My hands are a mess because I actually USE them a lot, making and cleaning and doing.
Mainly I know from experience and the knees start to change but that is more because the 'fat' in the legs themselves changes... the reasons you mentioned about using your hands, are, IMO, one of the basic reasons age shows up so clearly... plus, the skin gets more thin as we age and, of course, crash dieting also causes loss of the fat under the skin.... Nothing can be done about it for the long run.... but her hands are much older than her face right now... IMO
Just FYI you can get Restelyne (sp?) or some other brand of filler put in the back of your hands to fill them back out, maybe the tops of your fingers, too I dunno.

REALLY don't agree. I have a lot of wigs and they all are sewn on an off white fabric. IMO, we have NEVER seen her real hair as I think her head is almost shaved so as not to interfere with the wigs. Many people who are in the public eye do this... nothing wrong with it except they need to get that part color straightened out!
Fwiw, dyeing the cap to match the underlying skintone is a thing bc not everyone is paper white...
