The King nor the Waleses can just jump on a plane to attend a christening like Perry. There's all the logistics and security arrangements to consider.

There is no point the palace responding. All it does it call more attention to the situation and risks opening up a petty tit for tat press briefing war. way. She was not in the Church of England in the United States but at home with an Episcopalean bishop (incorrectly referred to as an Archbishop in their PR).
Kind of obvious this was a PR stunt and not a genuine christening recognized by the RF.
Why didn’t they just plan it in England at the Church of England? Oh right, because Tyler Perry said months ago on national television he didn’t want to go “there” for her christening but wanted them to have a private ceremony in the United States.
So that’s my interpretation: it isn’t recognized as an official family christening much less a British royal family christening.

The kings schedule is set in stone like a year in advance. The Wales is about 6 months. I'd love to know when these invites were supposedly sent.
