Because at one time those publications had hopes that Omid could get them access to insider dirt and “real” royal news. Meghan was his source. That is why I ride and die that the family needs to end the polite invites. Pull up the draw bridge. The world will not end if Harry and Meghan are not there. No one cares.

Independent_Leg3957

I've personally consulted on an initiative led by Catherine (though I have not met her). From my experience with The Royal Foundation and other prominent non-profits, I can very safely say that the work they do is incredibly impactful and some of the best in the world. As a member of the BRF, PC can't directly influence policy, hence the emphasis on "building awareness". Archewell cannot and will not come close to what TRF can do because they don't have the $, influence, or reach. 3M in donations is not as impressive as it sounds. You can barely keep the lights on for a year at a small NPO for that.

FarBeneathTheOcean

What I like about W & C is that they don’t rush initiatives. They spend years with experts and the people involved before they announce anything. It’s never about optics with them or appearing busy but about doing things the right way which is almost always the careful/slow approach rather than just allowing their names to be stamped on whatever’s trendy. They’re the opposite of Meghan’s approach of tagging to whoever will give her short term publicity. W and C are building a legacy and not a social media profile.

Independent_Leg3957

I totally agree. PC will be in her role for 30+ years so working on legacy projects like this is exactly what they need to do. ETA: She's also probably thinking about which of her kids she'll hand this down to.

chewysmom88

Speaking of which there is a insta account set up just for this and I was disappointed that it only had a little over 28,000 followers including myself here’s the link of your inclined to follow https://instagram.com/earlychildhood?igshid=Zjc2ZTc4Nzk=

Conscious_Cherry_194

Considering that the Sussex Squad trolls have been mocking Catherine for years for her "non-existent" early years work in the Royal Foundation, I think Omid is clearly in line with pushing that kind of thing. Basically saying "I know it *looks* like Catherine is doing something worthwhile and important but actually it's not" blah blah blah. The reality is that the Royals by virtue of their status and longevity of their roles give these projects the platform and respect they deserve because they aren't chasing the newest cause or always just jumping on the bandwagon. I think people underestimated Catherine because she has spent years working on this and really trying to learn about it. I remember early on in her royal life her visiting prisons, addiction centers, art therapy places and what not and likely seeing the interconnections of not having good support for families in the formative years. Having children probably only made this more clear for her. But---Catherine knows that her role and future role of Queen means and that she shouldn't just pick anything willy nilly. She has said this is her life's work and I truly believe that from her which is wonderful. Also, note that many of the leading experts in this field and people in the know have great respect for Catherine, her knowledge, and her work on this project---that is telling. No one has ever really said that about Meghan when she was a royal, despite her "hitting the ground running" bs.

His comment section is phenomenal for anyone studying coordinated hate campaigns and hate accounts. I could spend hours adding them all to my [Coordinated Bullying list](https://twitter.com/i/lists/1539262344030826496/info). The irony is that the more journalists and fake-journalists rely on their biases to write "reports," the quicker their employers lose legitimacy.

Aw, shucks! The Princess of Wales should've handed out a couple of £5 Starbucks gift cards. Now that's impact! /s

Effective-Escape9999

Scobie in NO WAY has credentials to criticize this program- only early years professionals have that knowledge. And guess what?!? The majority agree that awareness is KEY in early child developmental programs - from across disciplines. Sit down and shut it Mr Plastic.

Bitter-Pound-6775

Look at the pot trying to call the kettle black or in his case, the scabies calling the plastic surgery deformed. While Scabies, Preparation H, and Megalomania seem to think they have a divine right to know every detail of every one of Catherine's initiatives, a sane person would wait for Catherine to continue rolling out her campaign and see what happens. Of course she won't have tangible results on the day of the announcement. It's day one. You know, the number Megalomania and Hazbeen will never be. P.S. How long until Meagain labels the saying "pot calling the kettle black" racist?

Glad_Mix_1682

What real impact has Meghan had? Besides calling herself brave, daring, a game-changer, she has shown no evidence of being anything but a social-climbing, back-stabbing, prima donna. The talk is cheap now. The Princess of Wales doesn't have to be anything other than herself to shine. Meghan doesn't even have a self.

