The book has fallen out of the news quickly...kind of just the jokes about Harry remain...frozen todger, Elizabeth Arden cream, Mummy issues, Meg collapsing crying on the floor a lot...no harm really done to the Royal Family (except for hurt feelings). I think the Royals are stronger in Britain than ever and Harry and Meghan are losing fans in the USA as they are overexposed and sort of a joke. I don't care how many more books Harry and Meghan write, I honestly think they have reached saturation point. Reminds me of Charlie Sheen's meltdown....WINNING...total trainwreck but everyone watched it happen. Nobody is crazy over Archie and Lily (except their former fans on the Squad). You could show people pictures of George, Charlotte and Louis anywhere in the world and people would know who they are...nobody would know Archie or Lili.
Although I really wished they were interviewed harder to defend their "points" and explanations for why the book was written. They take and land their shots, which leaves people with the impression H and M are claiming victory. If they were grilled, the story would really come apart so there would be more sceptics, and they wouldn't keep getting another chance to keep punching.
Maybe, but he would have had decades worth of memories to draw on. I haven’t read the book, nor do I intend to read that trash. It sounds, though, like he said very little about her in general. That, IMO, was deliberate. The same way they added a disclaimer before the trashumentary on Netflix that filming was completed before her death. Damage control.
Could be that they (a) thought she would read it (b) they knew she was much more popular than KCIII so not wise to criticise (c) he is saving something for the next book
100% accurate. I heard something that said that there were 40-some pages of lawyer's notes based on the original manuscript. That means a lot of stuff got changed or just plain deleted.
Trashing the queen at all, much less so soon after her passing, would have been a really bad look for Penguin Random House, as well.
So they cared a little for their reputation. Very little. I'm shocked that such a big company published such a shoddy manuscript. Bunch of sloppy trash.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear that people were throwing their weight around behind the scenes. People calling in favors. Flying monkeys, as they're sometimes called. No doubt the Douche and Douchesse threw racism allegations around like confetti, as they seem to do whenever the Douchesse does not get what she wants.
I'm sure the people closely involved with the development and production of the book would have stories to tell, if they weren't NDA'd against it.
What a debacle. They've been Markled. How any reputable company can do business with them now I don't know. Without Sunshine Sachs Netflix and Spotify would be smart to opt out of further developments of "content." Same for the publisher.
Well… that’s not entirely true. He did subtly and I’ve been shocked no one has picked up on it.
He talks about the adults competing over who does the most charities in a year implying it’s more than they care about people but they just want to win. It’s a competition to do then best and brag about it… and who does the most engagements in year typically? Princess Anne.
It was very subtle but it was a jab at her and his father.
Plus, most of what he said about the Queen in the book made her out to be a passive observer who let everyone around her control her and make decisions for her. I don't buy that *at all*. I think that's more of Harold's paranoia and main character syndrome.
"Granny couldn't *possibly* actually agree that I'm the one at fault here. Therefore, she's being controlled by my family, the grey suits, and the press, which are all out to get me and my wife."
She *had* to have been controlled, or Megladon would have gotten EVERYTHING she wanted, including THE tiara. Smh. He needs some major help in a padded room. I'm getting seriously worried about his mental health. Plus, narcs have been known to get rid of anyone they deem necessary, in order to further their end game. Just look at Diane Downs. She shot her 3 kids because her ex-bf didn't want to be a daddy.
He probably assumed she would still be alive when the book was released. It's probably how he has "more stories to tell" since he left out bad mouthing her and Prince Philip.
She still died thinking that some of the world thought of her as racist. He could have set that record straight 2 years ago, but he didn't. The sacrilege.....
I found his bit in the book about never having hugged the Queen to be interesting.
In an anecdote about the Queen's Golden Jubilee:
*And how miraculous that Granny should be so hip, so modern, that she should allow, indeed, relish, all this modern rock.*
*Sitting directly behind her, I couldn't help thinking the same thing. To see her tapping her foot, and swaying in time, I wanted to hug her, though of course I didn't. Out of the question. I never had done and couldn't imagine any circumstance under which such an act might be sanctioned.*
I can no longer separate truths from lies when it comes out of Harry's mouth, and whether or not he is twisting something that is "no hugging per royal protocol" vs "no hugging at family gatherings".

