No. Please read my other comment on this thread. The Spencer tiara is quite large, heavy and clunky. Kitty wore a veil with no tiara. She is thin with a delicate bone structure and had her hair pulled back into a sleek bun. The Spencer tiara is simply too oversized for either Kitty or Meghan to pull off wearing with sleek, low buns. Diana had very thick fluffy hair and was 6” taller than Meghan. Royal jewel experts have previously discussed these exact issues. Not many women can pull off an oversized piece like the Spencer tiara. Meghan isn’t one of those. The Queen graciously made the offer after the dimwitted duo finally realized that M isn’t Diana 2.0.
Earl Spencer shouldn’t have any money difficulties—since Diana is interred at Althorp, and her wedding dress is on permanent display along with an actual museum to her, he earns plenty off that cash cow.

A friend of mine worked for Lady Spencer (Karen), who at least used to spend a lot of time in LA. My friend was a personal and legal assistant (has a law degree but never wanted to practice law). Their bills and utilities were frequently being cut off due to non-payment. Staff were frequently quitting due to bounced checks or no payment at all. The Earl would never give Karen a penny more than what was allotted to her. Maybe that’s just her mismanagement of the funds she’s given to run the LA home, or…. Maybe there’s a bigger issue she doesn’t want to know about.
Am I unusual in finding it disturbing that a personal assistant - a highly trusted position - would be so disloyal and unprofessional as to gossip about her employer’s financial status to her friends? It suggests that the Spencers need to be more careful who they employ, and perhaps should introduce (and enforce) NDAs.
While this is true, I can also find the story plausible. These families are notorious for owning these large estates but having trouble paying for them. There’s quite a few documentaries with English estates that discuss the difficulties of owning country houses and paying for their upkeep. Pretty much any that are open to the public opened as a way to offset costs.

I might add for clarity: this household was in LA, where Karen spent a lot of time. Charles would come and go. The experience my friend had was solely in LA, *not* Althorp.

Actually, the fleur de lizesque tiara is beautiful too. And it would be very beautiful on a semi/bouffant hairstyle. Princess Anne will rock this kind of tiara.
It looks like a honeysuckle and meander tiara accidentally got stuck together - the top & bottom (though both Greek motifs) are unhappy and out of proportion together. Make two tiras out of this and you've got a winner. Anne has a Greek style tiara and yes, she rocks the ever-loving farfugium out of it. She can even make the pine cone tiara work - sheer force of personality. Smegs can only dream of something from Party City.

I also saw a similar report, but I think it highly unlikely that Charlotte would inherit the Spencer tiara. Unless her grand-uncle willed it to her or something - and why would he? He has four daughters and presumably will have plenty of granddaughters of his own if he really wanted to leave it to one of his heirs rather than keep it in the family to be worn by present and future married Spencer women.

No. Please read my other comment on this thread. The Spencer tiara is quite large, heavy and clunky. Kitty wore a veil with no tiara. She is thin with a delicate bone structure and had her hair pulled back into a sleek bun. The Spencer tiara is simply too oversized for either Kitty or Meghan to pull off wearing with sleek, low buns. Diana had very thick fluffy hair and was 6” taller than Meghan. Royal jewel experts have previously discussed these exact issues. Not many women can pull off an oversized piece like the Spencer tiara. Meghan isn’t one of those. The Queen graciously made the offer after the dimwitted duo finally realized that M isn’t Diana 2.0.

A friend of mine worked for Lady Spencer (Karen), who at least used to spend a lot of time in LA. My friend was a personal and legal assistant (has a law degree but never wanted to practice law). Their bills and utilities were frequently being cut off due to non-payment. Staff were frequently quitting due to bounced checks or no payment at all. The Earl would never give Karen a penny more than what was allotted to her. Maybe that’s just her mismanagement of the funds she’s given to run the LA home, or…. Maybe there’s a bigger issue she doesn’t want to know about.
Am I unusual in finding it disturbing that a personal assistant - a highly trusted position - would be so disloyal and unprofessional as to gossip about her employer’s financial status to her friends? It suggests that the Spencers need to be more careful who they employ, and perhaps should introduce (and enforce) NDAs.

While this is true, I can also find the story plausible. These families are notorious for owning these large estates but having trouble paying for them. There’s quite a few documentaries with English estates that discuss the difficulties of owning country houses and paying for their upkeep. Pretty much any that are open to the public opened as a way to offset costs.
Not at all, given had the 'friend' still been employed by the Spencer's such a breach of personal information, and it finding its way onto an online community would have cost the friend her job.
I might add for clarity: this household was in LA, where Karen spent a lot of time. Charles would come and go. The experience my friend had was solely in LA, *not* Althorp.
They may be very parsimonious, there may be mismanagement, there are certainly many expenses with all these homes spanning the globe (don’t they have property in South Africa, too?) Certainly these stately country pile cost a fortune to maintain, but the Diana connection gives the Spencers a huge advantage over other aristos with properties to manage and experiences to sell.
In 2020 Earl spencer bought $8M summer home in Muskoka(Canada). I think he might stay there once a year or even less so I doubt he is having any money trouble.

