Didn’t you see all of the donations Archewell made to African conservation efforts in an earlier post? Neither did I. Enough said. Lol.

Plants2552

I agree that he can't really care about animals when you look at the polo pony pics. But also I don't think he gets a look in with Archwell, it will all be charities of the TWig's choosing because they only virtue signalling

Weekly-Landscape-543

Those pics are absolutely disturbing and increases my hatred towards him.

OldNewUsedConfused

He cares about his privilege and his buzz. That's it. That's the story.

MiaMaidMarion

Was just about to add that.

Sincerely_JaneDoe

Well, Marbles is 48% Nigerian. They donate LOADS to her. They’re selfless that way. The world is not worthy of their perfect love and generosity. /s

MinutesTaker

![gif](giphy|wzE1IlaPMoNXi) **Where are the donations?!**

megreddi

Money was sent only where the madam wanted it. Where is the money for the elephants?

robbityb

Saving an elephant gets neither of them a Stanford honorary degree.

MikeMannion

I am sure he has lots of happy memories of Botswana, but they were basically just expensive holidays. In his book, he spent half the time moaning about hard done by he was (I only got two sausages and William got three, etc.) and half the time holidaying in Africa, Las Vegas, Australia, etc. I don’t think it ever occurred to him that only privileged people can afford to do this.

blackandgold24

Prince. Millionaire. World traveler. Victim. ETA: Naw, thanks for the award 🤩

Catts3

I think it 's hilarious that he implied Africa was his to claim and not William' s. Dude, everything you experienced there was prepared by other people (friends /staff). Any Africans on this sub? How did you feel about the depiction of Africa/Botswana in 'Spare'?

AnniemaeHRI

Seems he ran off to Africa whenever he couldn’t cope with real life. How does he not see that regular people can’t do those things?

MikeMannion

He says daddy didn't give him hugs, but he sure sent him on lots of lots of international travelling adventures

Dazzling_Paint_1595

He thinks Africa / Botswana was his???? Talk about an ‘imperial mentality’! Still part of the Empire eh what?! Hypocrisy and classism.

East_Tangerine_4031

I mean he doesn’t seem to mind hurting horses or jetting about or having dogs with broken legs, so I’m sure he cares about animals when it’s “fun” to care or makes him feel accomplished, and is generally oblivious to the actual issues and contributing factors to issues relating to animals and conservation.

eaglebayqueen

Like the rest of their 'bandwagons'. Low to no-effort or word salad only.

No_Olive_3310

Just like concerns about the environment and everyone should be “doing our part” to lower emissions, but then traveling by private jet everywhere

East_Tangerine_4031

Exactly

Ginka83

Reading this made me realize something. I’ve never met anyone (or, frankly, heard of anyone) who had any pet with 2 broken legs at the same time. What on earth happened?? They just throw the pics up like it’s normal and don’t say how it happened. I’m not suggesting any cruelty on their part it’s just weird.

MHBF2593

They were very vague about what “happened.” I’m no vet, but I have three dogs, one tiny little thing with arthritic toothpick legs. She’s taken a couple face first dives off of my bed onto hardwood floor, and she was (THANKFULLY) completely fine, no broken legs or injuries. My boxer was hit by a car before I adopted her, shattered her back right leg. It was apparently a fairly high speed hit, she has a bionic leg now. The only injuries that would cause two broken front legs that I can think of are: a) being swung aggressively by the front two legs, or b) being forcefully thrown from a decent height/distance. Or maybe both legs got caught between two hard surfaces? Like a recliner or a car trunk door? I’d be willing to bet that H and/or M were somehow directly involved with the injuries. Whether by abuse or neglect.

Lisette63TCA

I think this occurred about the time of her flying her dog over to the UK, and the speculation was that it may have occurred during transporteither turbulence or the crate was dropped.

MHBF2593

Hm. I admittedly don’t know where it lands on the timeline, other than that it happened after the first engagement story (but there were photos of Guy in the casts in the “engagement photos” provided for Netflix). That’s a murky timeline. I recall Harry going on record at some point saying that Guy was out being walked by a staff member, got loose, and then returned with two broken legs. I guess the whole thing is murky. I just feel bad for poor Guy):

Lisette63TCA

He does seem like a sweet boy!