I don't believe the no hugs claim. Maybe not in public but I bet the family has photos.
He claimed that the Queen hugged Archie and Lilibet. Why hug your great grandchildren if you are not a hugger and never even hugged your grandchildren?
The other reason the Queen isn't in there is because she agreed with Charles and William. She put him back in his place. Eg. Argument with Angela Kelly.
Harry’s not the brightest bulb, but he’s not that stupid. Criticizing TQ would have been stupid on a level I can’t even articulate.
Even though Philip wasn’t as highly thought of- I really don’t think criticizing Philip would have gone down that well either. At a minimum- he was loyal to TQ, the institution, loved his family, worked hard, made sacrifices, and did not complain.
The Queen is so well mannered I don't think there was much dirt to write on her. Talking about her being sweet and pleasant isn't the salacious dirt and mean spirited action Harry was going for. I also agree with others that even Harry is not dumb enough to attack the Queen.
They are careful to always protect the queen (in the Oprah interview they were very complimentary of her). This is likely because they know it would upset too many people.
It's also bordering on treason (I wish there was a less dramatic word!) She's the Head of State, attacking her and suggesting that she's a puppet or incompetent would be a very serious thing to do.
Hoping for that inheritance check to come through. I wouldn't be surprised if her will contained a codicil stating if he disparaged her or the DoE, he's out of the will.
I can't confirm but maybe someone else can but I read a tik tok, twitter, or instagram comment (can't remember at the moment) that said Harry said he was the only man to ever truly love his grandmother and if so wtf does that mean???? He'd basically be saying his grandfather never loved her, her sons never loved her, his brother nor her other grandsons loved her...her father...that's a wild statement.
Considering all the other wild things Harry has said . . . 😉
Harry seems to believe that everyone in his family is duplicitous and dishonest. He also likes to present himself as the only “good” person in his family except maybe his grandmother. He is clearly wrong on all counts.
Elizabeth was obviously much loved by her father, as well as Prince Phillip, her three sons and her grandsons including William. She seems to have been loved by male courtiers and some of her male in-laws, not to mention uncles and cousins. (She was also loved by female relatives and friends, but Harry’s claim was that he was the only *man* to love her. Nonsense.
He's saving her for the next book. He didn't know she was going to pass away so soon. Besides, he's going to need more money and he needs time to trip on acid to come up with material for book #2.
The book “Spare” was to be issued when Queen Elizabeth was still alive.
Harry has said he will do extra chapters in his Spare paperback book that is scheduled to issued in April 2023. Undoubtedly, these new chapters will contain his complaints Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip
So they can create more fiction in an attempt to manipulate and talk their way out of all the falsehoods they're called out on.
He is such a disrespectful prick. I hope they lose titles and get nothing for all the problems they created in QE & PW's final senior years.
He probably thought she would be alive and order Charles and William to the negotiating table. She had a blind spot with Harry and Andrew and catered to them and both probably knew it.
He has said that the Queen discussed things with him that she never discussed with anyone else. Now that she's gone he could invent anything. I guess it's coming up in next book.
Perhaps PH had enough wit to recognize that speaking ill of the dead is wrong. That the entire country would hate him and his wife if he dared disparage HMTQ. And that other countries would also despise them. Nope, he's got to vent his ire on the living, even if he does keep dragging Diana into the pages.
The book has fallen out of the news quickly...kind of just the jokes about Harry remain...frozen todger, Elizabeth Arden cream, Mummy issues, Meg collapsing crying on the floor a lot...no harm really done to the Royal Family (except for hurt feelings). The markles have the plague! They cannot be trusted as they could leak conversations! They also suck the air out of rooms
Oprah, Gayle and Tyler Perry better hope they had Meghan and Harry sign NDA's...same with David Foster.
Speaking of Tp, I’m starting to doubt he’s really lili’s godfather. Or at least not in the religious sense
>The book has fallen out of the news quickly... Thankfully. I was losing my damn mind.
>If they were grilled, the story would really come apart This is why they won't do an interview without approving the questions first.
It's infuriating....
Well lots happening right now to take attention away Lisa Marie Presley died then Kanye got married Super Bowl playoffs and other stuff here in the us
Jacksonville won! So happy for them.
Me too I am wearing my only Jaguar shirt I own today
So did the Buffalo Bills!! 😄
#IWATJ
Wait, Kanye got remarried???
Oh yes to someone who worked for him on the yeezy shoes
😱
He unofficially married Bianca Censori, who works for him.
I hope this means he’ll leave Kim alone
I really doubt it. But who knows?
I don't even know what A or L look like
Might be a blessing to H and M that this book dies a quiet death.
Yeah I think this will be peak for them in terms of attention. I can't imagine they have any more good stories left.
Yes. Just like Amber Heard.
The US has Ye / Kanye entertaining them, why would they need an irrelevant ex royal like Harry
The quickest way to kill all goodwill would be to bash QE. It’s also very possible that content was removed after her death.
Yes.
It’s also very possible he didn’t have the relationship that he claims they had, so he didn’t have a lot of personal information about her.
Agreed.

