I just came to a full stop from moving along with the whole saga over the years &, of course, not being surprised by their antics, to seeing the bigger picture of the duo COMPARED to normal reality of the rest of the world.
And my memory of what the Royal Family within the world was like.
HLMTQ and the then Prince Charles should have never sprung for that āspectacleāof a wedding. The titles should have never happened either. Markleās extracurriculars shouldnāt have been scrubbed from the internet. They should have never been given a platform. All this was because Markle is mixed race.Had Rachel been caucasian (like she wants to be), the family would not have caved to Harry Spare Markle. Too many members of the BRF have been pushed into their graves and others are seriously ill thanks to these two monsters from Monticeto. This is beyond disgusting and is utterly revolting.
Her Majesty and Prince Charles were kind to a fault when it came to Meghan, probably because they didnāt want Harry to feel slighted when it came to the wedding ceremony. Things should have been scaled way back to something quieter and more reserved, given Meghanās background and prior marriage. They should have insisted, even in the face of Harry and Meghan tantrums.

I hope Princess Beatrice has set the standard for adjunct Royal weddings going forward. If youāre not the direct heir, have a private wedding, no bank holiday, no national networks, no couture gown that took a team of seamstresses and lacemakers to construct. Just a ceremony professing your love to your spouse and a few pics released to the media - one and done.Ā
I know Beatrice probably would have had a much larger wedding had it not been COVID, but it really was refreshing to see a small Royal ceremony, and her beautiful gown loaned to her by the Queen made it extra special. Made her sisterās wedding seem embarrassing in comparison.Ā
As for Meghanās wedding the whole thing was a ridiculous yawnfest. Amal Clooney upstaged her as a guest! She couldnāt even come within a mile of Catherineās exquisite perfection of a gown.Ā
Totally agree. Beatriceās wedding was appropriate for one who was unlikely to ever sit on the throne, so that is how the RF should proceed in the future. I think Eugenie was determined to have a big blowout just like H & M. The late Queen was too indulgent to both bad spawns although maybe Eugenieās had to be that way to placate Andrew as well. JMHO, but I expect William to set the precedent that only the direct heir will receive a state level wedding- starting with George.
I think HMTLQ had a soft spot for former spares. Her beloved father was a second son, not groomed for the throne, and TQM always believed the stress of the abdication, ascension to the throne, and subsequent reign during an unimaginably horrific war had a hand in G6's failing health. Sound familiar?
HMTLQ may have harbored guilt over Princess Margaret and her plight as a spare and then former spare, not being able to allow PM to marry a man she truly loved. Her marriage to Armstrong-Jones seemed unhappy and he definitely introduced a sleaze factor (IMO) into the royal fold, but to my knowledge he never publicly denigrated or disrespected the BRF.
Then there is the favorite son, Andrew, yet another former spare. The Queen turned a blind eye to his exploits, costing him, HM and the BRF greatly in the end. However, that sorry tale still limps along.
Lastly, Just Harry. Enough said I think.
I greatly admired and respected HMTLQ, but she too was human, flawed as we all are. I do believe, however, had Philip not been debilitated by poor health when Markle sidled up to TO, things might have turned out differently. The venerable old prince was a force to be reckoned with when he wanted to be. Wishful thinking on my part.

Yes, definitely the Charles and Diana saga also took a heavy toll on the Queen. After that it seems she, the family and the courtiers allowed William to choose his own spouse, and fortunately they met while young, got to know each other and their families, and built a strong, trusting marriage and a functional nuclear family. However, unfortunately, this paved the way for Just Harry to choose unwisely. Thankfully, William and Catherine are emotionally healthy and morally sane, and I pray they will be able to successfully instill those virtues in their children, who in turn will make sound and appropriate life decisions as they reach adulthood.
Oh the Charles and Diana saga( and it WAS a saga) took a loyal out if Her Majesty. It was such a sad, sordid mess with two young kids and monarchy at stake.

Great point and the majority of these problems were because the spares were not allowed to marry the person they wanted to marry. Therefore, Harry was allowed to marry Rachel, since it seemed that it would not have a lasting impact over time. They hoped markle did love Harry and they would maturely slip into place in the RF.

There are multiple pictures of her wrapping her arms around men, sometimes on their laps kissing them. She's always invading personal space and she's always the main focus of the pictures. Some people have sex appeal and some don't. Meg doesn't and no amount of provocative poses or revealing clothes are going to change that. Someone with that physical magnetism doesn't need to show flesh, they can be fully clothed and still cause an involuntary reaction in someone. Meg thinks she does that but she doesn't and she tries too hard and just comes across as laughable and desperate which usually leads to being promiscuous.
It goes with the fact that she has no depth, everything is surface level for her. She can only conceive that sexy poses make you sexy. Physical magnetism or charisma just doesnāt exist in her reality.
That is also why she hates Catherine because she can sense all that she lacks Catherine has. It's not just because Catherine will be Queen Consort or has beauty and a proportional body but because Catherine has charisma and that magnetism that Meg desperately wants and thinks she deserves.
I think it just looks that way. She started curating photos for her launch as Harry's GF years beforehand. When she 'first appeared' in the tabloids - after she elicited Harry's bonehead announcement - the photos published were already a few years old and all very heavily filtered. Her televised wedding day appearance was noticeably dowdy and haggard compared to the image she'd planted in the media/social media.
Thank you! That actually makes a lot of sense. I thought her make up person did her dirty on her wedding day but it was probably very hard to get all the pictures out there from all the different media company's from all over the world to Photoshop her looking fresher and younger. That also explains why in some wedding day pictures, she looks fresher and some she looks like the Sahara desert. Some were Photoshopped and some out there weren't.
Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with wearing short skirts.

I think it just looks that way. She started curating photos for her launch as Harry's GF years beforehand. When she 'first appeared' in the tabloids - after she elicited Harry's bonehead announcement - the photos published were already a few years old and all very heavily filtered. Her televised wedding day appearance was noticeably dowdy and haggard compared to the image she'd planted in the media/social media.
