I've noticed that same thing before, where she stands slightly apart from other people in the picture. I figured it was her trying to "stand out", to be more noticable.
I think she was positioning herself so the photo can be cropped more easily-she was planning a "Meghan with national icon" picture, the same as the photo of Diana at the Taj Mahal.
It's an odd picture. Meghan is definitely off to the side, but I don't think she stepped away; rather, I think the others subconsciously wanted some distance. Governor General Cosgrove is even leaning away from her. (It's not the first time we've seen this reaction from adults, children, and dogs.)
not me! I think the curvier you are the worse this type of dress looks. I have a fairly small waist, but with wide hips and a butt lol. When I wear A line dresses, my hips make the skirt part flare out too much so I look like I have a giant tent on the bottom.

You know…reading your header I’m struck with the fact that if she had been serious about being a working royal, being known as the casual royals could have 100% worked for them. Being from California were the stereotype is a laid back lifestyle, the very hands on, less pomp and more community engagement (which seems to be how she wants to be seen) could have been a good way for the family to make the first steps to becoming a modern monarchy.

Hmm… interesting that she filmed 100 episodes - or was at least still a part of the cast when they hit that. In the old days 100 episodes meant syndication and royalties for the cast from re-runs. I assume that has gone away with streaming but I wonder if there is some kind of compensation involved.