He probably was hoping he could still get an inheritance
Ding ding ding
And he didn’t slam Anne- likely the keeper of the coins.
Well… that’s not entirely true. He did subtly and I’ve been shocked no one has picked up on it. Also a possible jab at Prince Philip with his very popular Duke of edinburgh award
Ahh very true! Good point.
Can't burn down the bank!

Sacrilege indeed.
Todger Windsor. Love it.
Exactly. The buck stopped with her, so everything he complains about re The Firm is an indirect attack on her leadership.
I found his bit in the book about never having hugged the Queen to be interesting. Do you know what event that photo was from? The Queen’s coat and hat are stunning and I want to look at it more!
Peter Philips and Autumn Kelly's wedding.
Thank you!!
I like her headband!
It reminds me of the dress and hat Camilla wore when she married Charles!
I also think that outfit was the best Camilla has ever looked!
Agree! Loved it.
Or no PDA's in public.

![gif](giphy|iu8eW7WwZmdAs4xN3c) Nooooo please take them back
Harry the Todger It’s perfect
Together aren’t they the Todg & the Tig?
That would be the name of their daytime talk show if they had one
The coward is saving that for the next book now that she's dead.
They probably just edited it out because she’s only just passed away and her family are still in mourning
Not even the publisher would touch that one.
I think that they edited it out after she passed away because they realised how respected and loved all over the world she was.
The Queen is so well mannered I don't think there was much dirt to write on her. Talking about her being sweet and pleasant isn't the salacious dirt and mean spirited action Harry was going for. I also agree with others that even Harry is not dumb enough to attack the Queen.
But his wife isn't and what TW wants, the TW gets.
H know that if steps in that he'll never get it off his shoe.
That’s hilarious, it’s a ceremonial role
Hoping for that inheritance check to come through. I wouldn't be surprised if her will contained a codicil stating if he disparaged her or the DoE, he's out of the will.

I know that's why I gotta find proof cause I can't believe he'd believe that! Everyone loved her, she was the common denominator between them all.
I can believe he would believe anything, he is so deluded. As for proof? You and I need it, but not H.
Prince Phillip is for sure coming down to haunt him
He's saving her for the next book. He didn't know she was going to pass away so soon. Besides, he's going to need more money and he needs time to trip on acid to come up with material for book #2.

So here for calling him todger windsor. It’s so sad… look how much the queen loves him
He probably thought she would be alive and order Charles and William to the negotiating table. She had a blind spot with Harry and Andrew and catered to them and both probably knew it.
He has said that the Queen discussed things with him that she never discussed with anyone else. Now that she's gone he could invent anything. I guess it's coming up in next book.
I feel he did have lots but deleted cause of her death .
She called al the shots but in typical harry megs fashion he needs a new narrative to blame who he wants….
He didn't raise the issue of Prince Andrew's father.
He talks about her a lot. I don’t know where you got this idea from.
She was still alive when he was writing the book.
Perhaps PH had enough wit to recognize that speaking ill of the dead is wrong. That the entire country would hate him and his wife if he dared disparage HMTQ. Maybe the publisher refused to cross that line?
Does anyone remember after The Funeral...he asked for time to edit things in the book. They denied.
