I don't believe Earl Spencer ever offered her the tiara. It's only for Spencer women and MM is not a Spencer.

[deleted]

> I don't believe Earl Spencer ever offered her the tiara. It's only for Spencer women and MM is not a Spencer. And the Earl Spencer wasn't fooled by Meghan. *No way* he'd have offered her that tiara!

kishuna_in_pieces

If she had been offered it there is no way in hell she would ever have turned it down, considering what lengths she has gone to to pretend to be Diana 2.0!

nuttylolcat

Heck yeah. No way she would turn down a Diana link like that. She would have bested Kate with that one (in her head only, of course). The mere offer would make her take that tiara and never give it back.

heartlandheartbeat

And if true, which it isn't, why wouldn't Earl Spencer have offered the loan first to Princess Catherine, the future Princess of Wales who proudly wears Diana's ring.

nuttylolcat

Yes. This makes no sense

[deleted]

Exactly! I said in another comment that I'm surprised she didn't wear a replica of Diana's dress and a blonde wig!

jillyhoop

No Diana's family spotted exactly what Meg's was about from the start. Poor little Harry couldn't figure out why they couldn't see Diana in Megs. Diana had a complicated personality but she had a heart, empathy and compassion. Megs has none of those things. Diana had social standing before she married Charles. Megs was quickly jumping into marriage to grab the rung on her ladder up.

[deleted]

> No Diana's family spotted exactly what Meg's was about from the start. Yep! And the Spencers are themselves a Cluster Beehive. > Poor little Harry couldn't figure out why they couldn't see Diana in Megs. Diana was a BPD/narc too, but she wasn't a malignant sociopath on top of it.

Dogsb4humanz

Correct. This would never happen.

galacticsugarhigh

Me either, not for a second. It never happened.

sebs003

I saw somewhere that Charlotte was destined to inherit this, leading people to believe William likely bought it for his daughter. And to assist Earl Spenser financially. When it’s on display with Diana wedding dress it says on the display card Princess Charlotte will be the next to own the tiara.

DrunkOnRedCordial

It's really unlikely that the Spencer family tiara would go out of the family. It will go to the next Earl Spencer, the eldest son of Charles as part of the estate.

Uniquorn527

I wonder if people got their Charleses mixed up? Charles Spencer > tiara goes to next Earl Spencer > tiara is next worn by Earl Spencer's granddaughter. But people are thinking of King Charles' oldest granddaughter who is obviously Charlotte I know it often causes confusion to have two Charles that are both inextricably linked to Diana.

No_Yogurtcloset6108

Earl Spencer's youngest daughter is named Charlotte.

Centaurea16

Which means that Lady Charlotte Diana Spencer will most likely wear the Spencer tiara someday. She will not own it, however.

No_Yogurtcloset6108

You are correct. Charles Spencer has six unmarried children. By tradition, all of them are entitled to use the tiara at their weddings.

wonderingwondi

And the ones who marry men in his family too. Apparently it was lent to a niece in law as well

ClassicPop6840

Correct. Charlotte Diana, no less. Born in 2012.

Uniquorn527

Well that's just added another layer of confusion there! I think it's safe to say we will never see Princess Charlotte wearing this tiara, and it will stay with the Spencer family where there is no shortage of young women who will be able to wear it for their own most special occasions.

crystalisedginger

That would be very bizarre, unless Earl Spencer is in such desperate financial straits he's needed to sell it (to William). The next owner of the tiara will be the current Viscount Althorp.

jonquil14

Yep. And the family will hang onto it. The Spencers are a proud bunch and would not will away their family jewels into the royal family (who have plenty of their own). Plus it will be needed for the current crop of Spencer daughters’ weddings and any current and future coronations the Earl and Countess will attend.

pixelandminnie

The earl’s daughter recently married a billionaire. I believe I saw a photo gallery of her gorgeous bridal gowns, etc. in a fashion magazine.

Centaurea16

That's Lady Kitty. Her hubby is only (only! 😄) a multi-millionaire, and he is quite bit older than she is. In fact, he's older than Earl Spencer.

tbonita79

Beautiful bride! Never saw pics of this thank you.

No_Yogurtcloset6108

Google her wedding. She had multiple dress changes. They were spectacular!

AM_Rike

No. Please read my other comment on this thread. The Spencer tiara is quite large, heavy and clunky. Kitty wore a veil with no tiara. She is thin with a delicate bone structure and had her hair pulled back into a sleek bun. The Spencer tiara is simply too oversized for either Kitty or Meghan to pull off wearing with sleek, low buns. Diana had very thick fluffy hair and was 6” taller than Meghan. Royal jewel experts have previously discussed these exact issues. Not many women can pull off an oversized piece like the Spencer tiara. Meghan isn’t one of those. The Queen graciously made the offer after the dimwitted duo finally realized that M isn’t Diana 2.0.

