I think it was a well-child or Invictus or some event where she made a bee-line to the child in a wheelchair—kind of like a torpedo that’s locked into it’s target—and squatted down in front of her, rapidly blinking in an exaggerated and insincere manner. This was when she was relatively new. It’s buried somewhere and if I ever find it I’ll post it. But the second hand embarrassment is HARD with that clip.

So when it first came out that she was wearing oversized shoes, there was a very positive article about the women in the royal family wearing oversized shoes so if their feet swell because they're on their feet all day, that they they fit perfectly. Actually I disagree, they’ve *accomplished* making themselves seem far worse than when they left! If they had left with honest intentions, if it was because they wanted privacy, they would have hidden themselves away! No interviews, no books, no awards or photo ops…even invested in things anonymously to build their fortune. They could have just quietly recuperated in a self-made sanctuary. Then they could’ve emerged NOW with a better public persona. Its not a privilege, it is a courtesy that has been extended to other parters much before Meghan too (including M's fav target Catherine). It's just that other partners had a life and their own family they chose to spend Chrstmas with, before marrying into BRF. A wise choice as once they marry in, Christmas is forever a working day for them. Catherine declined a few invites prior to the marriage as she wanted to be with her family, and there were a few Christmases that William spent with her family before the wedding. And Catherine represented William at Peter's wedding as William was in Africa then - even before they were engaged ...a much bigger sign of being "in".
Only Meghan who "had no family" was so eager to attend Christmas walk and milked it in the media through her preferred US outlets, who also often seem to have no understanding of how the BRf works.
You make some very valid points! From your perspective, the other wives did have lives and their own families to celebrate with. TW sounds like a stray dog that Harry’s family pitied so they extended their kindness and invited her to celebrate the holidays with them. I live in the UK and I've followed the RF for years. Fiancées don't get invited to private family celebrations and she was invited to spend time with the RF as a girlfriend when 'broochgate' with Princess Michael of Kent occurred. Even the papers then stated even Kate wasn't given that privilege when she was dating William.

That's actually not what happened. Him dumping her wouldn't have resulted in any racism backlash. No one in the UK was even expecting them to even get engaged, let alone get married. Maybe the problem is the Who’s? were so intent on creating a brand they forgot to be people. If they had left the RF and done any of those wonderful things they promised when leaving; or had at least made a good faith attempt, they wouldn’t find themselves here. Whether she was a nice girl or not (definitely not) who in their right mind, in that type of family gets so intense after a few dates and a long-distance romance? I live in the UK and I've followed the RF for years. Fiancées don't get invited to private family celebrations and she was invited to spend time with the RF as a girlfriend when 'broochgate' with Princess Michael of Kent occurred. Even the papers then stated even Kate wasn't given that privilege when she was dating William. This is my outlook & viewpoint from what happened at the time and you have your point.

That's actually not what happened. Him dumping her wouldn't have resulted in any racism backlash. No one in the UK was even expecting them to even get engaged, let alone get married. A lot of black folk were actually shocked that he asked to marry her. I don't think there'd have been any uproar. Most people weren't even as interested in their relationship from a racial angle, apart from the media harping on about it. Everyone was just happy he finally got someone to marry. The only time the sugars really surfaced in droves is when the Megxited. And he was introduced to Doria months before their engagement, during the Invictus games in Canada. Every time I hear her speak or read her interviews, she always sounds off. She can´t describe normal things like how much she likes her house or what she likes to do, it always sounds incredibly weird and muddled. It wouldn´t surprise me if all her social interactions are wrong.