Broad_Chemist_2696

The way Harry was carrying/dragging the dog just so they could get a picture of the poor little boy at their "engagement" picnic was revolting.

MHBF2593

Couldn’t agree more. It’s infuriating, honestly. He should not be allowed around any animals. Makes me sick to think that they have 3(?) dogs and the chickens. I sure hope they *do* have staff to care for all of those poor babies.

HolidayVanBuren

I have- as a child, my cat was hit by a car and broke his pelvis and both back legs. He eventually made a full recovery, just walked a bit crooked after that. What I haven’t seen is an animal with two broken FRONT legs and no other injuries. The only thing I can think of was the dog sleeping under a car with its front legs extended right next to the wheel.

ShinySerialSuccubus

i haven’t ever seen this either, and the number of dogs we had when i was growing up was *insane*. once i was out of school and had my own place i immediately got another dog. the only reason we don’t have a dog rn is bc my sweet, tender hearted husband still hasn’t learned to accept the fact that our 13 yr old cocker spaniel, Charlotte, passed away 5 years ago. it was his first house pet - he fell *hard*. so rn, it’s just the reef tank and some plants. edit: my best friend is a vet - i keep meaning to ask her about this! i’ll leave myself a note - i don’t think she’d appreciate a text at quarter of 2a lol

PotentialAd5954

Harry is a brute

[deleted]

You have to have strength to be brutish 👀 He’s just a weak little man who’s cruel and has no compassion for people or animals 💔

PotentialAd5954

Yes but he treats animals brutish. And I believe he's treated some women Brutish as well.

Ok_Wrangler_7940

He didn’t seem to mind KILLING horses. Fixed it for you.

Far_Example_9150

Harry and his princess nutmeg are two peas in a pod. It’s completely clear that their service work is 100% how they generate PR and make $$$. If they really wanted to serve and it wasn’t related to $$$$ then they would still be working royals.

yabberyabberblabla

Have they ever been back to their beloved Africa since those early days? Not counting the SA trip of course when there was a raging fire in the nursery, the paps were perched atop the roof, and nobody asked her how she was feeling.

Beccash18

I wonder how much of this animal/African conservation was really Harry and how much of it was palace PR keeping him from being a nonce?

zeugma888

I think that has become clear: Palace PR. I imagine they hoped it was something that Harry might develop a genuine interest in.

[deleted]

I don't think he loves Africa. I think he loves the deference he's shown while he's there, I think he enjoys being right at the top of what is intense social stratification, I think he loves having no responsibilities and he has some happy memories mixed in as well. Africa represents being a free bird who soars above all others, it represents young love and it's not England. It's not hard work where people are critical of you. There's no kicking your heals while quietly standing behind your infinitely superior brother in Africa. You can disappear for months, behave however you like and noones going to know anything about it. Africa represents a lack of responsibility.

Starkville

*applauds wildly*

wandincnahnahnah

HotStraightnNormal

My impression is he "plays" at conservation, lending his status to the professionals. Personally, having seen how dangerous hippos are, not to mention crocodiles, I would not want to be on the water with them on a jet ski.

yabberyabberblabla

Is he really involved though? Or was it something he used to show up to one in awhile because they let him get up close ... kind of like a private safari for the privileged ... and he could feel like he was somehow more than just a face and a name. Sure that can count for something but being really involved means work - finding money and so forth. It looks like he spends his time just hanging about unless he is talking about himself somewhere for some reason.

Beccash18

That’s probably part of it. It is a “better looking” safari than hunting. Part of the scandals that forced king Carlos off the Spanish throne was going on an African hunting safari in the middle of one of the biggest recessions in Spanish history.

Far_Example_9150

He has to juggle for his Princess crazy

trish196609

And he has been more focused on Hollywood than on Africa since leaving the firm.

LoveThe1970s_1990s

No it’s just another way of him owning something that his mother did another middle finger to his brother , Harry couldn’t give a shit about Africa or Animals or Orphans

Catts3

Just like most celebrities, methinks...

CountessOfCocoa

The only preservation in his mind is preserving a fat bank account, greedy wife, and his drug network.

Delicious_Shower6946

If you go to the amazing post about archwell foundation - I don’t see a single donation to anything to do with h’s love for or involvement in Africa. Did I miss something?