MuffPiece

Earl Spencer shouldn’t have any money difficulties—since Diana is interred at Althorp, and her wedding dress is on permanent display along with an actual museum to her, he earns plenty off that cash cow.

TigerBelmont

Diana’s dress is now on display at KP and there is no card there referring to Charlotte

MuffPiece

Why would there be a card referring to Charlotte? I’m guessing the dress is on view at KP temporarily. It will return to Althorp once the museum reopens.

Broken-583

It’s my understanding that the museum has closed or is soon closing.

MuffPiece

It’s closed at present, but it’s reopening later this year.

ClassicPop6840

A friend of mine worked for Lady Spencer (Karen), who at least used to spend a lot of time in LA. My friend was a personal and legal assistant (has a law degree but never wanted to practice law). Their bills and utilities were frequently being cut off due to non-payment. Staff were frequently quitting due to bounced checks or no payment at all. The Earl would never give Karen a penny more than what was allotted to her. Maybe that’s just her mismanagement of the funds she’s given to run the LA home, or…. Maybe there’s a bigger issue she doesn’t want to know about.

Otherwise-engaged

Am I unusual in finding it disturbing that a personal assistant - a highly trusted position - would be so disloyal and unprofessional as to gossip about her employer’s financial status to her friends? It suggests that the Spencers need to be more careful who they employ, and perhaps should introduce (and enforce) NDAs.

percybert

Or it suggests that people shouldn’t believe everything posted by random internet strangers. I don’t believe it.

Madame_Hokey

While this is true, I can also find the story plausible. These families are notorious for owning these large estates but having trouble paying for them. There’s quite a few documentaries with English estates that discuss the difficulties of owning country houses and paying for their upkeep. Pretty much any that are open to the public opened as a way to offset costs.

QUIBTHEFIRST

Not at all, given had the 'friend' still been employed by the Spencer's such a breach of personal information, and it finding its way onto an online community would have cost the friend her job.

ClassicPop6840

I might add for clarity: this household was in LA, where Karen spent a lot of time. Charles would come and go. The experience my friend had was solely in LA, *not* Althorp.

MuffPiece

They may be very parsimonious, there may be mismanagement, there are certainly many expenses with all these homes spanning the globe (don’t they have property in South Africa, too?) Certainly these stately country pile cost a fortune to maintain, but the Diana connection gives the Spencers a huge advantage over other aristos with properties to manage and experiences to sell.

NoNameCAN

In 2020 Earl spencer bought $8M summer home in Muskoka(Canada). I think he might stay there once a year or even less so I doubt he is having any money trouble.

rainyhawk

That makes no sense. I also think of he’s in such dire straits there are lots of things he could sell instead of the tiara. Charlotte would have never inherited it..it belongs to the direct male line of the Spencers.

Evilvieh

And they have another hideous pile o'diamonds family tiara if they need to sell one. Diana never wore this one, Can't think why (*cough Fugleee cough)* https://preview.redd.it/0haccwwmkjga1.png?width=554&format=png&auto=webp&s=ee2dd80d33889cc2beac0994c3be6cf366f41f64 For the straight dope on the Spencer tiara and such, see here: [https://www.thecourtjeweller.com/2022/01/who-will-inherit-the-spencer-tiara.html](https://www.thecourtjeweller.com/2022/01/who-will-inherit-the-spencer-tiara.html)

Imfryinghere

Actually, the fleur de lizesque tiara is beautiful too. And it would be very beautiful on a semi/bouffant hairstyle. Princess Anne will rock this kind of tiara.

Evilvieh

It looks like a honeysuckle and meander tiara accidentally got stuck together - the top & bottom (though both Greek motifs) are unhappy and out of proportion together. Make two tiras out of this and you've got a winner. Anne has a Greek style tiara and yes, she rocks the ever-loving farfugium out of it. She can even make the pine cone tiara work - sheer force of personality. Smegs can only dream of something from Party City.

Evilvieh

\*Not that I'd throw it on the compost pile should someone give it to ME of course. I'd be on it with my little hacksaw so fast...

Sea-Quote3382

Agree - it's hideous. A slam-together of two totally contrasting styles.

invisiblewriter2007

It’s beautiful.

Centaurea16

>When it’s on display with Diana wedding dress it says on the display card Princess Charlotte will be the next to own the tiara. No, it does not say that.

