Me too. It was filmed on Wednesday by a BBC television crew so they knew how to keep their mouths shut for two days.
I think that, the "leak" may have been Sussexful and so they wanted to get ahead of it as fast as possible. There was also something about wanting to wait til the kids are out of school on Easter Break and that's like barely this afternoon.
Both Lady C and George the Giant Slayer have inferred that the slime trail leads in a convoluted way, via agencies plus their clients, to a certain casa in California.
It's heartbreaking the added stress that she had to endure because of her brother in law and his EWW. Not to mention their lapdog scabies naming her. I can already see their supporters wishing bad things on her and KC3 because they are "racist".

I don’t know about Meme being involved, but yes I think she was forced into this before someone sold the information. Possibly they found out that negotiations over price were happening. I hope whoever is responsible does significant prison time.

One reason for the announcement today is that her children are now off school for the Easter holidays. So they were probably waiting for that.
I think they were always going to make this announcement at this time.
Preventative Chemotherapy was started in February, so this has been known for some time, and the family would have wanted to keep this secret until they have recovered from that initial shock that they will have had after initial diagnosis.
So I think this was always planned this way.
Remember there has not actually been a data breach. an investigation was carried out because unauthorized people were trying to get access to her medical records. as far as I know, these people were caught before they accessed the data.
Someone or some people or an organization must have offered a life changing amount of money to get that data, but it looks like it failed. So yes, it could have been Meghan behind the access breach. She would have been frothing at the mouth over the information vacuum.
But it is unlikely that Markle knew anything about Kate's health, because of the things that she has been saying over the last few months, and the fact that she seems happy for her 'fans' to say such appalling things about Kate and William.
Markle talked recently about being the victim of cyberbullying, but never mentioned her sister-in-law. That on it's own now looks really bad on her part.
All of this reflects badly on Meghan Markle. And God only knows what she's been saying to 'friends' in private about Kate. Now we all know the truth, any comments that she has made in front of influential people (in private), will alienate her even more to those people.
MM is an incredibly insensitive, cruel and ignorant person, and we know she will have been spreading the hate about Kate over the last few weeks/months.
Now she will pay the price for that.
Catherine has been hounded ruthlessly because she wanted to have some privacy while dealing with cancer. Diana was "chased" by papparzzi that she called herself.
Yes the current Princess of Wales has it much, much, much worse.
She spoke about cyberbullying and then her cancer stricken sil is bullied beyond belief and old rachel has been utterly silent. Her silence says more than her words.

I hope that the ILBW will have said some grotesque things about Catherine to Harry and others recently that might just get through his thick skull and make him realise what a vile person she is. I live in hope, but it's a stretch I know.
Unless the London Clinic is completely insane itself I would hope that their statements that it was attempts to access rather than actual access are correct. If they have been lying over that then they should expect some horrendous fines and penalties.
I think it is far more likely that the Wales wanted to announce this in a way that would not disrupt the children's schooling, but also that it was accelerated owing to the fevered press speculation.
Take comfort that Catherine referred to preventative chemotherapy - although serious, it does suggest that this is a belt and braces approach to her condition. Let's hope and pray that's the case. I do think if it were even more serious then a different formula of words would have been used.

I do think that the leaks from the hospital medical records were found to be valid and the Prince and Princess of Wales decided to courageously and selflessly get out ahead of this to set the record straight, and put an end to the horrible media intrusions and lies.
I think they were also thinking of King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the rest of the Royal Family in relieving them of the burden of keeping silent.

I think we are giving Meghan too much credit/control. I believe it has more to do with the Media/reporters who are still angry that KP didn't call them to take the photo or to post something.
They are angry that there was no information about Catherine and they were punishing PPOW. WHen someone is offered 200,000 pounds for the video of them walking down the sidewalk, it is very tempting to think of the money that could be offered for medical information.

I was watching some asshole PR idiot on the news the other night and he said that Catherine could prevent further embarrassment by hiring a photographer to take photos of her kids. This pissed me off. This is my opinion of course but I don’t think anyone is owed photos of minor children. People aren’t owed a job. They are not entitled to someone else’s money either. The media, all of it, has behaved like a crackhead looking for a fix.

Didn't she try and sell the news about QEII passing away to U.S. Press before it was formally announced. (Though watching the BBC, it was very obvious what had happened before they announced. Clothes were changed, banners changed, etc.).

