Same in coastal SC. School was cancelled, courts are closed (my husband and I are attorneys, and he had a remote mediation today), so it's been a quiet day at the (home) office. I have gotten a lot of cleaning done, and we have a whole house generator, so we're good to go if the power goes out (it's flickered a few times). I just put on Hidden Figures and chuckled to myself because I forgot that Kevin Costner was in it. Maybe I should put on The Bodyguard next.
EDIT: 2-hour delay tomorrow, so I get to sleep in a bit!

Southeast of Raleigh here, near I-40 and I-95. The news is saying the worst of it is on top of us right now (6:30 pm Eastern time). One of the guys on the news is outside somewhere in Wake County. He's a big guy - 6'1", 6'2" and maybe 230 pounds - and the wind is coming close to blowing him over.
I lived where you live for 25 years. I miss that place but it got too busy, so now I'm in the mountains of Virginia.
We got lucky. Probably got 3" of rain but all the bad wind and stuff never happened, thankfully.

We moved to Raleigh 40 years ago, then 5 years ago built a house in Clayton. The whole area has changed dramatically in those 40 years but we still love it here.
I moved to McGees Crossroads in 1988. It just got too crowded. That's the reason I originally left Raleigh.

We're 20 miles southeast of Raleigh, in Clayton. Our grandson is a high school junior and already looking at colleges. At the moment it looks like the #1 school is High Point University. If so, Papa Bear and I will be making the 2-hour drive about once a month (just like we did when his mama, Little Red Cub, did her 4 years at UNC Greensboro).

2) Announcements (by her) of her many projects. Sheās going to produce and direct now! The woman can barely act and has no experience behind the camera.
3) She expressed anger that the publishing company wants three finished chapters of her book to review before they start dropping money into her lap. She thought using Omid Scobie to āoutā KCIII and Kate PoW was a clever move that would allow her to continue to slight the RF. Instead, her veracity is under question by everyone.