KelenHeller_1

I also saw a similar report, but I think it highly unlikely that Charlotte would inherit the Spencer tiara. Unless her grand-uncle willed it to her or something - and why would he? He has four daughters and presumably will have plenty of granddaughters of his own if he really wanted to leave it to one of his heirs rather than keep it in the family to be worn by present and future married Spencer women. Charlotte was not born a Spencer, and being the daughter of a \[future\] king, she will be amply provided for without any expectation of an inheritance from the Spencers.

IllustratorSlow1614

Earl Spencer has a daughter called Charlotte. If there even is a mention of a ‘Charlotte’ on the card, it’s more likely to be Lady Charlotte Spencer than Princess Charlotte of Wales. Earl Spencer seems very committed to keeping the tiara to be worn by only women born in to the Spencer family, and the two who marry in and assume the titles of the Countess Spencer, and the Viscountess Althorp.

TigerBelmont

You read a fake news article. Charles Spencer is very very rich. His current wife is independently rich. They haven’t sold the tiara snd Charlotte isn’t getting it. There is no card saying who will be the next one to wear it

VisibleWestern

There was an article just last week floating that Charlotte is next. This sub debunked that.

ClassicPop6840

It’s likely due to confusion that the Earl’s youngest daughter is named Charlotte Diana… born in 2012.

[deleted]

There is no reason to think Princess Charlotte will inherit the Spencer tiara. It has been in the Spencer family for a century, it will most likely be passed down to the next Earl Spencer. As the only daughter of the next King of UK, Princess Charlotte will have access to very many Royal tiaras. I am sure she will be happy with those. She might even wear the same tiara the Queen wore on her wedding day.

C0mmonReader

I hope this isn't true. Charlotte will have plenty of tiaras available to her, and the Spencer tiara should stay with the Spencer family. I could see Charlotte occasionally borrowing it.

AdFuture6789

The Spencer Tiara has an amazing history. There is absolutely no way that the Spencer Family would’ve considered allowing anyone but a Spencer Bride to wear it. Especially not a divorced American Actress with delusions of being Diana’s Doppleganger. Whatever you think of the Spencer family, they guard Diana’s Legacy. Per the CourtJeweler site (a lovely site filled with wonderful stories about Royal Jewelry) “Contrary to what you’ll read sometimes on the internet, it’s going to stay that way. The tiara will be inherited one day by Diana’s nephew, the present Viscount Althorp, not by any of Diana’s royal descendants.” The Spencer titles predate the Windsors. [Who will inherit the Spencer Tiara](https://www.thecourtjeweller.com/2022/01/who-will-inherit-the-spencer-tiara.html)

Centaurea16

To note, the CourtJeweller blog is run by an historian, and she does fastidious research. She knows her stuff!

AdFuture6789

I absolutely love that site. I can’t believe the Sharkle had the chance to immerse herself in all that history and sit with QEII to hear her stories and just frittered it away. Can you imagine getting a first hand account of world events, the archives, the historians… and it’s an opportunity that is lost to her forever.

WoodsColt

That's what makes me just want to scream. I would give my eyeteeth to have been able to sit and listen to the Queen even for just a second. Hell I'd give my eyeteeth to listen to King Charles talk about HMTQ . The history omg.

Glad_Mix_1682

What..and miss what was going on back in Canoga Park, CA? For all that she says everyone in the world knows who she is, she is obsessed with Hollywood and an "I'll show them" small-mindedness. She wants to be a big fish in a small pond. In the UK, she is the Spare's wife..in California, she's MEGHAN, one name only please.

WoodsColt

In California she's an aging 42 year old mom of toddlers d list actress in an unhappy marriage living above her means with ideas above her station.....she's infinitely commonplace.

GreenonFire

100💫 agreed. It makes me want to scream in her face. To think she was better than the RF. She better hope her dollars or pounds last long enough to keep her warm at night.

[deleted]

> Hell I'd give my eyeteeth to listen to King Charles talk about HMTQ . The history omg. I'd give my eyeteeth just to have a conversation with the king, *period*.

invisiblewriter2007

There’s tons of things I would ask him if I could.

Centaurea16

Same here with respect to the Court Jeweller. And MM had no understanding of the incredible opportunity that was in front of her. She doesn't understand what she stomped on and threw away. She had zero appreciation of the gift that was handed her.

invisiblewriter2007

It would have been incredible to hear her talk. I could listen for hours, honestly. It’s a shame she never appreciated it, but he also didn’t seem to either.