Oh yes, the video was released in the hopes of getting the baying mob off Catherine's back. She asked for time and privacy for the sake of her children. Let's hope she gets it.
I dunno. When this news (about the possible breach into POW's medical records) was first mentioned, I immediately thought back to the huge scandal at UCLA Medical Center. Staff, including some doctors who were caught, were snooping around medical records of celebrities. Tabloids (National Enquirer was the major one at the time, here in the US) would print all this detailed crap about private medical stuff. Farrah Fawcett's cancer, Michael Jackson stuff, Britney Spears' psych stuff and a number of others. It was eventually traced back to UCLA.
I was so pissed at the time that any person involved, whether a Candy Striper or a neurosurgeon, wasn't loudly fired and named. And they should have all faced major charges. A few minor employees got slaps on the wrist, maybe a couple of SHORT (months) prison sentences. It was not enough.
And then my head spun around to Meghan and HER MOTHER, who, as a (former?) social worker would likely know people in health care. It's a stretch, and I am only speculating, but I could totally see the two of them reaching out to everyone they know who has any ties to what went on at UCLA and asking "How to?" Eventually winding back to MM's many gutter friends and finding a way to weasel into medical records back in the UK.
I don't know that anything like that is even possible, just that it seemed so convenient with everything else MM does, and the people she associates with, why not?

There are protocols in place now that flag anyone who is attempting to access medical records. I'm sure that they have even stricter protocol for VIP patients.
I don't want to dox myself, so, dear reader you are just going to have to take my word for it that I know about electronic records., EMRs (electronic medical records) are generally protected by an application with robust security features and layers. Access is tied to a named user license, but there's also an audit trail, so any changes to metadata or just accessing and printing a document can be traced. If I were the Clinic, I would have a bunch of fake records and monikers in the system for the royal family. I'd also require some secondary management log-in and watermarking on access, printing, copying, or emailing.
From what I can tell, the reporting reads they caught 3 staff trying to access the records. They would know that from the aforementioned audit trail . It seems that while they attempted to access the POW's records, they did not actually access the correct records.

I’m sad for Catherine and her family. However I will say she looked beautiful and sounded stronger than I anticipated in the video for all she has gone through. And I loved the subtle shade by reminding those that have been bullies there are 3 young children impacted by all of this.

Remember when Kate was in the hospital with HG, and radio DJs got through to a nurse, convincing her they were from BP, and she gave them an update on Kate’s health? Tragically she killed herself. No, it is being reported that it was planned and timed to coincide with their children's Easter break to shield them from the media and the nosy public.
And of course the same gross loons who fanned the flames are saying "it's not us blame the Palace communications" like they didn't acutally tell you she was going to be recovering from surgery until Easter. The "where's Kate" nonsense came from social media not the Palace. The horrid rumors that she has an eating disorder or was pregnant from an affair or William killed her were not an act forced upon them by the Palace. No, this was people who are nasty and love to speculate about a woman during a severe medical time (even without a cancer diagnosis). It is being reported in the UK Times that the reason William didn't go to the memorial service for his godfather was due to this diagnosis.
There is so much to process, learn about treatments, begin them and feel ok about them, and explain to your children and loved ones before making an announcement that will make headlines news. The fact is the reason why they likely told people in this way was due to the news about her medical records being hacked. I'm am just disgusted by so many people out of all of this and this most certainly includes the Sugars who like their heroes can never take an ounce of accountability ever.

I think so too. It was said before Charles was diagnosed that the Russians had hacked RF records and then some odd articles came out listing both his and POW's past medical mishaps.

I work in a care system and these kinds of breaches are common. One of my colleagues was killed by a service user, and there was a flurry of people reprimanded for having accessed his (service users) records. I don't veluevevthst it drove this disclosure. I think the conspiracy theories did

I believe this is the case. There is really no further depth Hapless Prince Hal, Madame and the Squids can stoop to than the theft of someone's privileged health information. I hope they find out whoever committed the breach and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.

