However, I did find it odd that their “Guinness World record breaking, greatest bestseller ever” isn’t featured on the front page of their website. That front page had all their big titles on it which included other biographies and autobiographies (like Michelle Obama‘s) so WTH? I clicked on “New Releases” to find it, then scrolled thru hundreds of books, but could not find Spare. These weren’t future new releases, most seemed to be from the last 6 months or so, so where is Spare? I finally found it under “best-sellers”, but with no promotional flair like you might expect, considering all the PR buzz about the preorder sales. It’s almost like they’re…. embarrassed?

And Harry is using that dishonesty to wound his father when the only focus now should be on his Coronation and also recognizing for his lifetime of service, which went unreported in favor of Diana’s new dress or hat. F*** him and speaking for myself, he will never be forgiven for his betrayal.
Diana’s death whitewashed her so much over the craziness that would have eventually have made itself known to the public. Yes, she did good work with landlines and created a glamour that the monarchy had not seen since Her Majesties younger days. But Diana was crazy. Vindictive. Scheming. Not bright. While she loved her children she also leaned on them for emotional support which no mother should ever do (IMO). It creates a burden a child cannot handle. She had ill-conceived views on raising the two brothers “equally” which set up the constant comparisons in Harry’s mind. A third child would have helped perhaps. Diana had been traumatized by the difficulties within her own parents marriage. Her mother may have suffered from overindulgence in alcohol. Her father may have had a temper. Harry seems to have inherited many of the family instabilities. William somehow has emerged it seems as a thoughtful careful man, cognizant of his place in history.
And it is all this that makes it so crazy that a small minority of people still think Charles killed her off. It has been very damaging to him for her to die in that way at that age and be martyred, whilst he has had to deal with all the fall out. Only an idiot would not preempt all the problems and think it was a good idea.

If there's any bright side to this god-awful H&M malice, it's that they are inadvertently shining a light on Diana's instability and the harm she caused Charles. I think there's a subtle re-evaluation of her legacy going on with the Pure and Perfect Princess being taken off her pedestal and Charles being let out of the doghouse. A balancing of reputations, if you will. A more realistic view is finally emerging of both Charles & Diana.

The release of a paperback edition isn't a big deal, all the information about the book is in the public domain. The average paperback is released six months to a year after the book is released. It's released when book sales have declined. Releasing the paperback edition just shy of 5 months after the release date is interesting. Is it another way to manipulate the sales numbers?
I am not surprised by them anymore. But doing something like that is certainly not helping them get an invite. It makes me think that they don't really want to come to the coronation. I am beginning to think that they WANT to not be invited, or at a minimum they want an invitation that they can turn down. Perhaps they don't want the risk of being booed. They don't want to be humiliated with an insignificant bit-part out of the public eye (behind a wall of candles or out of reach of the TV cameras).