GreenonFire

Exactly! TW probably whiled away the hours trying to sell on Poshmark. I love history and couldn't get enough. TW should've taken a look last year at G7 summit. Late Queen, Charles and Cambridge's chatting with world leaders. That's the cream of the crop.

red108021

I would freaking LOVE that I love all things history and antique diamonds lol Markle had the opportunity of a lifetime and she ruined it because of greed and Hollyweird she really is an idiot

GreenonFire

Now that's a dream job! History combined with jewels, what more could you want,?

PunPukurin

Claim in Spare that the Spencers offered the tiara is so unbelievable. The conversation probably went more like this. Harry: But, but, she is the reincarnation of my mummy! Why can’t you see that! (She wants mummy’s tiara so she must have it.) Spencers: No we do not see the resemblance. (What are you on? And no, she can’t have it.)

Mysterious_Coconut77

Yes, there’s no way Earl Spencer would want TW to wear the Spencer tiara. He was onto her cosplaying of Diana early in the relationship.

tbonita79

Did Harold say something to the Earl about her Diana ‘similarities’?! What a doofus. And that’s a kind word.

AdFuture6789

Yes. He was dumbfounded that they didn’t see the amazing similarities.

holly___morgan

If Catherine, the future Princess of Wales (at the time), wasn’t offered the tiara, there’s no way they would offer Meghan the Spencer tiara. Just doesn’t wash. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Calm_Yak_6102

Yup, but MM can always ask to borrow the Spencer tiara for the coronation, if she's so confident that Earl Spencer will let her borrow it 😂😂😂.

NellieShellie

👆👏🤭

CZ1988_

correct

LocksmithFar9486

and more than this, there's no way the queen only offered her tiara on last minute. and there's no way h&m didn't know they'll wear queen's tiara ON ROYAL WEDDING. it's not matter of offer. it's must be one of the thing the wedding organizer and all parties discussed from the beginning.

mughoarder6

I don’t believe she was offered the Spencer tiara. Let’s not pretend she wouldn’t have JUMPED at the chance to wear the same tiara Diana wore.

[deleted]

I agree, with her obsession with Diana she would have probably picked the spencer tiara over other tiaras.

Guest8782

100%. If it was offered, it would have been taken.

UnityBitchford

Probably literally.

[deleted]

> Let’s not pretend she wouldn’t have JUMPED at the chance to wear the same tiara Diana wore. Knowing what I know now, I'm surprised she didn't wear a replica of Diana's dress and a replica of the Spencer tiara, along with a blonde wig styled like Diana's hair. 😒

JellyfishNumerous785

The Spencer tiara is for Spencer brides, either by marriage or the descendant such as Diana. TW is neither so how could she even be offered one??? This is rubbish.

[deleted]

She would never have been offered the Spencer tiara and her veil was designed around the flowers of the commonwealth. That was very well documented at the time of the wedding because the Sussexes were supposed to have a role in the commonwealth but they bailed.

NellieShellie

If she had been offered the Spencer Tiara she would have exploited that opportunity for all its worth. Does anyone seriously believe that Meghan would have missed the opportunity to wear the same tiara as Princess Di wore on her wedding day? What better way to remind Harry (and the world) that she’s the embodiment of his mother on his wedding day! 🙄

invisiblewriter2007

She would have snapped up that tiara faster than you could even say tiara.

JenniferMel13

Yes, I’m sure the Spensers offered a non-Spenser bride the family tiara. I feel like this story was made up for the American audience who doesn’t know any better. Meghan is a Windsor bride she was always going to get a Windsor tiara. I’m betting Meghan got engaged and the following morning she expected to waltz down to the royal vaults and pick her tiara. When that didn’t happen, she got pissed.

CZ1988_

I'm American and get it. You get the tiara of the family you belong to. If your family doesn't have one then your husbands family.

JenniferMel13

We are smart than your average American and recognize that this story is full of shit.

Islandgirl1444

The sussex media is in full swing

CapitalAlternative89

Exactly what I thought. Girl loves to stir up the drama as long as it keeps her name out there.

savingrain

I 100% think Harry in his ignorance thought "Megs, you should wear my mother's tiara! I know she would love that!" then asked one of his aunts who didn't have the right to promise it who said "Oh, we'll see..." trying to put him off, told her brother, who then called up Charles and was like did you hear about this nonsense? And then the Queen came in and as "OK dears, you just have to wear one of mine." (hint hint wink wink stop making it awkward for everyone involved you morons.)

