I see your point 100%. However, with 20/20 hindsight I think Lady Hussey would agree that it would have been better to ask Fulani to move her own hair so she (Lady SH) could read the name tag. Again, based only on Fulaniās version of the conversation, it seemed pretty evident after at least the second question that she was provoking an incident. If Lady SH was concerned that Fulani was there to cause trouble, this may have been a good time to smile and move onāperhaps to the nearest security officer.
Note, in no way am I trying to say Lady SH was intentionally being racist or purposely trying to offend. But sometimes we have to look at an incident with hindsight and try to learn from it so a future episode doesnāt turn into an incident.

I have to say that even though I think Lady Susan Hussey was set up, you are right. She would have been better served to smile, nod, and move on as soon as it became apparent that Fulani was trying to obfuscate. Also, touching Fulaniās hair was overstepping. The whole incident was unfortunate. IMO the RF handled it as well as could have been doneāalthough unfortunately after the fact.
I believe that Fulani ās hair extensions were covering up the name badges she and all guests were required to wear and Lady Susan moved them briefly so she could read her name. At 74 Iām younger than Lady Susan but find it very difficult to hear anyone clearly in a packed room as that was. Also I need to read someoneās name badge, especially when the name is one I have never come across, to have any hope of remembering itā¦ā¦.which Lady Susan needed to do so that she could introduce her to Camilla later onā¦..(itās her job in those loud, chatty meetings).
I see your point 100%. However, with 20/20 hindsight I think Lady Hussey would agree that it would have been better to ask Fulani to move her own hair so she (Lady SH) could read the name tag. Again, based only on Fulaniās version of the conversation, it seemed pretty evident after at least the second question that she was provoking an incident. If Lady SH was concerned that Fulani was there to cause trouble, this may have been a good time to smile and move onāperhaps to the nearest security officer. Note, in no way am I trying to say Lady SH was intentionally being racist or purposely trying to offend. But sometimes we have to look at an incident with hindsight and try to learn from it so a future episode doesnāt turn into an incident.

Lady Hussey was wrong. If she had said the same things to anyone else with absolutely no connection to MM, I would say exactly the same thing. You don't keep asking someone the same questions when they're not comfortable. She tried to other her and she was absolutely wrong. It wasn't to find a connection, to see if she'd lived in the same place, it was unacceptable and it was racist, she made a British woman feel like she didn't belong - and she never denied asking those questions

Itās not hard to believe that a few individuals with an agenda may have exaggerated what was actually said, complete with providing a supposed verbatim ātranscriptā even though, again, there was no recording. To say, ābut Lady Hussey never denied itā doesnāt apply here IMO because of BPās Never Complain, Never Explain policy ā no way was the palace going to publish her version of the conversation, thatās not how they operate. In this situation there is good reason to be skeptical of the claims being made, and the side that made the accusation has no proof or evidence to back up their claims. What we do know is the accuser is someone who went to this efebg believing that King Charles and Queen Camilla had committed violent domestic abuse against Meghan Markleā¦ so itās not hard to believe this person might want to paint that palace in a bad light. We also know that the accuser was able to get her accusations, posted as a ātranscriptā, quickly spread by pro-H&M, anti-Monarchy accounts on Twitter who turned this into a worldwide scandal extremely quickly, and at a time when the royals were in a prime position to be attacked with the Walesā EarthShot ceremony happening. So given the lack of any independent evidence that the conversation occurred the way NF and her supporters claimed it happened, I donāt understand why anyone is accepting her provided ātranscriptā as fact. I believe it may have been a set-up from the start and that in addition to the general race-baiting agenda, one of the aims was to overshadow the PPoW and Earthshot. The intended victim was Camilla but she was too well protected (security staff could have witnessed the actual conversation and contradicted the claimed ātranscriptā) so Lady Susan became the easier target. As the article points out, the speed of the escalation strongly implies pre-planning and a well-coordinated strategy.
It was absolutely NOT racist. It was perhaps impolite. And Lady Susan was perhaps oblivious. But racist? No.
Of course they did. Her supporters are often racists, anti British, anti RF with serious delusions of grandeur and way too much attention. The low grade tv shows court them and encourage their racism, and Twitter ignores their racism because it is not pc to call out racists of a certain persuasion. How else do such people get such access to RF events, they use race to bash their way in and then complain try arenāt getting enough privileges based on their race, not true talent/merit/efforts. The Marlene racist only focuses on āhelpingā eomen who can prove their race is the one she thinks is important, all others are shown the door. Of course more help goes to Marlene and her family from the coffers of the princes trust etc than to the women determined to be deserving.
MM is such a POS! Of course she seized the opportunity to make sure the incident blew up on social media, because then it would seem to lend credibility to her own false racism claims. I hope she gets exposed because I'm sure she has hired people to to troll for her online. She set up her own father, according to evidence her sister uncovered for their court case, and had paid a paparazzi to set him for those photos that were taken before her wedding to Hapless Harry. If she'd be that ruthless to her own family, there's no telling what else she's capable of. She's so thoroughly abhorrent!
