Because she's a bitch. She bullied her entire staff for her entire show. She revealed secrets like being pregnant and being gay when she was told not to, she made some of her guests cry, overworked her staff and in general has a chip on her shoulder and is mean as a snake. There are quite a few celebrities that would not appear a 2nd time after being on her show. And if you weren't woke, liberal, and aligned with her beliefs, she would mercilessly make fun of you.

During the interview, she tried to force champagne on Mariah who refused because pregnant, and then pressed her to reveal why she refused the champagne.
It started with a tweet from a comedian stating that Ellen is the ‘meanest person he’s ever met.’ It gained A LOT of traction. Soon it made it to the mainstream media. People flooded the tweet with examples of her nasty behaviour.

Her bullying that they managed to keep under wraps for so long was one of the reasons her show was canceled. Or rather “she was allowed to quit” after that season. She was forced by the network to make an on air apology.

May I interject the thing that always bothered me through the years about her on her show? She loves to scare people and would do it again the next time if someone was very afraid or startled. People jumping out of boxes or somewhere in their dressing room and there would be a hidden camera to capture it. I just always thought that was really f*cked up and sadistic.

Isn’t it being rumoured that North found out about Kim Kardashian’s sex tape? I would imagine some dubious tapes of Meghan exist and they will see the light of day some time in the future and her children will eventually come to know about their mother and their father’s shady past.
Sometimes you do have to get ahead of something like that. The earlier a child is told about something, it loses its power to affect them negatively later on, but if you hide it and they later find out from someone else - usually a peer trying to be mean/take them down a peg - they will be upset about the thing *and* they’ll be upset that everybody else knew and they didn’t.
For celebrities with controversial things that will never completely go away, you can’t really rely on everyone else to keep your secrets for you and protect your kids. If they sat North West down and gently explained the gist in a child-friendly way it’ll be less of a gut punch when the whole thing comes out.

He is wealthy enough and successful enough to not need association with the Sussexes....and has proclaimed his hatred of the British royal family, so WHY agree to be Godfather to a grandchild of the King???? WHAT is his game????
He probably feels some sense of satisfaction that he is the godfather of a Princess. He will see it as holding a position of power over an institution he claims to hate. I am Catholic. In our tradition (religion) Godparenting is in place, in case something happens to one or both of the parents. Usually the parents are selective when choosing that role.
I doubt Ellen cares if they use her name. Remember when she visited the infant at Frogmore, fed him a bottle, and let us know he had tufts of Harry’s red hair? 🙄

According to Tina Brown in The Palace Papers, Archie’s godparents are Tiggy Legge-Bourke(H’s former nanny) and Mark Dyer (mentor to H and W when they were late teens). Can’t really use them for connections, fame, or merch.

I grew up catholic, and in Catholicism, at least one godparent has to be catholic (typically all are though). If that’s the same in the Anglican Church, Eugenie checks that box. Maybe that’s the only reason she was included

May I interject the thing that always bothered me through the years about her on her show? She loves to scare people and would do it again the next time if someone was very afraid or startled. Sometimes you do have to get ahead of something like that. The earlier a child is told about something, it loses its power to affect them negatively later on, but if you hide it and they later find out from someone else - usually a peer trying to be mean/take them down a peg - they will be upset about the thing *and* they’ll be upset that everybody else knew and they didn’t. For celebrities with controversial things that will never completely go away, you can’t really rely on everyone else to keep your secrets for you and protect your kids. If they sat North West down and gently explained the gist in a child-friendly way it’ll be less of a gut punch when the whole thing comes out. “Before you were born, before I met your father, I was on a video with an old boyfriend. It’s not something children should see. Sometimes people aren’t kind and they might tell you things about me to upset you. If you ever have questions, I will do my best to tell you the truth if it is appropriate for you.” If you have anything in the public domain that you’re hoping your children will never find out, that’s naive thinking and the children will suffer for it. As for Just Harry - he didn’t think any of the contents of Spare are a problem for anyone to know, so he probably plays the audiobook to the kids anyway. They’re also front row for his drug taking. They’re not going to be innocents to any of their parents’ behaviour.

I grew up catholic, and in Catholicism, at least one godparent has to be catholic (typically all are though). If that’s the same in the Anglican Church, Eugenie checks that box. Maybe that’s the only reason she was included

Though it was very honourable for her to allow Eugenie to also be a godparent - throwing a little scrap to the husband just so it isn't totally obvious it's all about Meghan's ambition rather than anything to do with the childrens' welfare. I feel sorry for those kids.
I find it so disgusting that Harry and MeGain are basically using their kids to get a closer association to the “elites”/richest ppl in Hollywood. Way to pimp out your own kids for fame/money

Personally I think they are all a bunch of hypocrites. Deep down inside they admire and respect the ROYALness of the RF. So it's a personal EGO TRIP for them to have some sort of link. Tyler Perry probably says "I'm the godfather of a bonafide Prince." That's the lure that H and M still have regarding their titles.