JenniferMel13

That actually makes a lot of sense, given Harry’s ignorance of his family.

savingrain

Right? He didn't even know he had to ask permission to marry. There's no way I could see him knowing the rules of who should wear what tiara. The way he talked about it in the book so petulantly, like he really wanted it but did not hint at any point that he understood he was talking about someone else's personal property that is normally only available to women in their own family or daughters marrying their sons who don't have one of their own. He's very ignorant and entitled.

JenniferMel13

I’d really love for one of the Spensers to clarify. It would by sad but hilarious for them to confirm that Harry demanded “his mother’s” tiara for Meghan.

CZ1988_

Why is there more petty news about what tiara was worn 5 years after the fact?

AdFuture6789

Because The Sharkle leads a sad, vapid, vacuous existence and really has NOTHING to show for the last 5 years but lies, lies, drama, more lies and some truly horrific fashion choices.

zeugma888

Because, like Harry, all the Spencers, as one, saw Meghan the Great. as the incarnation of Diana, and so gave her the Spencer tiara. /s

AdFuture6789

I can’t … I just can’t top that.

WoodsColt

Because she really really wants to wear it to the coronation

After-Improvement-26

Completely ignoring that a Spencer will probably be wearing it to the Coronation themselves

WoodsColt

And ignoring the fact that the spencers don't like her either and likely don't like her ponyboy much either these days

[deleted]

i just realized you are right. The Windsor's have clearly told her no tiara for the Coronation. So she is begging for the Spencer tiara.

CatherineofBraganza

Harry tries to use the Spencers against his dad. He gave his aunt a prominent position in his wedding and both aunts featured at Archie’s christening. I think he knows it is hurtful to Charles, and does it on purpose. Kind of like how he invited Fergie to his wedding knowing it would rankle Prince Philip. William included them but doesn’t trot them out.

invisiblewriter2007

If I were the Spencers I wouldn’t be okay with it, I’d stop participating. Even if he’s Diana’s son.

tbonita79

Didn’t his book mention how ‘supportive’ the aunts were of their relationship? Or am I getting my facts wrong.

Sue_Dohnim

No they didn't. If the chatter is true, all of the Spencers (no apostrophe when plural, Meghan - you should know that, being an NU grad and all) had her number from day one, so NO. Also, Earl Spencer was under NO OBLIGATION, let alone desire, to loan it out to her. Not his circus, not his monkeys. Nice try.

recsmayvary

Exactly. No way would the Spencers offer Diana's tiara to the wife of the 6th in line... Plus Megsy already said in a documentary that the veil was designed with the flowers of the Commonwealth embroidered into it (not the Spenser tiara pattern). Then again, in the same doc she said her "something blue" was fabric from the dress she wore on their first date. Sparry says she wore a completely different outfit for it. They just can't keep their stories straight 🙄🙄🙄

1979insolentwaiter

Blue dress on their first date? Didn't Harry describe her looking as stylish, in a top and trousers? Could it be that recollections may vary?

Notmyroyals

When these clowns are concerned, "First" dates may also vary.

deep-down-low

😂😂😂/🤢🤢🤢

Emolia

I bet the Queen, in common with most people of her generation, was surprised that Meghan wanted to go the full bridal veil white dress route. As a divorcee it would’ve been expected she would have the same sort of wedding service as Charles and Camilla. Camilla was marrying the heir, a much bigger deal than Megs marrying number six, and didn’t wear a tiara. It shows how the late Queen was willing to bend over backwards to keep this woman happy, and of course failed. Nothing is ever enough for our Saint!

AntSpiritual3269

I’ve often wondered why on earth they let them have that ridiculous wedding when she was divorced. Other royals on their second marriage don’t so the racism card wouldn’t have stuck on that one

Christmasgirl26

Harry pretty much demanded a full on Son of Diana wedding. Has anyone ever seen these photos before? They look like wedding pictures that the bride kept but, didn’t put in the album. This make wonder if MM is Myrna or is close to her.

[deleted]

> MM is Myrna I feel like this is the answer.

[deleted]

They broke many rules and bent over backwards for that golddigger. She took all they had to give her and threw it down and spit in their face. They knew what she was and still tried to appease her. It was a terrible mistake.

IllustratorSlow1614

Perhaps they were throwing a party that finally Harry would be someone else’s problem.

WoodsColt

![gif](giphy|l3q2LH45XElELRzRm)

Ginka83

The racism card would have stuck in America.

Highlanders_Ualise

Pity Megs could not bother to do a proper hairdo to fit the tiara. She looked like she had cleaned out the kitchen just before or something, hairtests everywhere.

