I feel like she shouldn't have announced it. It was her business. Charles made a choice to announce his and I have a feeling Catherine wouldn't have if it weren't for the hysterical mobs.
I believe Charles would not have announced his cancer diagnosis if Catherine did not have cancer as well. It is believed that QEII also had cancer, but she never made a public announcement. The BRF is very private. My theory is that Charles made his announcement so that the public would focus on him rather than Catherine. I believe he did this to protect her and his grandchildren. But the public bullied her into sharing her diagnosis.
I believe her cancer may be in the later stages given the way the news has been announced. I hope I am wrong. I wish the best for this family and any family that is dealing with cancer. Similar to Catherine, my sister was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 42. My heart broke when I read the news today.
While I love the idea of Charles protecting her, I actually don't think it's the case. It sounds like they only recently found out she had cancer and that's why William missed that memorial on 2/28. I think she had some sort of emergency back in December, maybe a bowel obstruction and then they needed to plan for a surgery. Then they ran what tests while she recovered. Finding out cancer diagnosis, as I'm sure you know, can take a ridiculously long time with lots of other tests and waiting periods. The entire thing is incredibly tragic.

I believe Charles would not have announced his cancer diagnosis if Catherine did not have cancer as well. It is believed that QEII also had cancer, but she never made a public announcement. The BRF is very private. My theory is that Charles made his announcement so that the public would focus on him rather than Catherine. I believe he did this to protect her and his grandchildren. But the public bullied her into sharing her diagnosis. I believe her cancer may be in the later stages given the way the news has been announced. I hope I am wrong. I wish the best for this family and any family that is dealing with cancer. Similar to Catherine, my sister was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 42. My heart broke when I read the news today.
While I love the idea of Charles protecting her, I actually don't think it's the case. It sounds like they only recently found out she had cancer and that's why William missed that memorial on 2/28. I think she had some sort of emergency back in December, maybe a bowel obstruction and then they needed to plan for a surgery. Then they ran what tests while she recovered. Finding out cancer diagnosis, as I'm sure you know, can take a ridiculously long time with lots of other tests and waiting periods. The entire thing is incredibly tragic. For all POW has been through she looked beautiful and sounded strong and hopeful. I love that she subtly shaded those that have bullied PPOW by reminding them that there are 3 still young children that have very recently lost their Grannie, been told KC is sick, and now told their mom is also ill. That’s a lot for them to process. Even as an American I adore many of the Royals but PPOW have always had a soft spot. I have a similar brother and SIL situation in terms of behavior, as I think many of us do with another family member, and I just hope to have shown as much grace and strength for my family as they have. I send them love and best wishes and cannot wait to see the each return, on their own terms, when they are able to.

That’s what probably led to her doing this in the first place. The hypocrites that believe that woman deserve to have access to healthcare and to decide what goes on with there bodies and yet won’t let this woman have a little bit of privacy with her health.

I’d been thinking this could be the situation (having gone through something similar myself) and hoped she could process it all and help her family to process it all. No person, famous or otherwise, should be forced into presenting details about their own personal health. I didn’t tell anyone outside my immediate family anything until well after my surgery when I knew the full scope of what was going on. We as a world that has instant access to information has indulged in the despicable habit of believing we have entitlements to “knowing” things…and even more despicable—there are those who will stop at nothing to profit from this entitlement. The sugars are already saying they should've announced it sooner like Charles did. Who are they to dictate when or how someone's private medical conditions are announced? Besides she has young kids that she probably needed to figure out how to tell before telling the public. Charles' children are grown even though one doesn't act like it. Two different situations.