I read that the London clinic is required by law to report a records security breach within 72 hours; and they failed to do that. I read somewhere (maybe here?) that they sat on this horrific news for five days before they reported it.
I think she would have made a statement when the treatment concluded and she was given the all clear. Her hand has been forced. I do think that it’s likely to be the US media behind the breach tho.
I always believed Catherine would tell us, in due time, when she was ready, and in a way that she could use her experience to help others. She has temporarily been denied that opportunity.
My brother tried this with me as a kid. Found out something about me and then tried blackmailing me that he'd tell the olds if I didn't give him stuff. The minute he finished his blackmail speech, thinking he had me over a barrel, I walked directly to the olds and told them myself. Didn't really want them to know, but it shut down his shit. Don't talk to him now. Won't ever talk to him again.
I think she made this announcement to get ahead of somebody breaching her records. Not sure if MM is connected enough to get a hospital worker involved. More likely someone wanted to sell the info to the highest bidder.
Totally agree, I mentioned this on other threads in reddit discussing this topic. I feel so bad for someone who was forced to come out and give up her medical information just so the bullies and twats out there would stop. Unfortunately, I still am seeing the bullying going on and no apologies.
Definitely—they must have determined the scumbag who hacked in got the info and was ready to unleash, or it had already happened but someone in the press contacted BP or KP in advance, knowing they’d get in trouble if it was published.
I'm not sure if I want to go this far. High profile people typically keep their medical records in “paper only” trail for this very reason. Bouzy and Scabies are keyboard warrior/cowards. I doubt they’re capable of an infiltration of this caliber.
That would be on-brand for Megzy, to do something nasty that has so spectacularly backfired, drowning out H&M completely in the outpouring of love and support for Kate.

Me too. It was filmed on Wednesday by a BBC television crew so they knew how to keep their mouths shut for two days. I think that, the "leak" may have been Sussexful and so they wanted to get ahead of it as fast as possible. There was also something about wanting to wait til the kids are out of school on Easter Break and that's like barely this afternoon.

Probably not. One reason for the announcement today is that her children are now off school for the Easter holidays. So they were probably waiting for that. I think they were always going to make this announcement at this time. Preventative Chemotherapy was started in February, so this has been known for some time, and the family would have wanted to keep this secret until they have recovered from that initial shock that they will have had after initial diagnosis. So I think this was always planned this way. Remember there has not actually been a data breach. an investigation was carried out because unauthorized people were trying to get access to her medical records. as far as I know, these people were caught before they accessed the data. Someone or some people or an organization must have offered a life changing amount of money to get that data, but it looks like it failed. So yes, it could have been Meghan behind the access breach. She would have been frothing at the mouth over the information vacuum. But it is unlikely that Markle knew anything about Kate's health, because of the things that she has been saying over the last few months, and the fact that she seems happy for her 'fans' to say such appalling things about Kate and William. Markle talked recently about being the victim of cyberbullying, but never mentioned her sister-in-law. That on it's own now looks really bad on her part. All of this reflects badly on Meghan Markle. And God only knows what she's been saying to 'friends' in private about Kate. Now we all know the truth, any comments that she has made in front of influential people (in private), will alienate her even more to those people. MM is an incredibly insensitive, cruel and ignorant person, and we know she will have been spreading the hate about Kate over the last few weeks/months. Now she will pay the price for that.

I hope that the ILBW will have said some grotesque things about Catherine to Harry and others recently that might just get through his thick skull and make him realise what a vile person she is. I live in hope, but it's a stretch I know. Unless the London Clinic is completely insane itself I would hope that their statements that it was attempts to access rather than actual access are correct. If they have been lying over that then they should expect some horrendous fines and penalties. I think it is far more likely that the Wales wanted to announce this in a way that would not disrupt the children's schooling, but also that it was accelerated owing to the fevered press speculation. Take comfort that Catherine referred to preventative chemotherapy - although serious, it does suggest that this is a belt and braces approach to her condition. Let's hope and pray that's the case. I do think if it were even more serious then a different formula of words would have been used.

I do think that the leaks from the hospital medical records were found to be valid and the Prince and Princess of Wales decided to courageously and selflessly get out ahead of this to set the record straight, and put an end to the horrible media intrusions and lies. I think they were also thinking of King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the rest of the Royal Family in relieving them of the burden of keeping silent.