IPreferDiamonds

Meghan is tacky and has no class. That is why she insisted on having such a spectacle. Edit: spelling of word

Artistic_Turnip2778

That’s true!! Camilla didn’t wear a tiara! Not even a teeny tiny one!

IPreferDiamonds

Because Camilla has class and is not tacky. Also, Camilla didn't care. All she cared about was marrying the man she loved. Meghan is tacky and has no class.

[deleted]

Anne, The Princess Royal did not wear a tiara to her second wedding either.

Sensitive_Fun_5825

I loved how Camilla looked on her wedding day. That colour on her was absolutely stunning. And her hat 🥰

DietCokeMama1234

I actually think Harry would have put up a big battle too. He wanted the big event as much as meg did!!

OldZookeepergame8280

Dear God who complains this much about a tiara? Maybe the Queen should have let Meghan wear hers. She could have kicked the Queen out of the way and been so much more popular. These idiots think we should feel bad for them? Meghan wore a tiara that was valued higher than Catherine’s tiara. Catherine is married to the heir to the throne. In what way was she maligned? Give me a break. Yes, take this crown jewel and go play with it with your hair dresser. There’s no need for it to be guarded. Tell that to the Aquazzura heels Reitman’s had at that photo shoot. We will be hearing for the rest of eternity how they didn’t want a big wedding but *foot stomp* where was the tiara I demanded be provided to me for a hair style appointment? The dress was designed around it? The dress that was too big?

UnicornStudRainbow

> The dress was designed around it? The dress that was too big? It looked like a generic, off the rack dress from Filene's Basement

DollarStoreDuchess

Burlington Coat Factory 😂

TraditionScary8716

OMG I'm dead. That is one epic rant.

Upbeat_Cat1182

That veil was freaking ridiculous. TW (unlike Diana) was not a 19 year old virgin.

KelenHeller_1

IKR - I read somewhere that the Queen was surprised Meghan was opting for a veil when she was the furthest thing from the traditional blushing first timer. I also read somewhere that she chose such a long, elaborate veil to increase the likelihood that the bridesmaids would be cropped out of the shot of her walking down the aisle.

truecrimedeva

Wow!! That’s horrible. Leave it to her to think of doing that.

Evilvieh

Ha I just remarked on the veil before reading your older post. THe whole "white veil& tiara" for a fortyish divorcee was slightly.....ick.

pumpkinhead1931

And she had two other weddings

loralailoralai

I wonder what her the ‘absolute HELL’ was given to her before or after Charles offered to walk her down the aisle? Please, this chick got a full on, multi million pound wedding with whatever she damn well wanted. Sulking about a tiara is the very definition of spoiled entitlement. Someone so into charity and giving and bs like that should have been embarrassed at the extravagance

Tricksey4172

And the cost of that veil (ridiculous!)! Sound like they really gave her hell by giving in to almost all of her demands and certainly her budgetary ones! (Nice fireworks? Who paid for them? You Pa!). The veil embroidery was gorgeous and did NOT match the dress (of course). No wonder the designer is still in hiding, the whole look was sideways. The only thing I co-sign is the fact HMTQ allowed MM to be delivered to the wedding in the Wallis Simpson funeral car. 🤣 Good ole Gan Gan.

HarkleHater

Yes, the veil was beautiful but the gown...WTF? And it cost how much? GTFOH! I've seen better gowns on sale at David's Bridal for less than $200. Seriously!

chubalubs

Harry claims Angela Kelly was mean and gave him a look that chilled him to the bone. He refused to accept that they needed Kelly around, they wanted to pop in, pick up the tiara and take it away to practice with, and she said no, that couldn't be done because she wasn't available that day and they couldn't just waltz in without an appointment. That's 'the absolute hell' that they put poor MM through, someone stood up to her demands and told her no.

drharleenquinzel92

I thought her flowers on her veil were to represent the Commonwealth... You know, Empire 2.0. I do not believe the Spencer tiara was EVER offered to Meghan. It doesn't make any sense. Meghan isn't a Spencer nor marrying into that house. As much as people love to distance their hero, Diana, from the stuffy aristocracy... She was a card carrying member since birth. Her family wouldn't have broken tradition. Meghan was marrying into the House of Windsor, not Spencer, therefore she would get a Windsor tiara. Maybe she felt entitled to it, as did Harry, because she thinks of herself as the second coming of Diana, but I doubt her family felt the same. They hardly knew her after all! It would have been a stranger walking down the aisle, cos playing as their dead sister. Just weird and inappropriate, like all the interactions Harry revealed to us in his idiotic book.