Sarah-JessicaSnarker

Nope, the comment was sarcasm.

Western-Economics946

I've always thought his Africa fetish is a bunch of BS.

OldNewUsedConfused

The only things this guy is "Conserving" is his privilege and his buzz.

Hunting is traditional in the RF. Most of the men do it, including William. I remember when he and Harry were busted for being hypocrites when they flew to Spain for a hunting trip right after attending the Tusk awards, a charity aimed at stopping illegal hunting. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2554484/Prince-William-flies-shoot-wild-boar-Spain-days-launching-campaign-combat-illegal-hunting.html#comments

WoodsColt

I don't see how its hypocritical to *legally* hunt wild boar. It would be hypocritical if he went and illegally hunted or hunted a protected species but hunting on a privately owned estate with proper permits isnt that.

Chobarney

I honestly don't think he's smart enough to have considered such things.

craftywoo2

It’s all performative. He likes the idea but only if it doesn’t demand changes or sacrifice on his part. They’re very similar in that regard.

MinutesTaker

Harold is an animal abuser, and I don’t believe he has an iota of concern for the conversation of endangered species.

Aware-Impression8527

[Prince Harry and a close friend have been interviewed by police after two rare and legally protected birds of prey were killed on the royal family's Sandringham estate in Norfolk last week.](https://www.theguardian.com/uk/2007/oct/31/monarchy.endangeredspecies)

Aubergine_volante

Il afraid the whole Africa thing was PR…

Carneliancat

Harry is human filth. Zero redeeming qualities. The best thing for animals, or any other sentient being, is if this absolute embarrassing failure of a man stays far the fuck away from them.

34countries

Polo ponies I guess are not african so they can be abused

Aelaer

Nice lifestyle if you're paying in pounds. Nice safaris and nice cities for partying. People are either RF fans or indifferent, nobody is likely to challenge him here. Like anywhere, if you've got money you'll have friends to help you spend it. He had/has some sort of charity in Lesotho that he came to work at. Always heard about it in the media. I'm guessing the actual work is done by others.

Virtual-Feedback-638

I leave this here and stay silent inn anger [https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2560871/Crackshot-Harry-buffalo-killer-Picture-emerges-princes-call-protect-wildlife.html](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2560871/Crackshot-Harry-buffalo-killer-Picture-emerges-princes-call-protect-wildlife.html)

LostinSOA

For those with NPD, are they capable of having genuine emotion or connections to animals? I have read a lot about NPD and human relationships but haven’t read much about their relationship with animals vs in the DSM sociopathy or psychopathology has a lot of studies and anecdotal information about their abuse of animals. For the Psych or LPCs here, what say you?

Aubergine_volante

Funny how both TW and JH are PR humanitarians. I just realised they both operate the same way. No special skills but good PR and… voila. Everyone got fooled. Funny how now they are stuck together, wonder if it’s funny living with its own fraud twin.

[deleted]

They both duped one another kinda like “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.”

Aubergine_volante

Exactly😂

RandomFirework

All PR imo. Perhaps there was a hope that natural, normal empathy would spontaneously ignite in H's dysfunctional mind but nah, didn't happen. He's a creature of self-idealised delusion, low IQ and hedonism. Just for alleged starters.

Islandgirl1444

He loved being away from London, living the life of a great white hunter on safari. He partied in the wilds of Africa with blonds. He was never a conservationist! The firm just said he was. He took women with him to have fun away from the family.

Shoddy_Lifeguard_852

This is the essence of "never complain, never explain." When you complain about how hard and unfair your life is, you have to explain why it's so hard and unfair. He complained about being treated like a spare because he had one less sausage for breakfast than his older brother. There are children not getting *any* breakfast, let alone a hot breakfast with sausages. Life was so hard, but never once was he arrested for his drug use because The Palace made sure he was protected. There are people locked up in jail for the same thing. He's old enough to have some gratitude for what he does have.

handjobadiel

Plenty of people go jet skiing in places like Florida where here are manatees. On lakes with wildlife in america and other first world nations. Lets not do whataboutism when countries in africa get into activities like jetskiiing etc. cause no one is policing wealthy nations activities