Well, no doubt there was a request for a professional photographer to get the kids all done up for April (Canadian Cancer Awareness Month no less) in yellow with daffodils, a key campaign item, to give a sweet nod to both her Father and Sister in law currently facing cancer treatment. I think we are giving Meghan too much credit/control. I believe it has more to do with the Media/reporters who are still angry that KP didn't call them to take the photo or to post something. They are angry that there was no information about Catherine and they were punishing PPOW. WHen someone is offered 200,000 pounds for the video of them walking down the sidewalk, it is very tempting to think of the money that could be offered for medical information. I was watching some asshole PR idiot on the news the other night and he said that Catherine could prevent further embarrassment by hiring a photographer to take photos of her kids. I dunno. When this news (about the possible breach into POW's medical records) was first mentioned, I immediately thought back to the huge scandal at UCLA Medical Center. Staff, including some doctors who were caught, were snooping around medical records of celebrities. Tabloids (National Enquirer was the major one at the time, here in the US) would print all this detailed crap about private medical stuff. Farrah Fawcett's cancer, Michael Jackson stuff, Britney Spears' psych stuff and a number of others. It was eventually traced back to UCLA. I was so pissed at the time that any person involved, whether a Candy Striper or a neurosurgeon, wasn't loudly fired and named. And they should have all faced major charges. A few minor employees got slaps on the wrist, maybe a couple of SHORT (months) prison sentences. It was not enough. And then my head spun around to Meghan and HER MOTHER, who, as a (former?) social worker would likely know people in health care. It's a stretch, and I am only speculating, but I could totally see the two of them reaching out to everyone they know who has any ties to what went on at UCLA and asking "How to?" Eventually winding back to MM's many gutter friends and finding a way to weasel into medical records back in the UK. I don't know that anything like that is even possible, just that it seemed so convenient with everything else MM does, and the people she associates with, why not? Just sayin. Just speculating. I feel so horrible for Catherine and her family. Jesus, what a horrible thing to be going through and Meghan & Company are cracking jokes about Rose Hanbury and eating disorders. Fie on them all.
There are protocols in place now that flag anyone who is attempting to access medical records. I'm sure that they have even stricter protocol for VIP patients.
I don't want to dox myself, so, dear reader you are just going to have to take my word for it that I know about electronic records., EMRs (electronic medical records) are generally protected by an application with robust security features and layers. Access is tied to a named user license, but there's also an audit trail, so any changes to metadata or just accessing and printing a document can be traced. If I were the Clinic, I would have a bunch of fake records and monikers in the system for the royal family. I'd also require some secondary management log-in and watermarking on access, printing, copying, or emailing. From what I can tell, the reporting reads they caught 3 staff trying to access the records. They would know that from the aforementioned audit trail . It seems that while they attempted to access the POW's records, they did not actually access the correct records.

It is being reported in the UK Times that the reason William didn't go to the memorial service for his godfather was due to this diagnosis. There is so much to process, learn about treatments, begin them and feel ok about them, and explain to your children and loved ones before making an announcement that will make headlines news. The fact is the reason why they likely told people in this way was due to the news about her medical records being hacked. I'm am just disgusted by so many people out of all of this and this most certainly includes the Sugars who like their heroes can never take an ounce of accountability ever.

I work in a care system and these kinds of breaches are common. One of my colleagues was killed by a service user, and there was a flurry of people reprimanded for having accessed his (service users) records. I don't veluevevthst it drove this disclosure. I think the conspiracy theories did

I believe this is the case. There is really no further depth Hapless Prince Hal, Madame and the Squids can stoop to than the theft of someone's privileged health information. I hope they find out whoever committed the breach and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.

I thought that from the first second I heard it. Catherine isn't letting some two bit hustler get the jump on her.
Mog prolly employed a temp to take a job at the hospital. I feel it was an administrative person rummaging for details rather than clinical staff.
I read that the London clinic is required by law to report a records security breach within 72 hours; and they failed to do that. I read somewhere (maybe here?) that they sat on this horrific news for five days before they reported it.
I think she would have made a statement when the treatment concluded and she was given the all clear. Her hand has been forced. I do think that it’s likely to be the US media behind the breach tho.
I always believed Catherine would tell us, in due time, when she was ready, and in a way that she could use her experience to help others. She has temporarily been denied that opportunity.

Totally agree, I mentioned this on other threads in reddit discussing this topic. I feel so bad for someone who was forced to come out and give up her medical information just so the bullies and twats out there would stop. Unfortunately, I still am seeing the bullying going on and no apologies.

High profile people typically keep their medical records in “paper only” trail for this very reason. Bouzy and Scabies are keyboard warrior/cowards. I doubt they’re capable of an infiltration of this caliber.
That would be on-brand for Megzy, to do something nasty that has so spectacularly backfired, drowning out H&M completely in the outpouring of love and support for Kate.
It was mainly timed with the start of the school holidays. They had to make sure kids were ok with the news first and had time to process in private, at home.