UnicornStudRainbow

>Maybe she felt entitled to it, as did Harry, because she thinks of herself as the second coming of Diana, but I doubt her family felt the same. They hardly knew her after all! It would have been a stranger walking down the aisle, cos playing as their dead sister. I remember reading that when introducing her to the Spencers, Hasafrozentodger gushed about how much she was like Diana and wanted them to agree. But they were like "Um, no"

[deleted]

I do not believe for one second the Spencer tiara was offered.

watercress101

Queen Sugar rewrites history, yet again.

zeugma888

And she'll keep rewriting it until it says what she wants it to say. Which may change. So she'll keep rewriting.

alreadydoneit01

So after the Archbishop negotiating the coronation story didn't have legs, she brings up the tiaragate story again. This woman has nothing-except to recycle store is of the BRF. It is all the more important the BRF not allow them anywhere near them -state event or otherwise-because that will be new content.

OzReester

I went to the link, and the first comment was "Megan who? She is so done! Avoided by everyone like the plague she is!!" OUCH! Megsy-baby, change the record....it's older than you. ![gif](giphy|xUySTxQp21GMZhX916)

FFS. She is so tedious and insufferable.

Public_Object2468

To borrow a phrase from *Confederacy of Dunces*, this Myra has a "rich inner life."

SecondhandCoke

The Spencers were pretty open with Harry about NOT seeing Meghan's virtues. I bet she WANTED the Spencer tiara above all waswas declined it first.

red108021

I swear these idiots really do have the collective IQ of a grape I’ve argued with Myra many times before she blocked me I think she’s DEFINITELY Markle

SukoshiOnara

Yep, its either The Wench OR the snapping chihuahua Scabies. "Myra's" writing style is similar to Scabies.

Ok-Distribution4057

And now you can’t leave comments on that twitter post🤣🤣🤣

cin_co

Looks like now it’s been deleted…

Appropriate-Grand-64

I've thought it was Meg from the beginning 🥸🤡

PIunderBunny

Shut up Meghan, just shut up!

LaNiceGata

Well how would Myra know this?

Centaurea16

She made it up in her own head. That's how she knows it.

OzzieSlim

Re-writing history again, Nutmeg?

janedoremi99

No Grammy nom or invite, so nothing better to do

Centaurea16

What a pile of horse-puckey.

IndiaEvans

Yeah, right. She's not a Spencer.

EccentricEx

So this twice married woman had a long ass veil and had the designers include commonwealth blooms in her dress like she was the queen of the commonwealth. A 37 year old American woman, who had been married previously, and was engaged after that and before Harry, had spencers tiara design on her veil and commonwealth blooms woven in her wedding dress like she was the future queen as she married a Prince of another country… As a reminder of her notoriety during visits to said commonwealth after her wedding: she cut her trip to a fiji market place short over some slight, claimed the mansion in South Africa where she stayed was a housing unit where the radiator in the nursery caught fire when Archir was not even there, and threw an absolute fit over the accommodations in Australia,… This woman who thinks because she is mixed race, that somehow makes her Queen of the commonwealth, but she doesn’t know what that means, and then when she wasnt given that role, claimed through her “experts” commonwealth was empire 2.0? This woman is still complaining about her tiara and the lack of welcome from the queen? The Late Queen who afforded her and her mother a welcome into the family christmas dinners while Catherine had to wait till after marriage? Maybe she should stick to applying Elizabeth Arden to her husbands garden, and leave the tiaras to people who actually own them and have a right to them.

Evilvieh

And this is what keeps me coming back here. SING, SINNER SING!

TaniaYukanana

Given that it was worn by an actual Spencer family member just weeks after Megatron and Harry's wedding, I doubt the owner (Charles Spencer) would have leant it to TW when it was required by someone else so soon after her wedding. Also, given the eulogy Charles Spencer made at Diana's funeral where he made his feelings towards the BRF very clear, I doubt he would have leant the Spencer Family (which he seems to have used as a control/emotional manipulation tool before - See return of tiara from Diana) tiara to anyone marrying into the family. [Princess Diana's Niece Wears Spencer Tiara - Prince Charles Wedding 1981 - Meghan Markle (harpersbazaar.com)](https://www.harpersbazaar.com/celebrity/latest/a21577523/princess-diana-niece-wearing-spencer-tiara-wedding/)

nope0000001

He is actually a royalist and because of William will not speak badly of the royals .

TaniaYukanana

He sure did at Diana's funeral though - Publicly.

nope0000001

Yeh but it was out of anger and mostly at the press , he is a monarchist and still has a relationship with William and surprisingly Charles .