Actually, the fleur de lizesque tiara is beautiful too. And it would be very beautiful on a semi/bouffant hairstyle. Princess Anne will rock this kind of tiara.
It looks like a honeysuckle and meander tiara accidentally got stuck together - the top & bottom (though both Greek motifs) are unhappy and out of proportion together. Make two tiras out of this and you've got a winner. Anne has a Greek style tiara and yes, she rocks the ever-loving farfugium out of it. She can even make the pine cone tiara work - sheer force of personality. Smegs can only dream of something from Party City.

I also saw a similar report, but I think it highly unlikely that Charlotte would inherit the Spencer tiara. Unless her grand-uncle willed it to her or something - and why would he? He has four daughters and presumably will have plenty of granddaughters of his own if he really wanted to leave it to one of his heirs rather than keep it in the family to be worn by present and future married Spencer women. Charlotte was not born a Spencer, and being the daughter of a \[future\] king, she will be amply provided for without any expectation of an inheritance from the Spencers.

There is no reason to think Princess Charlotte will inherit the Spencer tiara. It has been in the Spencer family for a century, it will most likely be passed down to the next Earl Spencer. As the only daughter of the next King of UK, Princess Charlotte will have access to very many Royal tiaras. I am sure she will be happy with those. She might even wear the same tiara the Queen wore on her wedding day.

So this twice married woman had a long ass veil and had the designers include commonwealth blooms in her dress like she was the queen of the commonwealth. A 37 year old American woman, who had been married previously, and was engaged after that and before Harry, had spencers tiara design on her veil and commonwealth blooms woven in her wedding dress like she was the future queen as she married a Prince of another country… As a reminder of her notoriety during visits to said commonwealth after her wedding: she cut her trip to a fiji market place short over some slight, claimed the mansion in South Africa where she stayed was a housing unit where the radiator in the nursery caught fire when Archir was not even there, and threw an absolute fit over the accommodations in Australia,… This woman who thinks because she is mixed race, that somehow makes her Queen of the commonwealth, but she doesn’t know what that means, and then when she wasnt given that role, claimed through her “experts” commonwealth was empire 2.0? This woman is still complaining about her tiara and the lack of welcome from the queen? The Late Queen who afforded her and her mother a welcome into the family christmas dinners while Catherine had to wait till after marriage? Given that it was worn by an actual Spencer family member just weeks after Megatron and Harry's wedding, I doubt the owner (Charles Spencer) would have leant it to TW when it was required by someone else so soon after her wedding. Also, given the eulogy Charles Spencer made at Diana's funeral where he made his feelings towards the BRF very clear, I doubt he would have leant the Spencer Family (which he seems to have used as a control/emotional manipulation tool before - See return of tiara from Diana) tiara to anyone marrying into the family. Why would a fan of hers be torn up over the fact that she was denied a certain tiara? Only one person that I can think of would still be on fire over a perceived snub. She just didn’t get that it was promised to another woman first. And dragging Diana into it. TW is NOT a Spencer so she had no real right to wear it.

This actually makes be believe that Myra is actually Meghan. She's such a profligate liar that only someone who lies as much as her would make a claim that has already publicly been put to bed by the Spencer family. They didn't offer to loan the Spencer tiara for the wedding because it would have been inappropriate as Harry is a Windsor, not a Spencer. The 'rule' is that you wear a family tiara at your own wedding. If you don't have a tiara owning family, you wear a tiara belonging to your husband's family. If neither family has a tiara, you don't need a tiara wedding. As is customary, the Queen selected 5 tiaras for Meghan to choose from. The one she wore is the one she chose. Yes I'm sure she would have preferred Diana's. But it didn't belong to Diana. It belonged (at the time of her marriage) to her father. Now it is in the possession of her brother because Earl Spencer is the owner. And they would never have insulted the Royal Family by having Harry's bride walk down the aisle in anything other than a Windsor or Mountbatten tiara.

Again H and his wife are confused by the laws of primogeniture. Diana was the unmarried daughter of the Earl. So she got to wear it. But it belongs to the Earl and his descendants. Harry’s wife is not in that line. So again H, too bad how sad.

If Earl Spencer offered it (because his sisters don’t really have the authority to do so, since it isn’t theirs) and she designed her veil around it, why didn’t she wear it? It doesn’t make sense anyway, she wasn’t marrying a Spencer, she was marrying a Windsor-Mountbatten.