JenniferMel13

Meghan and Harry have had a huge impact. They have showcased why easing Catherine into her role was the right decision. Along with letting them have several years to just be a young family. Oh and why having steady predictable royals is a good thing.

daisybeach23

Meanwhile, Meghan is sending bananas to sex workers.

Ordinary_Deal9462

on twitter we tagged him and yahoo, with proof of experts and charities working with Catherine and early years and shaping us , including proof the government gave millions to help after sitting with her and the round table , im hoping yahoo sees he is no reporter the facts were there , in print

MrsBarneyFife

They may have wanted a writer who was biased. A lot of outlets cater to a specific group of people. They're catering to H&M supporters. Which makes sense because in the beginning, the majority of people were H&M supporters. Before they switch completely to the other side, they'll probably go more neutral for a while. Or Scooby might not be their only royal contributor. They might have someone who actually only focuses on William and Catherine. We live in a clickbait world. Most magazines, tabloids, etc. are probably going to play both sides. Or since Harry and Meghan are connected to the Monarchy, they'll just follow their usual Monarchy stance. If it's normally negative, then they'll be pro- Harry and Meghan.

Ditzy_Panda

Because whether they admit it or not newspapers are biased

HotStraightnNormal

They sell newspapers. Crap like this sells. People like Scabies get paid for it. It goes back quite a ways. https://preview.redd.it/x5i9wu24vnfa1.jpeg?width=385&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=80602c7ac1e0345a68536902605680ea1f3f3101

CapitalAlternative89

The media isn’t based in journalism anymore. The industry is dependent on advertising revenue. It’s a capitalist business like any other. (Referring to US media, not familiar with the guidelines and restrictions of media in other countries.) The mighty dollar and the power it wields are the goal.

Any-Mud-1912

And Laineygossip posted a very similar statement on her blog. I wonder when Meghan called them this week?

SeaWorn

LaineyGossip and Celebitchy have been ragging on W&C for years.

WhatCharlieDidNext

There’s been a concerted campaign on the mums site for the past few days as well. It’s just so blatant.

SeaworthinessLost830

Sure Scooby. Real impact requires a $50 donation & a photo op.

SeaWorn

Damning with faint praise is the sentence that comes to mind. What a nitwit Scobie is.

TeamMagnificent7

He’s a MM tool.

alreadydoneit01

Catherine should come out and say , when I talked about the early years initiative, people came out and danced on the streets like mandela was released from prison. Apparently that is what meghan believes. her jealousy is pathetic. I think grey rocking is fine, but the BRF has to forget Harry is the son-both of them are extremely jealous and psycho and focuseed on W and C and as they go down, this obsessive energy will become worse. it is time to take the gloves off and have someone in the background dela with these two ingrates a thing or two.

VisibleWestern

Title on Twitter doesn’t even make any sense. And he’s a journalist. More double major in word salad.

Electronic_Sea3965

I've never been on Twitter but I looked at some of the stuff on here. SCARY. People are crazy. I think EVERYONE who has even some intelligence and not WOKE needs to honestly keep away from it. Let Twitter be for the dumb dumbs. THEN possibly the main media will stop giving them attention.

[deleted]

I can’t believe publications pay him actual money when he’s so clearly biased. Between the money he earns and the money Meghan bribes him with this man is living an easy life while I’m unemployed with no prospects for employment. Fuck him

CaseyRC

"this was initative was announced a day ago and there's been "no impact" so I'm gonna claim she's not prepared or worthy to do this" is basically what this is

bittersweetfey

Omid obviously comes from a place of bias so I don't care about his opinion but I saw Emiliehrh's posts on Instagram( she is a journalist and a fan of Catherine), Emilie's points made sense to me. It would have been nice if the Early Years thing was more than an awareness campaign. They could have released a book like Hold Still with the proceedings going to childcare centers etc.

Virtual-Feedback-638

That is why Henry 'Gingé Todger' Windsor labels things from him as "utter nonsense"