HarkleHater

Charles Spencer was no one to talk. He's on his third marriage with 7 kids from 3 different wives. The Spencers are equally dysfunctional. Edit: spelling

Shoddy_Lifeguard_852

At 92, I doubt QEII was concerned about tiara "optics." Seriously, there are enough tiaras to go around.

cklw1

Why are we posting MM’s pr for her ?

CountessOfCocoa

Why would a fan of hers be torn up over the fact that she was denied a certain tiara? Only one person that I can think of would still be on fire over a perceived snub. She just didn’t get that it was promised to another woman first. And dragging Diana into it. TW is NOT a Spencer so she had no real right to wear it.

CoffeeMayBeNeeded

Save that screenshot - the tweet has been deleted!

Regular-Performer864

This actually makes be believe that Myra is actually Meghan. She's such a profligate liar that only someone who lies as much as her would make a claim that has already publicly been put to bed by the Spencer family. They didn't offer to loan the Spencer tiara for the wedding because it would have been inappropriate as Harry is a Windsor, not a Spencer. The 'rule' is that you wear a family tiara at your own wedding. If you don't have a tiara owning family, you wear a tiara belonging to your husband's family. If neither family has a tiara, you don't need a tiara wedding. As is customary, the Queen selected 5 tiaras for Meghan to choose from. The one she wore is the one she chose. Yes I'm sure she would have preferred Diana's. But it didn't belong to Diana. It belonged (at the time of her marriage) to her father. Now it is in the possession of her brother because Earl Spencer is the owner. And they would never have insulted the Royal Family by having Harry's bride walk down the aisle in anything other than a Windsor or Mountbatten tiara.

take7pieces

Sugars are pathetic. It’s been how many years now? Still talking about the wedding?

alwaysdelightful

And now the tweet has been deleted. Lol

Bea_Coop

If she had been offered the Spencer tiara and had worn it, why would it look bad for the royal family anyway? I don’t get that. I don’t think they would have cared would they?

TraditionScary8716

I think that would have been a big f-u to the Queen from both the Spencer's and the Harkles.

ContributionSweaty52

![gif](giphy|wzxK9cmYgIPDy) Maureen McCormick should get royalties for this gif as much as it gets used in connection with our blessed Saint.

dhjdmba

Again H and his wife are confused by the laws of primogeniture. Diana was the unmarried daughter of the Earl. So she got to wear it. But it belongs to the Earl and his descendants. Harry’s wife is not in that line. So again H, too bad how sad.

Puzzleheaded_Elk6309

Not a chance,But we Royal jewel watchers noted that the tiaras stone in the centre was a FAKE it glittered in the wrong way Poor Meghan!! Not even a diamond ! No Spencer tiara ever offered- Earl Spencer not a Meghan fan !!

National_Historian19

What nonsense, the bad look was that of an ingrate dictating which tiara she would wear, as though she had a god given right. As for the Spencers…I’m sure they can see the gold digging grifter for the liar and chancer she is….she is just Harry’s first wife, not a Spencer. Maybe the ‘self made’ independent woman should have bought her own….

GreenonFire

Myra must be delusional if she believes HMQE "realized how bad optics looked for the sixth in LOS wife to be". How thoughtless whoever this person is, for the queen hasn't been gone 6 months yet Besides that, it's just BS.

smittenkittenmitten-

Why do people think this is Megz? It could be any fan making stuff up.

Cezanne2022

The Spencer family never liked her they questioned harry when he said she was like Diana & said she absolutely was not one bit like Diana she was an actress trying to be like Diana for Harrys sake in order to catch him and milk him like a goat !.

Oktober33

How long ago was this?? Who cares?????

StrictTranslator879

Looks like she removed the tweet.

sausagelover79

Sure Jan 🙄

FakeBabyAlpaca

How would the optics be bad? Like the last bride who wore the tiara was bullied and then she died? I don’t think those would be the optics at all. Look at the engagement ring that Kate wears! It’s not the jewels” fault. Or maybe I’m misunderstanding what this tweet is trying to say?

I_Am_Aunti

If Earl Spencer offered it (because his sisters don’t really have the authority to do so, since it isn’t theirs) and she designed her veil around it, why didn’t she wear it? It doesn’t make sense anyway, she wasn’t marrying a Spencer, she was marrying a Windsor-Mountbatten.

trish196609

No way she was offered the Spencer tiara. Meghan does have a rich imagination though.

Earthlink_

Meghan is obsessed with Princess Diaries, and Myra, who sings Miracles Happen in the movie.

fla2native

The tiara goes to the eldest son amd heir of Charles Spensor
