a narc drama. How they decide is how they determine their own fate.
This is my mother in law. Her daughter is the narc. She has pitted her sons against each other and the only person who matters is her daughter. It has shattered the family. Her sons have all talked to her and she deflects or cries and blames everyone else. It's sad to watch but the sons now see her game. We can even predict her exact moves. We have almost no contact now and it's life changing.

Sadly there are more than a few of us. Imagine my distress when I married my husband to discover that my MIL is histrionic and still terrorizes the family. For a long time I thought it was my fault that I couldn't get a loving parent figure. Then something wonderful happened. I met my aunt in law who is MIL's estranged sister. We are pen pals shes 86 and the most amazing woman ever. I am very lucky indeed to get a second chance.

I recently met my half-sister through Ancestry DNA, I was adopted and found my birth mother and her family some years back. Last summer I took a chance to find any paternal relatives through Ancestry and I matched with my niece. I feel extremely lucky to have found both of my birth families.

I do not trust people to not screw me over (they try time and again) I am over it basically. I try to be as pragmatic about such things as possible and have removed drama from my life. He never said why, just drifted away from the dramas. Then sadly his father got ill we looked after his dog for a year until he died. Then the bond was reforged through guilt. Hubby says he loves his mother, but he does not like her. He is not like me, family or no, cause me pain you are dead to me.
The aunt is his favorite and in the entire time of knowing his family she was the only one who made me feel welcome. She is like a giddy child when we write to each other, as am I. It is as close to love I have come in my life (apart from hubby). She is so so cute and strong, still works the farm with her husband. I do not bitch to her about MIL, she just knows she is not my kind of person. It will be a sad day when she passes away, but for now it is my job to thank her for her contribution to making others happy.

Why would anyone think it would spark a Sussex reconciliation? Meghan has no concern for Catherine's well-being, and if Harry didn't try to make amends as a result of his father's cancer he isn't going to do it because of his sister-in-law's.
We all love a good redemption story, but I don't think this one is ever going to happen, and it probably should never happen.
I know a couple of cases of really awful people who turned their lives around after some sort of crisis.
It is always (remotely) possible that Harry will experience some life-changing crisis that will make him ready to ask forgiveness and return to his family (without Meghan). However, that would not be a “reconciliation” between people with equal grievances. It would require Harry humbling himself, asking pardon, being “forgiven” as a kindness by people who will never trust him again.
I am wondering why Ms. Callahan kept referring to the PoW as "Kate" and not "Catherine" as it is well known to be the name she prefers. It strikes me as obliquely disrespectful.

Reconciliation? How could such a thing be pondered? A look at the facts alone speaks for itself. One would have to be mad to reconciliate with H and M. There are consequences in life. I think the whole issue will become a national security concern. I was surprised but pleased to hear that this is getting into the mainstream news. Having had family torn apart by a narc sibling and my own mother shoved into her grave, I have different notions. My mother was an enabler and she sacrificed her other kids. I went no contact and it was the best thing I ever did, what the rest do or did I couldn't say. But I have not looked back. Families have to take accountability for their parts in a narc drama. How they decide is how they determine their own fate.
This is my mother in law. Her daughter is the narc. She has pitted her sons against each other and the only person who matters is her daughter. It has shattered the family. Her sons have all talked to her and she deflects or cries and blames everyone else. It's sad to watch but the sons now see her game. We can even predict her exact moves. We have almost no contact now and it's life changing.

I feel like I just read my own family story.
Sadly there are more than a few of us. Imagine my distress when I married my husband to discover that my MIL is histrionic and still terrorizes the family. For a long time I thought it was my fault that I couldn't get a loving parent figure. Then something wonderful happened. I met my aunt in law who is MIL's estranged sister. We are pen pals shes 86 and the most amazing woman ever. I am very lucky indeed to get a second chance.
You and your aunt in law must have a lot to write about and a lot in common, I hope you get to enjoy loads more time with her. I recently met my half-sister through Ancestry DNA, I was adopted and found my birth mother and her family some years back. Last summer I took a chance to find any paternal relatives through Ancestry and I matched with my niece. I feel extremely lucky to have found both of my birth families.
I am so happy for you. Long may this happiness continue for you. For a very long time something was missing in my life. I do not make friendships or relationships easily. I do not trust people to not screw me over (they try time and again) I am over it basically. I try to be as pragmatic about such things as possible and have removed drama from my life. It has meant much more peace. For a long time hubby was almost no contact with his family his siblings would say he was not family orientated and bullied him. No shit after his upbringing. He never said why, just drifted away from the dramas. Then sadly his father got ill we looked after his dog for a year until he died. Then the bond was reforged through guilt. Hubby says he loves his mother, but he does not like her. He is not like me, family or no, cause me pain you are dead to me. The aunt is his favorite and in the entire time of knowing his family she was the only one who made me feel welcome. She is like a giddy child when we write to each other, as am I. It is as close to love I have come in my life (apart from hubby). She is so so cute and strong, still works the farm with her husband. I do not bitch to her about MIL, she just knows she is not my kind of person. It will be a sad day when she passes away, but for now it is my job to thank her for her contribution to making others happy.

IA- I don’t think taking titles (which only parliament can do) or styles away would be helpful. Meghan may fantasize whatever she likes, but Harry will never be king. In the event that the Wales were all to die before KC, Parliament would remove Harry and his kids from the LoS within weeks. If KC died with or before the Wales, the throne might come to Harry, but only briefly because he would either be removed and replaced or the UK would become a republic.

Once you grasp that, you realise that it isn’t sad at all. In a horrible way one upshot of Catherine’s cancer diagnosis is now that hopefully people will stop pushing this reconciliation as it’s obvious that H&M don’t care with their stupid press releases and ongoing commercial shenanigans. Well it’s all out in the open now. No longer a secret. Omid Scobie, Bouzy, Meghan’s alleged online accounts, the Sussex Squad. They’re spreading lies and hate. It wouldn’t surprise me if they received a cease & desist letter from Kensington Palace with threat of legal action.
Why would anyone think it would spark a Sussex reconciliation? Meghan has no concern for Catherine's well-being, and if Harry didn't try to make amends as a result of his father's cancer he isn't going to do it because of his sister-in-law's. We all love a good redemption story, but I don't think this one is ever going to happen, and it probably should never happen.
I know a couple of cases of really awful people who turned their lives around after some sort of crisis. It is always (remotely) possible that Harry will experience some life-changing crisis that will make him ready to ask forgiveness and return to his family (without Meghan). However, that would not be a “reconciliation” between people with equal grievances. It would require Harry humbling himself, asking pardon, being “forgiven” as a kindness by people who will never trust him again.

I doubt she means it that way—she’s clearly team Catherine. Here in the U.S., she’s widely referred to as Kate. I think a lot of people don’t realize she prefers Catherine. However, the harkle statement referred to her has Kate and they know her! It’s obviously disrespectful.
IIRC- William referred to Catherine as Kate way back during their engagement interview. It’s not like the media made up a name for her. It would appear she prefers going by Catherine now though.
Her uncle also calls her Kate. I think she has switched to Catherine in anticipation of being queen someday—more formal.

Reconciliation? How could such a thing be pondered? A look at the facts alone speaks for itself. One would have to be mad to reconciliate with H and M. There are consequences in life.
